    Groupon is a big scam! They really don't know what's going on with the companies that are offering these low deals. When something bad happens and you want a refund, they give it to you in Groupon bucks and take any that you may have used in the purchase. They take forever to offer this and ask a billion questions in 10 separate emails only to still give you the run around or make you use their service. I bet they make thousands if not millions of dollars off of frustrated consumers who just give up and let those b.s. Bucks expire. It's highway robbery! Btw...my issue took a whole month to finally get situated only to give me back less than I paid in Groupon bucks that I'll probably use on something I don't need or just let expire. What a scam!     Like many web based companies, Groupon offers NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. Unless "there's a button for that" or AI can handle your inquiry, they are useless. I spent hours going in circles to resolve what should have been a simple issue - - - to date I have received multiple emails advising me how customer focused they are and how they want to help but not a single step towards resolving my issue.     It's easy to sign in to Groupon. It would show me groupons in my area; said it couldn't find my location. I know there are nearish places that use Groupon. The reviews are useless because you can't find a review of a particular offer if a business offers more than one Groupon. I noticed they now offer courses (which they showed me when I filtered to "Things to Do" which are activities, not courses). When I checked a few out there were a lot of complaints about codes not working that weren't expired. And, more importantly, when I looked at reviews, it didn't show reviews of that particular offer, but of every course the business offers. That's bad user experience. I'm afraid to give them my money now. Tip for consumers:I would check all the reviews carefully before I spent any money on Groupon. Contact the business before purchasing, if possible, to see if they have responsive customer service. If not, pass on it. Products used:I didn't buy anything today because of all the bad reviews.     Theatre voucher failed to appear. After about two hours of online chat we were told the problem would be investigated which would likely take 48-72 hours. The show started in 2 hours. Attached picture shows order still processing an hour after the show began. Utterly incompetent and useless.     I wish I could do a 0 cause this transaction isn't even worth a 1...I purchased Mcafee as I have so many times before with no problems as well as other items but for some reason it gives me a redemption code that can only be used in the UK and Ireland, yet I live in USA. I purchased on the 11/12/2024 and I have tried since November 13th, 2024, to get help but nothing. Use caution if ordering anything from them I guess customers aren't important once they get your money. I will no longer order $#*! from them!     I purchased 3 Luzia Cirque Du Soleil tickets for Saturday March 15th, 2025 instead of Saturday March 22,2025 by accident. I did it late at night and when tired and simply clicked on the wrong Saturday. I realized my mistake immediately after purchase, I mean within minutes after opening the voucher and right away went to cancel the order and was unable to do so. Groupon is supposed to have a 3 day return policy. My chat experience and then emails from supervisors have been robot like in their answers to the point that I wonder if AI is responding to me instead of a human being. You can not reach anyone in person when you call their Customer support number which has a recorded message that all support is done online. This experience has been a nightmare and hours of my time have been wasted trying to get someone to give me exchange bucks for my order so that I can purchase tickets for the right date. I don't want a refund just an exchange. Everyone makes a mistake sometimes and what happened to their 3 days return policy? This has caused me so much stress. Their customer support deserves 0/5.     I lost seven thousand dollars on a vacation from groupon to Africa because of covid even though I had gotten a full examination from my doctor saying I was healthy they would not let me on the airplane. The Dubai airline said they gave the money back to Groupon and Groupon said they never got the money.     I booked a one-night stay at the Holiday Inn in Richmond, BC through Groupon on December 20,2023, planning to check in on December 21. I had an email confirmation explicitly showing December 21 as the date. However, my reservation never appeared in my Groupon account until I reached out to their chat support—then it suddenly popped up as "expired." To make matters worse, Groupon insisted I had booked for December 20, which contradicts the very email they sent me! Over the course of five excruciating hours, I spoke with multiple Groupon representatives who each promised to contact the hotel and fix their mistake. When my pregnant wife and I arrived at the Holiday Inn, the staff had no idea we were coming and confirmed no one from Groupon had reached out. We had to scramble for last-minute lodging at an extra $150, on top of the $70 (credit card) and $75 (Groupon gift card) I had already spent. While I managed to initiate a chargeback for the $70, Groupon has flat-out refused to return my $75 in Groupon Bucks. This was supposed to be a special Christmas getaway—one of our last chances to relax before the baby arrives—but it turned into a complete nightmare of lost money and endless stress. Worst of all, Groupon doesn't provide any phone support, and their chat representatives eventually stopped responding, leaving us with no resolution. I'm sharing my story so other consumers know what they might be getting into. If you value peace of mind, stay far away from Groupon. Their lack of accountability and willingness to dismiss loyal customers is absolutely shocking. This experience has put me off Groupon for good. Products used:None.     Groupon/Midas offered an auto transmission fluid change for ($99.99). I called Midas spoke to (Mitch) to confirm the price. He stated the real price is $389.00 less Groupon discount of $149.00.leaving a balance of $240.00+ tax& fees. The extra expenses have been ridiculous… extra $100 each to fly out from Brisbane… extra costs to sit together on flight… car hire for 3 days cause a very basic motel is not near city, beach, etc…. We were not honoured any of our three Friday and Saturday night options… had to fly out on a Thursday… taking away our income (haven't even gone and down $1060)… gosh I hope our bottom of the peeking order destination is worth it!     On 10/14 I purchased 2 tickets from Groupon for the spartan race in Central Florida for 12/7/24. After purchasing the tickets the online registration was not working, I tried calling and they do not have a working number so I emailed them. After 24 hours of silence I messaged them on Facebook and managed to get a response and after 2 hours of messaging they could not figure out the issue and promised to email me with a resolution. That resolution never came so day 3 now I am messaging them again and they are going in circles with the same trouble shooting from the day before. Eventually I give up because they stop responding and try to return the tickets on Groupon which promised a 3 day refund guarantee. Groupon which also doesn't have a working day phone number says they have to reach out to Spartan race because these tickets are now not refundable per their policy even though they advertise there is and they reply an hour later that Spartan race verified their registration IS WORKING, I try again and it is of course not working. I had no choice but to dispute the charge with my credit card company. I will be filing a claim with the court if need be.     I have been trying to rectify a refund due me since July. This is going nowhere and I am unsatisfied. Who can help me? I bought three nightgowns and they sent the wrong size on one of them. I returned it promptly, paid postage both ways and I have NO REFUND yet. I purchased on a Gift "pre-paid" debit card which I no longer have because I used up the balance. I have had multiple communications with everyone and NO RESOLUTION yet. The refund due is around $24. I would even take Groupon Bucks but they do not assess the problem and fix it.     Buyer beware! They canceled my purchase without reaching out to me. When I asked why they did that I was told that the tickets I purchased were sold out. If they were sold out why did you sell them to me? I contacted the venue and they were in fact not sold out. These tickets were for an event for my son's 13th birthday and due to the fact that I'm having to wait 7 days for the refund to occur I am unable to repurchase the tickets. Had they reached out to me and offered to refund with Groupon bucks which are available immediately I would have been able to salvage my sons birthday party.     Groupon is HORRIBLE. I had this terrifying experience with this so called "doctor" that was suppose to give me one full syringe of Juvederm into my lips. His name is Dr. Kuhlman of 'Inspiring Medical Aesthetics'. He is extremely creepy. I know, for a fact, that he did not use the full syringe. There is absolutely no change in my lips, whatsoever, except one side is bigger than the other. So, this "doctor" botched the entire treatment. On top of this, I tried telling Groupon about my experience and they did not care at all! They gave me $89 in "Groupon Bucks" which I will never use because I never intend on buying any thing on there, ever again! I asked to speak with a supervisor. They told me to wait for an email within 24 hours. I want a full refund for this botched treatment! This is not okay for some one to do this to your face! The little that this doctor did was make one side of my lips bigger than the other. Groupon did not care, would not give me a refund and this email they are sending better or I am never using them again. So, after this "doctor" was done injecting my lips (I've had this done before and it's extremely expensive. I know what it should feel like), I was confused because I felt absolutely nothing. Then, he says we are done. And, there is seriously no improvement in my lips at all! Then, he tries to bait me into buying this app to get me to have points for the treatment where he will obviously get points! And, I did it, thinking it would benefit me, but it just wasted more of my money! I relayed all of this to Groupon and they did not care AT ALL, would not refund me OVER MY DEAD BODY! So, until they do? I AM GOING TO TELL MY STORY ALL OVER THE INTERNET! Tip for consumers:Groupon is SO UNHELPFUL AND THEIR AGENTS DO NOT EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH!     Brought a Groupon for an oil change at a national company that hit redeemed, but I never actually got to use the Groupon, contacted customer service at Groupon and they never fixed it. Groupon is a waste of money sketchy and fraudulent.     While on vacation I purchased a Groupon for an event, but the first time I tried I got a message saying my purchase could not be completed. I figured I entered my credit card incorrectly or something, so started all over again. The second transaction went through fine, but then moments later so did the first one. So now I was charged twice ($182 each). I contacted customer service online immediately and spent a good part of the rest of that day dealing with robotic responses about their "policy" that all sales are final. There was no consideration given to the fact that this was not something I purchased and now wanted a refund for- it was a simple matter of the charge going through twice, moments apart. The event that the Groupon was for had not even happened yet, there was no reason for them not to simply reverse one of the charges. I tried going through my bank, who did investigate, but ultimately could not get the refund from Groupon either because they were told that I had made two purchases, so the bank could not refund me. My bank did tell me that the error message on my first try purchasing would be an error on Groupon's end so to try going directly to them for the refund, which of course I had already done. The can't have a system that sends error/transaction can't be completed messages and then have the transaction go through, when in the meantime I've already made the purchase over again. Groupon did end up giving me groupon bucks credit, but since I don't trust their site and they don't usually offer things that interest me, I don't want a Groupon credit, I just want the money back for the second charge.     I'd give 0 to Groupon. I bought universal tickets in LA and spent $470 but the entrance I found out I had to buy some 3 day pass which would come to some $800+. Anyway I wanted to get the money refunded and if not refunded they could have given it as a credit for future use. When I called Groupon about either refunding or giving credits they just deleted my Groupon account with out my permission! Who does this?     I purchased an air duct cleaning from Elliott's Air Care. According to the site, they service are within 110 miles Newark, DE. I'm located less than 90 miles from there. When I called to make an appointment, I was told that my area is not serviced. It's virtually impossible to get a refund on your credit card. Now I'm stuck with useless Groupon bucks.     I have had bad luck with clothing and services. The dress I received had a hole in it, and the shirt I got was literally sewn together wrong. How does that get through quality check? As far as the services, oftentimes it is impossible to reach anyone to make an appointment. Other times you get an attitude, like, oh, you are cheap because you are using Groupon. My pedicure lady showed up 25 minutes late. Now, I can't even write a review. I have reached out to customer service to find out why, but no response. Ugh! I'm done.     For exactly 120 for a couples massage was not reflected on my account. I contacted groupon and gave them the order number in question as well as screenshots of my confirmation email. Instead of inquiring on the issue they refunded a second groupon voucher I bought for a movie ticket in the amount of 26.45 when I paid 29.45 and skipped out on paying my 3 additional dollars. When I contacted them a third time, my email was blocked. I would have been fine calling and explain this issue but there is no customer service number. Beware of the bs. Groupon is sketchy.
