CruiseDirect is great! I use them to book every cruise. The customer service is top notch, they always offer the most on board credit/extras, and my cruising goes off without any problems. I will only book through them going forward
Date of experience: April 15, 2020The customer service person, Eugene Bent assisted me with all the questions arisen on payment probs in a very efficient and friendly manner.
He was so patient and helpful as I was fuming about the probs with the payment from Ukraine. The only way to solve the problem with the payment was either contacting our bank in Ukraine which was useless or calling MSC. Mentioning it costs me a fortune to call the USA from Ukraine, they made me a call immediately and sorted out my problem. I do appreciate your help, guys, and thank you for the possibility to touch the world via your cruises even living in the middle of nowhere. Good work! Eugene Bent deserves a bonus))

Very poor service and the people are not knowledgeable about what is going on. Go directly to the cruise line website for your booking.
Date of experience: July 8, 2020My wife and I arranged a cruise though CruiseDirect.com and a week later we were informed our information was stolen. They refused to elaborate and will not tell us what all was stolen, how many people were affected, nothing. They wanted to offer money, while in the meantime we began receiving phishing emails, phone calls and our email, phone number and credit cards were hacked. We found our information was sold on the dark web and they refused to respond. I would NEVER, EVER recommend these people as they are ignorant A-Holes. Now the criminals also know when we will not be home! We had to contact security, police, Department of State as our passports were stolen, credit card and credit reporting. We just wanted our money back. We have to now replace our passports and my wife has a passport from a foreign country, so we have to fly there to get it replaced and it is in Europe. They people are despicable.

I had the pleasure of interacting/chatting with Hans Vega who not only answered my questions as I was trying to book 2 rooms at a time for 4 people. Hans was so nice to offer to help me with the booking as I needed the rooms either next to each other or across the hallway. He really made a difference and I appreciated his honesty and transparency. I am referring other friends to him to help with their booking.

Date of experience: November 30, 2019For quite a few years our family has been choosing CruiseDirect as our major instrument to book cruises. Does not matter we live in Europe, we always received very good care and most satisfying service from the Customer Service before and even after a cruise. Recently we booked cruise with NCL but could not resolve issue of their CruiseNext deposit, how to add it to our payments. We tried to get answers from NCL via e-mails but did not receive answer apart of confirmation of e-mail receipt. Mr. Enrique Bravo was a CS person who interfered, helped to find traces of the deposit and add it to payments already done. Many thanks to him and other Customer Service colleagues! Good work!

False advertisement. They said no cancellation fee but then try to charge $35 per person
They claim to be BBB Accredited Business but there is no record of them in bbb.org
Don't believe their 'Book with confident' but they don't back it

Date of experience: March 7, 2022I recently wrote a review about a $100 coupon that was promised to me by cruise direct when I booked a cruise for me and my son on the Cunard flagship. I had tried for months to get the coupon with no success and finally gave up and wrote the review. It was a poor review and soon after I was contacted by a cruise direct staff member offering to resolve my problem if I retracted my review and that I would be compensated additionally for all the time Id spent going back and forth. I received another email with yet another link to a coupon and surprise, surprise after choosing an Amazon gift card this one did not work as well but I spent over an hour trying to get it to work all the Amazon site said was that the code given had already been redeemed. Of course I complained again and once again I've received no reply. It would seem that cruise direct has no intention of treating its customers correctly and I would advise anyone considering to book a cruise to reconsider using cruise direct.

Our Jorge Jorge Rodriguez was amazing and helped us every step of the way! He helped us find a room, with the package we wanted and was right there with me every step of the way! I booked the cruise and the site says guaranteed low price. Well 2 days after my booking the price dropped by almost $200. I called back and they said because it's past 24 hours they can't honor it.
I booked a cruise with them 2 days ago. So far so good. They registered my on-board ship credit within a day. Their offers were slightly better than Expedia, Priceline, cruisecritic, etc. What I'm most impress so far is the customer service. It is so quick and friendly. I am dealing with Eugene Marc-Henry through on-line chat and he's very helpful. So far so good, I'll update after my cruise, hopefully 5 stars remain!

I have not cruised before and was not sure where we should go so the whole family could have fun. They were great! Not only was the representative patient but also so helpful in explaining the different things that can be done in the different islands and stops. They gave me exactly the right information and gave the best suggestions. Needless to say I will never book anywhere other than CruiseDirect. I got a great deal, with the children sailing free and a beverage package for me and my husband! They had an offer of free gratuities too but the drinks package worked out to be a better value. I used there chatting feature which was pretty cool to ask a few questions before I booked it online. Overall two thumbs up!

Cruise direct was extremely useful, even we had a little issue with the cruise line, Eugene Marc called me as he committed with me.
