We had a cover for our motor home which quickly ripped around the seam stitching meaning it could not be tethered down well. They did replace it, however the second one had the exact same fault but they would not replace or offer for to pay for an upgrade in the model I had originally purchased or any discount to buy a new cover. They warranty is based on the date of the purchase of the first item. The fact the replacement has the exact poor quality stitching and is effectively a defective product and was only used for a few months was not of interest to this company. So disappointed. $300+ wasted. I put my hand under the cover and my car was cool. The cover that I got this year doesn't protect my car so I researched back to see where I bought that cover and it was Empire Covers. I have an old 94 legend and I want to protect it from this terrible sun. Can't wait to get my cover for my car because they tell us we will have this horrible hot sun till October. Would not exchange, did offer to take it back but sent no return tag or shipping info so shipping costs were out of my pocket. Have been emailing with them since November. Their response time per email is about 3 to 4 weeks to get a simple answer. It was purchased through Amazon. Was told even though it's their cover, exchanging has to go through Amazon. So not sure if I am getting the run around. We had rain a couple days ago and there are still some beaded water bubbles sitting on top of the covers. When I measured I didn't allow for the angles on a square fire-pit with 4 chairs around it and had to exchange it. Their customer service was exemplary. Just wish we'd ordered them a few years ago. The cover was actually very easy to put on. Did my homework to make sure the one I was ordering was going to be the right size. Well, it didn't fit. Needed to be 2 to 3 feet longer. I called Empire Covers and they are sending me another one with no questions asked. Didn't charge me for it. So far, they have kept our patio furniture completely dry when it rains. Just because of the design of our furniture, which is more round-shaped with a swivel base instead of legs, it is a bit tricky to figure out the best way to put the covers on, and the tie-downs don't work for us because--no legs. However, that is something we can work figure out. We are really pleased with our purchase and have recommended Empire Covers to our neighbors. We would not hesitate to use them again in the future. A couple clips broke after about a year and a half keeping the cover tight. I just Bought a second cover for the same boat just to have a backup in case any damage or the crazy weather decides to take my cover. Where to cut the hole, if one does cut a hole would that void the warranty. I did get 2 small square pieces with holes in them: GREAT! How to measure for cutting the 1/2" hole, you have a 3'high antenna. How do you account for centering the hole anywhere near with the cover draped up over the antenna.
