Took Paradym driver to return within 30 days.played 1 round, did not like it.no scratches on club, was like new.Paid $646 for it,they offered $258 for return.Said it was used,They could not show me evidence of use.Their 90 day policy for returns applies only to clubs that have the cellophane packaging intact.Worthless and a misrepresentation. Will not shop there again. Waste of time! At first, I was excited because I was looking forward buying a new driver. Only to find out I cannot use their simulator (new policy). I was told in order to test any products you need to rent the area. I simply put it away and went to PGA Superstore, where I test and bought my Stealth driver:) To management, do you really believe those that want to purchase a club is going to rent first, and then buy. C'mon guys! You're smarter than that... Tip for consumers:Don't waste your time go PGA Superstore. Products used:Stealth Driver Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
Pricey golf shores ordered, arrived late and used. Grass and dirt on the shoes. Called for replacement pair and they agreed. Then canceled the order with no notification. So a week or so later, I called. No explanation why it was cancelled and no refund. They kept my money and cancelled the order. I requested the funds be returned. I'm still waiting. So I'm out the money and no shoes ‍ And a lot of time tracking it all down. Never again. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
Was referred by a fellow I played golf with who has taken lessons there for 2 years from Peter. Went to the store and sat directly in front of a salesperson that was helping another client. Was on the stool in an empty store in front of this person for a good 15 minutes who refused to acknowledge my presence. Finally flagged down another salesperson and told them I was interested in lessons. They knew nothing about anything concerning lessons ( price, etc.) Told me that the person I was referred to was vey busy, was leaving town for several weeks and booked up for months. Could not even tell me the price of lessons. Left my name and phone number for Peter to call me back. We will see if that happens. Would not hold my breath. How can you possibly run a business in this manner. Makes me re-evaluate if I really want to spend my hard earned cash there. Very poor impression. You would have to try very hard to make a worse 1st impression! If I could give zero stars, I would! Products used:none Service
On the third weekend of july 2023 Golf galaxy in akron had a grand reopening. I filled out a piece of paper with my name and phone number. I was told that if i won something I would be advised within a week if iI won. On the last weekend of August I received a phone call advising me that I had won a grand prize. After numerous phone calls and emails 11 weeks later I received my prize. I was also advised that do to the frustration I would receive a gift card from $#*!s sporting goods. When I called to check on the status of the gift card I was told that since I received the prize I would not be receiving it. After reading many reviews i am in total agreement that this is the worst franchise to work with. $#*!s sporting goods has lost a long time customer and Iwill never step foot in there stores again.
Visit your location in Richmond was disappointed with the service when asked if possible to try out a ping iron very little help I can go to local dealers and try this club without the hassle is this your business model and if so it will not last long.
First the good. I was fitted and agreed ( my Choice) to a ping 425 driver with a senior shaft. I hit 42 shots and ducked hooked half. I retuned to the store, and management was not helpful nor interested. Fortunately my fitter (Ed C) was there, took over and replaced the shaft with a new regular. It 100 % solved my problem. I have an issue with the way my fitting fee was returned to me, not as stated on the web site. I will buy my new irons after fitting with ED C, but have no alliance with golf galaxy. Its the people that make the difference
I recently ordered 4 pair of golf shorts through GG website. They arrived and all looked fine. Tried on one pair and seemed to fit ok, so went ahead and laundered the order. All the same brand and size…all 4 fit completely different. It's obvious the sizes were mis-marked. There's been no shrinkage. Now I'm stuck with 3 pairs that don't fit at all. Cost of the shorts was $200 plus. To say I'm irritated is an understatement
I never take the time to write a review but today's experience had to be told. I took my 2 boys into the Portland Oregon store today (something we had planned for quite sometime). It was supposed to be a great day for us. I'm 54 and have always loved to play but never set myself up with good equipment. My boys (young men... 22 and 20) expressed an interest in golf last spring and I thought this would make a fantastic father-son activity. I wanted them to get the best start they could, so it would be enjoyable for them. I also figured "better late than never" for me. We thought Golf Galaxy would be a great place to get good advice as well as create a relationship to get further instructions down the road... When we arrived, there were plenty of people around but none approached us to offer help. Finally I got someone's attention and he offered to assist. He asked which one of us was getting clubs and I responded "all of us... 3 full sets". I figured that would gain some attention but that's not what happened. Instead, we were passed off to 4 different people without ever being told. One would walk away and another just showed up. Each time a new person came over, we had to start all over. Each time they treated us like we were in a club without the proper membership card. I felt very embarrassed and the great trip with my sons was quickly turning into an uncomfortable situation. We had all looked forward to this and were wondering what to do. I finally told them it wasn't worth it and we left. Thankfully we found an extremely helpful young man at the competition and he turned our day around. When it was all said and done, I purchased just under $5000 worth of clubs and felt great about our selection. Hard to believe a store would want to turn down that kind of business. They say good news gets shared with a few but bad news gets shared with many. We have many future purchases and none will be made at Golf Galaxy of Portland. Tell your friends... heck, tell everyone. Sincerely Third Class Citizens Service
So the store I go to has a great manager(Eric). He is very personable. He knew my name the next time I saw him. There are a couple of club repair guys that are accommodating and knowledgeable. But you have to find these guys. Many of the employees act like they know something but they don't. One thing I don't like is the clothes. They seem cheap but cost in the $70-$100. I find better deals at the outlet malls. Many times they will not have the newest thing or they have too many regular flex or too many stiff flex. You can't take anything out to try it for a day which sucks. I hate hitting off mats. An iron fitting is $100. For real? I know my swing better than anyone. I will fit myself thank you. Tip for consumers:Don't know about the site but the Springdale store is nice enough. Products used:I bought my Ping G400max there along with my Taylormade Spyder putter. I wasn't sure about the putter and the manager said if there are no marks on it, I could switch it out for another. I decided to keep it and I am glad. But it was nice for the manager to offer this. I'm look into some Callaway irons now and they let me try out different shafts with the indoor machines. I think I've bought my last 3 drivers there and a couple of putters. On April first (yup im the fool), I was fitted with a new set of irons. I was told it could take 4-12 weeks but they usually get it done sooner (salesmans statement). So I took the gamble, figuring I could look on their web site occasionally to see where in the cue I was and maybe even get regular e mails telling me how my 1,300 dollar order was being processed. No such luck! The store says once the order leaves their store, they cant help me, just wait. Corporate finally searched and told me August 2nd was the date they were shooting for but my order would not show up on their web site anywhere. I dont know how this makes ANY client feel comfortable after spending so much. No place to watch the progress on line, and no notifications along the way leaves the client in total limbo. I will NEVER recommend them to any golfers after this in spite of the spectacular job the fitter did. Corporate policy SUCKS Tip for consumers:Do NOT order from Golf Galaxy , if they cant give it to you in the store, BEWARE Products used:Taylor Made Stealth Irons Service Value Shipping
I was having THE WORST customer service experience and started this review with full intentions on giving a 1-star rating but then I got to deal with one of the Customer Service managers, Bergen, and she COMPLETELY turned the disaster of an experience around. So for that I give 3-stars. However, the CS reps need some serious re-training.
I'd like to make a suggestion that someone other than the older man (Terry) be their front person! He seems to pick and choose those he says "hi" to and welcomes to the store! He looked at us as tho we didn't belong in HIS store :(. I had gone in for some stocking stuffers for my husband but his reception of us KILLED that desire instantly! I would seriously rethink your front person as they are the VIP for a business and Terry does NOT fit the shoes!
I spent a hour looking for a golf bag. Found it on 2 sites plus on golf galaxy. GG had the best price. After entering all the data and credit card info, the order was placed and confirmed. A day later, I got an email that it was out of stock and the order was canceled. What happened in 24 hours? This is the second time this happened. Now, I'm back to square 1. Went there to spend a $500 gift card I received for Christmas at the Mt. Laurel, NJ location. I was hitting some balls in the bay when "Dan" approaches me and rudely tells me that I can only hit 2-3 balls and after that I would have to pay for a fitting. Never asking me what I was looking for. Then he abruptly turns and didn't even give me the time of day. There level of customer service has deteriorated immensely... I will never shop there again. About 1 month ago I purchased a used Ping G410 plus and traded in a Ping G20. I ended up paying somewhere near $200 difference. I could not hit the Ping G410 well on the course so I wanted to trade it for a used Cobra Air X. I was only offered $111.00 for my Ping G410. They are selling them used for in excess of $250.00. I feel I ripped off all around. I will never step foot in a Golf Galaxy or $#*!s Sporting goods again. I know this is a waste of time, but had to get it off my chest. Doubt that the corporate people even look at these. Service Value
I would give zero stars if that was an option. Purchased a gift card and gave it to a family member. When he tried to use the gift card it said it was not activated. I have had 12 conversations with Golf Galaxy customer service trying to resolve the problem. Everyone I spoke with took info, and assured me they would get the card activated and get back to me. No one did anything. Lesson learned, do not do business with Golf Galaxy. Tip for consumers:do not purchase a gift card Products used:gift card Service
Plenty of staff but no one cares if you're there or not. They like to chat with each other. Had $1500 to spend on clubs but the people don't ask what you want or are interested in. Save your time and go anywhere else.
I shopped for a driver at Golf Galaxy. An employee helped me hit several demos on the Trackman and he told me that I hit the XXIO driver so much better than my current driver and all the others. It was 50 yards longer and always in the fairway. I paid $700 plus tax for it and took it to the golf course. Total disaster. The ball was all over the place and never longer than 150 yards. I took it back to the store without a single mark on it and the store would only offer $223 in store credit for it even though it was in new condition. Products used:none Service Value Returns
Golf Galaxy rates a ZERO out of 5 stars in Customer Service. My son spent $1600 on irons and was told that he would have them in 6-8 weeks. It has been over 15 weeks and of course they are blaming Titleist. I understand that they cannot control the production of clubs by the manufacturer, but what they can control is someone updating the customer with status. We have had to call them multiple times and keep getting new "drop dead dates." Clearly the SPRINGDALE, OHIO location does not care ONE OUNCE about retaining customers. I will make sure that no one I know shops here... Tip for consumers:SHOP ELSEWHERE and save yourself aggravation. Products used:Ordered Titleist irons. Was told 6-8 weeks. It has been over 15 with NO SIGN OF THEM. Service Value Shipping
Don't sign up for a platinum fitting. It's $300 and includes a 30-minute lesson, but none of that money goes toward the cost of clubs like a regular fitting. On top of that, local golf courses usually offer packages of 6 30-minute lessons for around $100, so there's not really anything to justify the extra cost. Service Value Quality
Hey Golf Galaxy, way to ruin my Christmas gift surprise. I ordered a pair of golf shoes and all you did was shrink wrap them in clear plastic. That is the only order of many from different companies that did not come in a bag or box. Now my husband knows what he is getting for Christmas.
@golfgalaxy very disappointing customer service for online orders at golf galaxy. #golfgalaxy order is going to take 4 days to arrive so when I call an hour after the order is placed, I am told it cannot be cancelled. Unacceptable service on chat and phone...
They had a sale through midnight. I had it locked in my cart, checking out, and sent it at 1 minute too late. Ok, my fault, I missed the sale. They give no approval for change of price, it charges me $42 more, and then they won't let me cancel it. I will never use this company ever again. The worst customer service I have ever experienced. I hope they go bankrupt.
Ordered online, wanted to return online. Website not set up to accept online/mail-in returns. Started a very long chat, gave order number, UPCs, etc, waited and waited and waited. Was told to bring to a store. Finally got them to agree to send me a return label, but still waiting to receive it via email... Very surprised at the poor customer experience online and with chat.
