    I purchased a fishing rod on 8/29/23 for $199. My order did not ship until 9/7/23 and the price dropped to $149 on the eve of 9/6, the day before my order shipped. Most companies would simply apologize for inconvenience and provide a $50 credit to your method of payment. Not these clowns. Complete a RMA and reorder at lower of two prices. Usually when companies take this approach and waste your time & money in an attempt to save $50, Shady Operation and good luck sorting out any kind of RMA credit. Greed and Ignorance prevails. Tip for consumers:Who doesn't want to procure items over the Internet at the lowest price possible?? Turns out places like this have terrible customer support and will make their customers jump through hoops to return something and get your money back.     Ordered a few factory seconds from them that are listed to have SMALL cosmetic or stitching blemishes. 3 out of 6 items had large holes that had been restitched. Plus large cosmetic damages.     Their shipping price is pretty high to start. The items I intended to buy were seven pairs of socks, and, with the $10 shipping, I didn't order (wasted time). A few hours later, there was a Free Shipping code in my email, so I ordered. If they charged a reasonable rate for shipping, that would earn more business Tip for consumers:They don’t really send you a free shipping code when you provide your email.     Purchased 5.10 MTB shoes for my wife. They did not fit, so I returned them, unworn and within their allotted return timeframe. They sent them back to me saying they were not re-sellable but with no specifics as to why. I used their instant refund and bought a different pair of shoes at the time I did the paperwork. Now, I am going to sell the shoes they say are unsellable and return the shoes I bought from them. They can suck it, and pay shipping. Screw you Sierra!     I used to buy great stuff at Sierra but, based on my last purchase, I see nothing to like about this company and will never buy from them again. I ordered two pair of slippers. Both were clearly returns, scuffed and one pair had slightly dirty soles. I'd return them but the outrageous charge for returns makes it not worthwhile. I don't even understand buying from this company when, with Amazon, I could have returned both without charge. I will NEVER buy from Sierra Trading Post again.     I ordered a jacket online and received it ripped, and I returned it to the store for an exchange they said it's only available online and I have to return it and place another order. I did order it again online and received it ripped too. They're selling a damaged or used stuff without mentioning anything in the description. Don't waist your time and money with Sierra it's terrible I give them 1 star just because I have to in order to post my review
    The manager Alicia is rude and disrespectful. I stood in long line to pay and there was only two cashiers. I witnessed Alicia and another employee with a clip board standing by the side of the cashier station talking, then they moved to the back of the store and continued to talk knowing the line was long, Alicia and who believe to be another manager talking without any concern about the long line, they both could of could of opened up another cash register to help move the line, whatever they were talking about seemed more important than customer service. And when told Alicia about it, She said she felt sorry for me because I had nothing better to do with my day! Rude. I will not go back into that store to spend my money.
    I have ordered from Sierra twice now... BOTH Times for gifts, and both times order was cancelled without ANY notification. When I ask about the orders... THEN I am told they are cancelled because of the bank, yet the money is on hold in the account and there is NO issues with anyone else... WORST customer interaction, communication and service EVER!     Ordered something on 1/5. Site says 3-4 day shipping. Contacted them on the 9th as I hadn't received anything saying the order had been cancelled! No text - no email - cancelled. Theyve had my payment tied up at the bank since the 5th and are telling me the money isn't released because of bank policy. Funny, in 20 years with this bank I've never had issues. This company has no customer service and only kids and the elderly taking the calls. It isn't that much money but this is just wrong. I'll never buy from them again.     I am very disappoint with my purchase. I placed an online order with Sierra for the first time and will never shop with them again. I order a size pair of CROCS and the right shoe was smaller then the left shoe, both shoes are marked size 9, but they fit different. The left shoe fits fine and is roomy, the right shoe is fitted and my foot is hanging slightly off the shoe. I they are uncomfortable to walk in. I've had them for less then a week and cannot return them because they've been worn. VERY DISAPPOINTED. Tip for consumers:Do not buy from Sierra's. They sell irregular/defective items.     I needed a pair of shoes in this package for a mini vacation, so I ordered early. I went on my trip, returned and I still don't have the package! I will not need suede shoes to wear this spring or summer when FedEx finally delivers. The real problem is FedEx, yet Sierra customer service didn't want to hear it. My package has been on their truck locally for four days and gets returned daily to their hub that's located 10 minutes from my house. A 'kid' supervisor called this morning to ask directions to my address. Proves they have my phone number, yet the driver did not try to reach me when he/she was unable to locate my house. They list reasons for non-delivery as no such address or customer provided wrong address. Yay, maybe I won't have to pay taxes my 33rd year living here. I have to wonder how Sierra Trading is able to stay in business when so many reviews give them one star rating... just like mine.     My husband bought me a piece of luggage for Christmas. I loved the suitcase and didn't plan on returning so why keep the receipt? However, after one use a wheel feel off. I tried to return for another suitcase, but they said I need a receipt. I told them to look up the purchase on the credit card used, like most highly functioning retailers do, but they said they didn't have that capability and there was nothing they could do. What a joke! After looking at all of the reviews for Sierra, I'm not sure how they stay in business. They need to go get some customer service training from Chick-fil-a, Starbucks, Nordstrom's.     Hey all, I just recently made an order, no word on shipping after a 8 days so I called. Order was canceled because their system won't allow them to lose money on the shipping costs... I live in Hawaii, so it was probably a little more for them haha. Anyways, I discovered if you choose the cheapest shipping option, generally they should ship your order.     It's sad to see the old Sierra Trading Post that was my go to for outdoor gear disappear. I could always find some treasures at the store with amazing deals. The new business model has completely changed the store and the experience. They have become just another overly crowded chain store in a strip mall. Online there is a small fraction of the options they used to have with less and less deals every time I look. No longer a store I'll count on for outdoor gear options or good deals. Look elsewhere.     Ordered items with two day air shipping. Never got a tracking number and my rafting trip coming up fast. I called them and they said it was cancelled. They took the money from my account, but told me it was cancelled because my bank account was declined. I never got any updates of that. Strange how my order was cancelled but my card still shows the charge a week later. They said it was the banks fault. The bank says I got screwed.     We used to shop at STP all the time. And spent thousands of dollars there. They had high quality gear at great prices and unmatched customer service. Then they sold to tj max. All the good gear brands are gone. Now it's just like shopping at any other discount store. Low quality products, prices are only mediocre, shipping sucks, and their customer service has become worse than any other site. Very disappointing. Nice job ruining a great company!     TERRIBLE customer service. I bought an item online (sierra.com), which was the wrong size. I returned it to their store and they issued me a receipt and said I would be refunded by Paypal, which is how the original purchase was made. Two months later, after countless emails and phone calls with their customer service department, they still refuse to refund my money! I've provided the transaction number, order number receipt, and even a photo of the receipt that shows everything! They have/had footage of me returning the jacket in their store, but they still won't refund my money. I've also filed a complaint with the BBB and am preparing a claim against them. Their customer service is very frustrating. They send stock replies that say they'll be back to you within 24-48 hours, but then nothing happens and you have to call and explain it all over again to a new person! Tip for consumers:Please google sierra.com reviews. You'll find people HATE this company and they have terrible customer service.
