    Avoid this company. You do not get what you pay for. When you complain about it you get ignored. I've tried to cancel this 4 times and I keep being charged for it and boxes sent. Glossybox will take £130 from you bank account annually thereafter, but you will not receive any items. It is not possible to contact by telephone as the lines are permanently closed. The online chat is just a robot. If you complete the online enquiry form you will receive a reply that does not address the issue, then after you will be blanked The only way to receive reimbursement is to enter a lengthy 'Dispute Procedure' with your Bank.     I ordered two advent calendars for my daughters. One is missing an entire row of product. I finally got ahold of a customer service agent at Glossybox and they will not replace the missing product that I paid for. Not a good experience. I will not ever order from this company again.     I ordered a 12 month subscription for my mom for xmas. She received 5 months and then it stopped. No contact; no refund; nothing. After many, many messages, they said it was backordered, they no longer ship to the US, we never paid, etc etc etc. Overall they stole my money and I'd never use them again.     Products are tiny, cheap( I can find better products at the dollar tree) and ugly colors! Customer service is horrible! Dont waste your money!     Where do I start?! I only received 1 box yet my bank account is full of transactions from this company. They have taken so many unauthorised payments from my account, even though they have acknowledged my cancelled subscription! I started off being nice to them about it but now I'm just fed up and threatened them with Tranding Standards etc. They can't get away with that surely?! The box I did receive contained false eye lashes with no glue, a face scrub and a hair mask... definately not worth all this back and fourth nonsense!     My husband gave this to me as a gift. It was kind of fun for the first year (although there were not that many products that I would actually use or buy on my own -- and almost every product was TINY). Suddenly, a few days ago, up pops a "welcome to glossy box" email. The subscription had automatically renewed, without any warning. I emailed saying that I did not want to renew. Customer "service" says simply: that's our policy. Again, there was no warning that this was an automatic renewal. So, I am stuck with another year -- it has gone from somewhat fun to being a trap.     I never received anything from this company, I contacted them when my first box didn't arrive. Brittany didn't do anything, gave me 3 page UPS form to fill, and even after that nothing was done. And thereafter they had the nerve to me charge me one more time, and again not deliver. I can understand that stuff gets lost, but at least address the issue before shipping another one out.     They "fished" me with what seemed a "generous" offer for the 3 months. The products are not worthy, honestly, you can get things at the super market, and the subscription is set up in a way it is automatically renewed! You know how it goes: the automatic renewal term is written in the FAQ or somewhere that one needs to look for, and once you get invoiced you cannot claim the money back... pure scam disguised as "so sorry for your loss, you should have known better".     No May Box received; Initial email to customer service was on 5/20. This is they're automated response: "his automated message is a confirmation that your ticket has been received by the Customer Care team and will be responded to within 5-8 days, as we are experiencing a much higher than normal backlog." I have not heard anything. As second email received the same response. Again, have not heard from Glossybox customer care. Phoned 4 times - automated response said my call was place in a queue and they would call back. The line then went dead. This happened 4 times and have never heard back from them.     Poor customer service, products are advertised as luxury-- but we seriously got head and shoulders shampoo and conditioner in last months box. This was not my serious issue however.     I was a customer of Glossybox for 2 years. I realized that they paid little to no attention to my requests and continued to send items I had specifically said /I don't use. Cancelled my subscription 8 days before the renewal date and they charged me anyways. I have been fighting with them for THREE months now to return my money. I've been promised it back three times by different sales consultants/ service reps and today now they're saying they won't process my refund unless I remove my Paypal dispute. Paypal has advised against that in light of the fact that they are not following through as promised as then I will have no recourse. It has been a nightmare. There are many better subscription boxes that are easier to deal with and actually send you what you'd like to try (Ipsy, Birchbox to name a few). I will never deal with Glossybox again.     Awful customer service, have waited a whole month for my box, kept being told it would be shipped that day, funnily enough, that day kept not coming! I finally got my box with only a partial refund, and the box was half full! No information on the products which are in all the other boxes (seen online etc) and the wrong products. Absolute joke!     The most shady business practises I've experienced. I got the december box and knew about the subscription auto renewals as I've had many subscription services before but could not find any option to cancel it on the webpage. I assumed it was not part of a subscription because I used a code and got a different box then those who have subscribed. (I saw comments who have the subscription complaining not getting it and being neglected) In January they took my money for January and finally found an option to cancel and did. Because the subscription says still active although I received a confirmation e-mail that I cancelled I contacted CS. They stated me the policies for a 3,6 & 12 month subscription which does not apply here at all. After a bit back and forth, they even admitted that once you sign up and cancel immediately one more box will be generated after cancellation which means you automatically sign up for 2 boxes.     First, I want to highlight that the only good thing in this box is the packaging. The Company has the worse customer service that I have ever received in 11 Subs that I have been with. Glossy box is an Irresponsible Company that does not know how to handle marketing problem. They lack of KNOWLEDGE. For example they recently advertise a box for $13.3 and after customers ordered they cancelled orders saying that and employee messed up wit the advertisement. WHAT A SHAME to blame an employee publicly. Moreover, they are not giving anything back to customers to at list compensate this situation.     Ordered two weeks ago. Was billed. Received no updates. Emailed company multiple times with receipt from paypal for purchase. No response. No product. I bet they will still bill me for a subscription that they claim they can't find Date of experience: April 29, 2020
    The pros -- packaging is very nice, and the boxes I've received have had interesting items. The cons -- You can't trust this company. I signed up for a three month deal, and they charged me, but never sent the first month. When I contacted them about it, they refused to send a replacement, or honor the third month of the deal. Contacting customer service just gets you an "oh well, I can't do anything about that" response -- and I went through MONTHS of that.     WARNING! Do NOT subscribe to this company! The customer service is awful - basically non-existent. The number they give is never answered and the chat feature is always down! I cancelled my subscription and they renewed it anyway. I sent 10 emails seeking resolution and they refused to cancel my subscription. I am working with my states attorney generals office for resolution. I received numerous boxes with damaged or missing products - no resolution. Not with the money!     I recently ordered a May box using a code that also gave me a free Pink Diamond box. I was super excited until I noticed that my e-receipt didn't mention I would receive the free box (which was my whole reason for signing up). I've emailed customer service twice and so far no response. I tried calling and was on hold for 30 minutes before the line went dead.     The products were okay. (After several attempts to find out why I didn't receive any boxes but was charged for two!) Several hour long waits and being hung up on. Boxes are on their way.     I have been a suscriber for over a year. My December box has still not arrived. Their customer service is no help. When you ask on instagram you get a generic response but no explanation for why so many people have not received what they paid for. They also overcharged me and keep asking for proof.     I just received my January and February boxes today and I am in love with the packaging! The "Valentine's Day" themed box is just the cutest. I also love how sturdy the boxes are, as well. Great for storage. Once I opened the boxes, I noticed how much care they took to make sure it all was placed in the box well so nothing could happen during transit. I really appreciate that. As for the items in the box, I freaking love! Some of the items I would never have thought to get for myself but since I'm willing to try everything, I cannot wait to see what it does for my skin or hair. I am still amazed by their customer service and how quickly not only did I receive a response, but how quickly I got my box replacement.     I am making this review solely on their customer service so far. I was supposed to receive my box by 31st January and upon nothing being received and not seeing any movement on my box since the 27th, I emailed GLOSSYBOX through their site about the situation. I received an email stating they'll be back to me within 24 hours. They got back to me within 6 hours, which is pretty quick. Turns out USPS had lost my box (i've had this happen a few times with the USPS down here in Florida) so it wasn't a big surprise to me. Then they offered three decisions to make it right: replace the box immediately, refund me the money (I had ordered a 3 month subscription) or credit me the money on their LookFantastic partner site. I was really impressed with the options to make this right. I was really looking forward to my box so I opted for the first one. It has only been 6 hours again and I've been given a tracking number for a new replacement box. Now that to me, is customer service. I don't fault them for the loss of my package in transit, as it is out of their control. Disappointing? Absolutely. But did they make up for it? Oh yeah.     I signed up for the monthly box 4 months ago and do far, I'm satisfied. It's fun and the presentation of the box is beautiful. I don't really buy many beauty products, I hate to spend the money and end up disliking the product. With glossybox, there's a variety of beauty products and a description of how they work. I've even found products I plan to use daily and will probably buy in the future. I love the hey honey products, a few good eyeliners and my favorite, the nail polishes. There's masks in most of the boxes too, I give them to my mom, I'm not big on masks, but she loves the ones I've given her. I tried birchbox and glossy is so much better.
