    2 changes on this coat would make it 5 stars: a workable zipper, and snaps instead of Velcro. The blue "Weather Channel" parka would be good as it keeps you warm, has enough pockets, and a fold-up hood. Too bad the 2-way zipper takes forever to zip up, then hangs up half the time. The Velcro will not close the parka unless the zipper is used initially. It's too bad. I really wanted it to work out.     I ordered 3 items from Lands End. It took almost 2 weeks for it to ship. I received it but only had 2 of the 3 items in the box delivered. I called to inquire and found that one of the items was no longer available. Not only did they not notify me of that product unavailability but they also went ahead and charged for the item It is still pending on my credit card account.     Ordered 2 items same as those I've purchased before. Quality is still good but sizing much smaller than previous purchases, they're obviously saving money in manufacturing costs. No packing slip enclosed with my order. To make a return a customer has to "do it yourself" online to print return label and product information to insert in the package.     If you order something from Lands' End, I highly recommend you do so 2 weeks or more before you need it. The shipping is the slowest of any other vendor I order from. Invariably their shipper is always late. I ordered something 14 days ago and called customer service; they don't know when it may arrive, and DHL has no details on why it is delayed or if it will ever arrive. They offered me a refund, but my item is now out of stock. No solution. Someone in leadership should really empower customer service to provide real solutions for the people calling them.     Customer service reps are great and try their best to be helpful. However, their inventory system is a disaster. Had to order a sweater three times because I kept getting notices that it was not in stock. When I called, they acknowledged a problem with their inventory control and the incorrect emails that I have been receiving. Got the first order, assumed the problem had been corrected and ordered an additional item. Now I have the same problem as I got an email saying it was not in stock. Called again and it is in stock.     I have shopped at Landsend for decades. The quality, variety, and service used to be reliably high. You knew what you were getting and could count on it. I ordered a few items recently and all I can say is, what happened to this once stellar company? First, I almost didn't purchase anything because the availability of styles and colors was so limited. Then, I received NO notifications about any of my items shipping. I had to send an inquiry to customer service a few weeks after no packages or anything, just to get an update. Isn't that e-commerce 101? And now it's been weeks and weeks and still no confirmation of my return, let alone when I'll see my money. Landsend is a dying company.     Two weeks ago, I ordered a couple of bedding items from Land's End, which I hoped to use at Thanksgiving. Two weeks later...no bedding, and no customer support. I have called, chatted and texted with Land's End, and no one knows where my parcel is, although my credit card has been billed for the full amount. I will never shop with Land's End again.     Oof, paid $17.95 for express shipping. My item is expected to arrive in 8 days. Chatted with a customer service rep who said since I ordered on a Friday, they would give me a courtesy refund of the shipping cost. Okay.sorry to order on a Friday. He also didn't introduce himself or anything during the chat and was slow and unfriendly. Not great experiences at all.*editing to add my item is now expected another day later!     I place an order on Wednesday at noon west coast time / 3pm easy coast. One would think it would ship the same day. 4 days on and it is still "processing" - what the hell? 4 days to put a couple shirts in a box?     Ordered 4 tops in the usual size I get from LandsEnd. 2 blouses of same style, but different colors, fit VERY differently. The other 2 were tank tops in a medium, which I've always worn from Lands End. They were huge! They have no exchange policy but agreed to accept a return but only for merchandise credit. Despite them acknowledging the returns have been made, I'm still waiting on the merchandise credit. NEVER AGAIN! Who bought Lands End & is running it into the ground?     I ordered a coat on Saturday night. On Sunday morning, I saw the coat was significantly discounted. I called and spoke to someone who said I should have received the discount, since my order fell within the promotion window; she took notes and advised me to call back during the week. When I called back I was put through to Chris in customer service who said there was no record of my call and no notes. I asserted that I had called and tried to quote prices, but she constantly interrupted me. I asked her if she could email me information she had provided; I thought this would be useful as there didn't seem to be any record of my previous call. She told me this wasn't possible. She suggested I email the company. I did and included screen shots I took of the new price on the site as proof of my claim. (I just had a feeling I'd need those pics.)     Horrible customer service! Supervisor wouldn't even pick up the phone she rudely put me on speaker. I bought something on Wednesday late night and Friday there was a sale. I hadn't even received my shipment yet and there was a 50% off sale. I asked to have a price adjustment and was told too bad it's a weekend sale. Nothing else was offered to accommodate a $50 overcharge. What ever happened to this company with their customer last policy. Never dealing with this company again.     I have shopped Le simce they go itst started selling canvas boat bags. Unfortunately since the Sears take-over snd Amazon sell off their on-line software, product quality and site friendliness have suffered.     Just want to let people know that the photos online and in the catalog can be very different from the actual product. You are far better off going into a Lands End store if you want their products. The $49 necklaces are, quite frankly, junk---metal with cheap beads and nowhere near worth their prices. I made a return of several items for credit on my original form of purchase. I was charged to return the items that way. Also and exchange of items for size was charged tax again resulting in $13 of wasted money just from buying online. The return process iis now more complicated.     Ordered four shirts with my company's logo on November 07,2021 for extensive company travel starting January 10. I'm sure it's a fine product, but I won't find out until I don't need them, because Land's End took so long to deliver. I received a confirmation email the same day stating that one of the four shirts was back-ordered past that date. No big deal, I can get by with three shirts. Lands' End charged my credit card on December 22. I received an email on January 1 that my order was "on the way" and checked their website which said the order was shipped on 12/30. The problem was that the UPS tracking number didn't do anything until January 5 when I learned the shirts were not going to arrive until January 10. $190 worth of shirts I won't need.     Everything is overpriced and they are the most inefficient online seller I have ever come across. Anything I have tried to order always takes about 2+ months. The disclaimer about embroidery requiring 18 extra days is absurd. A company this size and the prices being what they are and it takes three weeks to embroider the school emblem? We need more options when it comes to school uniforms. I'm fairly certain this is the only way they are still in business.     I've bought four pairs of tall pants, two of which were a good length, the other two were way too short. I'm pretty sure they could do a better job of quality control. I used to swear by Lands' End, but now I'm not so sure. If you're feeling lucky, I'd say try them out. On the other hand, I bought a very good-quality winter coat from them in December. No problems there. It has convenient pockets, a hood, and is very good against the wind. Tip for consumers:I would like to know why it's so hard to label pants correctly.     Lands' End tall clothing is almost exclusively knitted fabric. I heard this is because knits are easier and cheaper to manufacture than woven fabric. But it often results in an ugly product. So many of the Lands' End tall women's clothes would be great if they'd just make them in better fabrics. And if they'd actually add length to the torso the way they say they do.     Do not waste your time or money. How do you advertise being great at customer service just to be the opposite? Seems like this call center is full of bitter, old, mean hogs that have no real remorse for customers and no real ability to provide good customer service. They will get your order wrong and then act dry and nonchalant when you call in for resolution.     Ordered a number of things - hats, gloves, scarfs on 12/1/2021. Received each item one at a time over a period of three weeks - poor management. Received messages a week before Christmas that the 2 waterproof gloves I ordered wouldn't be shipped until 12/28/2021 even though they were available when I ordered them. I still don't have them. Received another message that they are back ordered until 1/15/2022. Will not be ordering from this company again. It is a shame because items are very good quality.     Lands' End has excellent quality merchandise. I love their business line, as they can put any business logo that you send them electronically on most of their merchandise.     You'll note that the majority of complaining here is actually about customer service on online orders, not about the clothing itself, and a lot of it is pretty petulant whining. I've purchased numerous casual clothing both in-store and online when on sale, and have found the clothing to be good quality, well-fitting, as-described, and very good value. I encountered some minor hiccups when ordering backlogged items during the holidays, which is 100% expected and not in any way a deal-breaker. I would not pay full price for anything and purchase my tailoring and business clothing elsewhere, but when certain casual items come on sale, I move on them and have never been disappointed.     Lands' End makes really cute swimsuits. The best part is, you can mix and match them. They are good quality and durable. They cost a little more but last a long time so, very much worth the price. This swimskirt has a good liner. It's really comfortable and it goes with a lot of different kinds of swim tops.
