    The KNOCK KNOCK puzzle was an even harder challenge because they have no map to follow. They have blocks over the whole bottom row of doors, and the 2 top left hand corner dooes are covered. The box cover would be fine IF there was a map inside to follow. There is a very small full picture, but when trying to find the little details of all the door boarders and doorsteps is almost impossible. I don't think I would ever buy another Melissa and Doug puzzle
    Bought the Deluxe Grill early Nov 2023 for a Christmas gift. Wasn't opened until Christmas to find that it the wood in a corner is cracked… to my surprise it doesn't seem is from shipping because the box was in perfect condition. I sent an email and waiting on a reply, but review their refund policy is disappointing that if get to return it, I need to pay for shipping + will not get refunded any shipping charges from the original order. This is insane, coming from a company that most definitely gets discounted shipping rates. Won't buy from their website ever again that's for sure.     Bought my kids a stamp kit online and the stamp pad was dried out. I tried to get them to send me a new pad. They wanted me to send them a video of the kids using a dried-out stamp pad. It's probably not even worth 50 cents! This is a million dollar company who is not willing to stand behind the very products that made them rich. Service Value Quality

    I ordered a Melissa and Doug stuffed husky animal plush and was happy with my order but after a few weeks... Everything sorta changed it started to rip and started not to be stable and it was just very disappointing for me I just didn't like the quality of the dog.
    I Bought a toy for my kid from chapters indigo.ca for over $55 as I saw it at one of my friend's house and after receiving it I contacted Melissa and Doug customer service as It was too small in size actually half the size that I saw then after lots of emails going and coming they told me that this is their size and it's only one size... As if what I saw was not melissa and doug! I'm very very upset as it's my first time buying this brand and will be my last, never will buy this brand again.
    My wife ordered four items. Two arrived, and two did not ship. When she contacted them, "it's on its way." Suddenly back-ordered, and the company offered to refund. Well, it's been over a week now, and no credit appears. They insist she was never charged. Not so, as she saw online it was charged and not refunded. Such a hassle.     If you don't think you'll ever need to return an item - then Melissa and Doug is great! However, I purchased two toys for my son's first birthday and he ended up receiving the exact same toys from a family member. When I called to return (yes, called...they don't make it easy. You need a authorization number), I was informed I had to pay the fees to ship back... well since they are wooden toys and quite large, the cost to ship back was about a 1/3 of the total amount for the toys, but I thought a small refund was better than nothing. I shipped the products back well over a month ago and never received an email saying "we've received your return, expect your refund in X number of days." So I waited. Two weeks after it arrived at their returns department, I reached out to their customer service via their Care@ email and provided my return authorization number. A couple days later I received a response that said, we are looking into it but nothing helpful. They had asked for my tracking number which I provided them the same day. Crickets since then. That was almost three weeks ago (from their email, not from when I shipped it back).I just sent another email hoping to hear back but I won't hold my breath. At this rate, I should have kept the extra toys and donated them. Service Returns

    Purchased two dolls for my grandchildren for Christmas in early November. Received the products on November 15 and they were not to my liking so I returned them the exact same day. It is now December 21,2022 and still NO REFUND! I have called a handful of times to be told I have to wait 30 days to receive my credit. Well it has been more than 30 days and still no credit as of this morning, December 21st when I contacted our bank.     I bought a set of paint cups with covers to use in the easel I bring outside for my grandkids in the summer. I thought the cups were a great way to save unused paint. Unfortunately, 3 of the 4 tops were defective. There are wrinkles in the plastic on the inside seal of the covers, making it impossible to seal the cups to prevent the left over paint from drying out. I wrote to them and even sent pictures of the defective covers. They took literally MONTHS to answer my email asking for replacement covers. Even though I had explained the problem thoroughly in my first email, they asked me to explain more about the situation (that's when I sent pictures, and repeated all that I had already told them in my first email). They responded by saying the cups are outside of their warranty period and they refused to send me replacements. Total waste of my money! I will not purchase any more of their products. What would it cost them to send 3 plastic covers to replace the defective ones I was sold? Next to nothing! Instead they lose a good customer (I have in the past purchased quite a few of their products). Says a lot about the priorities of this company! Tip for consumers:It's a lousy company!!     Melissa and Doug disappointed me due to their lack of courtesy and communication skills. I paid $36 for an item through M and D's website and an additional $9.99 in shipping. I saw this item at Target for $16, over twice the amount I had paid on their website. I contacted M and D and told them I wanted to ship the item back because of the enormous price difference. They did not offer to match the price and said to send it back. Instead of sending me a return label, the CSR wanted me to take the return address down over the phone. I asked her to please email the address to me. I received the address in a three-sentence email with no shipping label. I returned the package and was charged $12 to ship the item. I emailed the CSR about my shipping cost and that I should get reimbursed for it. No response. I emailed a few times about the refund because of the time it took to reimburse me. TWO months later, I was compensated $36. I received nothing back on the $22 shipping costs that I incurred. Melissa and Doug is a very profitable company. M and D is the number one toy company in this country. Why wouldn't they pay for shipping, and why is their system so old that they can't keep track of orders and not reimburse people in an orderly fashion? It is one thing to have a good product but another to treat customers poorly. Tip for consumers:I would not buy directly from Melissa and Doug's Website. It was a costly mistake for me.     I did an order from Melissa and Doug. When I printed my receipt, I noticed one of the toys was missing. I immediately called them and THEY REFUSED TO CANCEL MY ORDER, OR ADD A TOY TO MY ORDER! It had only been 1 minute and they refused to do anything about it! The "supervisor" was unavalable and promised to call me back. It has been almost an hour and no call yet. Iguess I will have to resort to calling my credit card and denying the charge. I cannot believe they would not cancel my order!     Update. Melissa and Doug reached out. They located the item I ordered and rush shipped it to me in time for Christmas! Annie contacted me a few days after this review was written. She was incredibly nice and enjoyable to talk to. Most importantly, she made the situation right. The grill is now put together and my little dude LOVES it! On December 1,2023, I placed an order on your website for pizza and grill play set for my 5 year old for Christmas. At the time of order, the item was in stock. I placed my order, received a confirmation email and order number, and the funds were taken from my bank account. The email also stated that the order would be shipped in 3-5 business days. On Dec 7, I still had not received any other correspondence, so I emailed the customer care email provided on the website and my order confirmation email. No, Dec 11, I still had not heard anything in regard to my order, so I searched and called the customer service number I could found on the website. I spoke with a gentleman who said he would have to look into it and someone would be in touch with me. Less than 5 minutes later, I received an email from Patricia that was the worst form of customer service I have ever witnessed. 1 line stating, "unfortunately the item you ordered is on back order until early January 2024. Regards, Patricia". The lack of customer service is quite honestly offensive. Could you care about your customers any less? Moving forward, I immediately called the customer care line again and spoke with a lady who was pleasant and told me she would get a supervisor for me when I explained the situation. Dillon (no last name or associate ID number) who stated he was the only Dillon informed me that sometimes the system lags and items are ordered that can't be filled and the only thing he could offer me is an apology and a refund. When I asked to speak to his supervisor, he stated that he had no supervisor and there was no one above him. This entire situation is completely unacceptable. It has been 10 days and I still hadn't been notified anything was even wrong with the order. Let alone that I'm now not able to receive it at all! Christmas is in 2 weeks and I have a 5 year old who literally only asked for this play set. I ordered on time when your website showed that it was in stock! You charged me, sent me a confirmation email, and gave me an order number with a 3-5 day shipping confirmation! To say I am mad would be an understatement. And then to be told there is nothing you can do when it is YOUR company's fault!     Most of the issues others seem to have is with either user error or simple mistakes. But... I have an entire playroom full of melissa and doug. From the play rugs to toys, to large stuffed animals. I can tell you that this room is beautiful and every toy is so detailed and there's not one thing they haven't thought of in their creating of toys. I have only had one toy break and it was a part of their portable train set. My toddler broke a thin wood piece in half. But he's a crazy toddler.     I have purchased probably a dozen of their plush stuffed animals and the quality of each is outstanding. There has never been a problem with any if them I have never tried their games or puzzles but if the quality is even close to the stuffed animals, they will be well worth the price.
    Great experience shopping online! I called for some additional information. The phone was answered right away and a very friendly person answered all my questions. Ordering online was very easy and I received the order very quickly. I will definitely order more toys for my little boy.
    I love ordering toys from Melissa and Doug. They are so original, and my grandkids LOVE them. They are so interactive, and their service is GREAT!
    Most of their toys are wooden. Puzzles, puppets and dolls, arts and craft supplies, building blocks. I often buy their products for our child and for her friends on different occasions.
