My shipment must arrive in December 16 this day no text notice that he is coming only I was called by delivery person I ask him to wait me 5 minutes he refused and scheduled it for December 17
I call customer service to pick up my staff they can't locate it
Today I sat down to wait my shipment starting 8 AM no show or call
I am a prisoner, and I can't do nothing to wait my delivery now it is almost 3 PM no word what is going on
I contact customer service they say they don't have information
This kind of practice is not acceptable

Date of experience: December 17, 2024Ordered a Laptop online at Staples in Campbell River as they had 2 in stock and said it would be available for pickup in 2 hours. You are given a choice of delivery or pickup at store. I chose pickup at store. Called store and they say no, it would be delivered to the store next week, I said I did not want it then. I have cancer and am going into the hospital soon. I needed it today. They show 2 in stock. They said no I would have to wait till it is delivered. What poor service. I cannot even get a refund till it is delivered to the store so no money for a laptop till then. Really sucks!

Rude about it, I am amazed how bad his attitude is, why issue coupons if customer are told they can not use them. I will go to Walmart.

Date of experience: October 20, 2024Staples knows how to turn a good day into bad. I ordered (#*******157) a Brother printer for my homework. They sent it a few days later, but shipped it back because my address was wrong. No it wasn't. It was awful trying to fix this because at every click of the mouse, the company pumps ads from every direction. I finally got an email saying it would be redelivered and was notified it was on my porch. No, it wasn't. It was returned. Back in the barrel, same frustration. The email said it will arrive today. Nope. I'm stuck. I contacted them by email, phone, and chat. The BROTHER HL L2400D is $10 cheaper at Walmart. I ordered two printers from Staples, my first and my last. My name is Lou and I stand by all of my reviews.
Tip for consumers:It feels like their shipping is in complete disarray.

Customer service was unable to provide any solutions, leaving me to deal with the mess on my own. If you're looking for a hassle-free shopping experience, look elsewhere.
Date of experience: April 26, 2024I usually go to staples in Mount Vernon NY and the store usually is empty except for the Marketing printer department which the line is very long and you have to be prepared to wait at least 2 hours in order to be helped. This department needs more people working it's really not acceptable the waiting time we spend on the line just to request something simple. I hope this message can be noticed and heard. Thank you

Date of experience: October 28, 2023Although I shop at Staples for supplies, my last visit was solely to solve a problem that I was having with my Samsung tablet. This very knowledgeable associate spent about 15 minutes figuring out what was wrong and advising me what to do with it. He did not ask to be compensated for his time and he did not suggest any product to purchase. I have found Staples staff to be very willing to help and not impose anything on me, which is why I feel very comfortable going there with questions or to get supplies.

Date of experience: February 1, 2024I run a business and ordered ink from Staples on a Monday. They claim free next-day delivery, that is a lie. I checked my order's status on Tuesday, and the item didn't ship. I contacted customer service and she said it would arrive on Wednesday mysteriously not long after the call I got a shipping notice. The next day I got an email stating the delivery driver left my order at the warehouse and now it will be arriving on Thursday. I contacted customer service and after a 30-minute back and forth she offered me a 20% discount. Save yourself the time and stick to Amazon.

Date of experience: November 29, 2023I placed an on-line order of 2 cartons of 10 foam boards measuring 30x40. These can only be purchased on line because of their size. They can only be ordered by the carton so they can be shipped safely and not damaged. Well, I received two boards! Just two. Someone actually opened a carton, took two boards out and wrapped the bottom and top with plastic and sent them to me. Of course they were damaged. I laughed this off with Kristine, the very nice Staples service rep. She reordered my boards. Staples actually sent out a huge truck to pick up the two damaged boards but didn't have my replacement order on that truck. ( What a waste of time). Just got off the line and now they say my replacement has been lost and I cannot reorder as they are sold out. Pretty ridiculous to me! Now I have to wait for my $116. Refund! Staples- get your act together! I will shop elsewhere now as I still need those foam boards.

Date of experience: October 20, 2023I work from home. Because I am on oxygen - I do not drive. I have 61 empty ink cartridges to return to Staples. THEY will not allow me to return them and get credit with my rewards so I can purchase other items. They said I can only return 10 at a time and I need to purchase $50.00 in ink to even get the rewards for returning the ink. THEY are not helpful at all and will not make any exceptions.
Tip for consumers:They are horrible and will not work with you when you have health issues.

Date of experience: January 22, 2024I think a picture is worth a 1,000 words. I ordered this plastic organizer cart from Staples... price is $51.99 so not exactly dirt cheap. I found it sitting in the middle of the sidewalk in front of my house at around 4:00 this afternoon and this is how it looked... no wrapping whatsoever, and banged up from having slammed into everything in whatever truck it came in. It was also filthy dirty. By the way, no one rang the doorbell when they delivered it... maybe they were afraid I was going to refuse it. Shame on you Staples!

If you're particular about what you write with, start on a new page when you make a mistake you can't erase, or just like good pens, this one's for your! I used to think I'd have to spend more money for a better pen and writing experience, but I found Pilot G-2 pens and never looked back. This review is specifically about the. 05 extra fine Pilot G-2 pens in blue and black ink. Smooth writing EVERY time which makes for continuous strokes, faster writing and more beautiful pages.

Next email said order delivered and I could return it, but order was not delivered and they ripped me off. Will NEVER deal with Staples again. This has not been resolved and they stole $21 from me for something I never received.
Date of experience: September 6, 2020The people at Staples do not have your back. I used to go there regularly and I spent a lot of money there. One day about a year ago my scanner broke and I had a rather large document to email out ASAP for an urgent high-monied business deal. I came to get a document scanned and they told me that they were going to charge me two dollars a page. I even talked to a woman who was an assistant manager; she was completely intransigent and would not even offer some kind of discount. I felt completely devalued as a good customer. I have not been back since and I will not return ever again. I have given my business to people who care about me as a human being and the store apparently did not care about me whatsoever. Moreover, two of the most unethical and self-serving people I have ever met in all of my life are now working in their leadership. If I were you, I would never give these people your business.

Never had an issue with ordering. I've found their prices to be competitive, and good products. Maybe not always lowest price but close. Put it all together, Staples.com has become my Go To option.
Date of experience: September 19, 2016Staple's has been running some pretty attractive sales lately with many apparently decent prices. Kudos for that. But please pay close attention when receiving VISA card rebates. If not utilized and cashed immediately, they are quickly diminished in value by having fees applied to their value. They eventually become virtually worthless if not used. Just don't delay in spending your rebate or suffer my fate and lose hundreds.

They seldom have a variety of product, often have none of a particular kind, and staffers/employees to get help from is nearly impossible.
