Very bad! Went to pick up my car I had booked in my work portal. First car dirty inside and out. Second car filthy look like somebody went road playing on red dirt. The third car was clean inside and out. They charged me an extra $84.00 in the end for the nicer car. I will never use Avis again.
IM******* - your customer service has always been very responsive telling me they would investigate my case to understand the different amount charged by the rental company versus the originally booking made; unfortunately after 2 months your team remains radio silent on any outcome or conclusion, claiming you are unable to reach out to such company
I live in the US and travelled to Mexico recently 2/022, to attend a wedding. I reserved 2 cars on the AirportRentalCars website from Fox car rentals, for several days. I noticed that insurance for $13/day for each car could be purchased but must be purchased at least 2 hrs before pick up. I know that US auto insurance companies do not cover cars rented in Mexico, and suspected that if I didn't purchase the insurance of $13/day per car online, that the insurance at the counter would be a lot higher than $13/day. So I purchased the insurance which was charged, along with the car rental charges, on my credit card. When my group and I arrived at the Leon airport, we were driven to the Fox car rental office by shuttle close to the Leon airport. I saw a customer arguing with the woman there about being charged over $500 for car insurance. It was all in Spanish so I didn't grasp the real problem. I assumed that this man had not purchased insurance online prior to arrival as I did. However, it was my turn next, and I Was told by the woman that Fox doesn't accept the insurance I had purchased online on the AirportRentalCars website, and that I would have to pay $550 as insurance coverage for each car. I was pissed by this dishonesty even though I showed her screen shots of the insurance. I was very disgusted and told them to take me and my group back to the airport. There we checked on 3 reputable companies (Hertz, Budget and Avis) and chose Hertz which gave us the best deal, including full coverage. It cost us about 25% (yes, 25%) for the car rentals than it would have cost, had I fallen prey to the crooked Fox car rental. What they do is to put their cars as costing about 50% less for daily rates, but appears that they then jack up insurance even if you have purchased it in advance. I have heard of Fox car rentals before, and I think I had forgotten that they have a poor reputation so will never use them again. I do have a problem with AirportRentalCars having Fox on their website and find it hard to believe that they don't know that Fox car rentals is crooked. Ace car rentals is the other cheap car rental place on the website and wonder if they play the same game as Fox. Interestingly, AirportRentalCars website is powered by Priceline.com. Interestingly, there was charge of $65 ($13/day x5) for only one car on my credit card, and I will be contesting that charge since I never rented the car. Disgusting experience. Tip for consumers:Avoid using AirportRentalCars website. Products used:Didn't use their service. Used a different company. Still pursuing a refund of prepaid car insurance charged on my credit card though never used their car rental service. Service Value Quality
Says cheap rentals starting g at 11$ a day just to look at their cars which all start at 100+ a day. Like wtf? All these sites are damn well straight up lieing about their prices, like c'mon man. Do any of these so called car rental business actually honor what their website says? More like rental car scam! Smh, straight bull Tip for consumers:USE A DIFFERENT CAR RENTAL BUSINESS. HOMELESS PEOPLE ARE MORE TRUSTWORTHY THAN THESE BUMS Products used:Nothing because their liers Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
I booked a rental car through AirportRentalCars.com and the rental company is/was Hertz, the reservation is/was for the first week of July, however, I had to cancel my trip for reasons already explained to the rental company Hertz. I have called Hertz to the phone number provided to me on the reservation email, many times already and they have been giving me the runaround, by telling me that they have "successfully" canceled the reservation and they lie to me, because the next day I check the reservation and it is still active. I call them again and go through the same process and again they tell me the same, I asked them for a confirmation number and an email, they tell that the confirmation number is the same confirmation number, but 2 days later, still no email. This has been going on for more than a week now, and I seriously think that this site AirportRentalCars.com and the rental companies that they supposedly have, are a bunch of SCAMMERS, and yes I said the same thing to them last time that I called, and I will be talking to a LAWYER, if they don't resolve my problem PRONTO. Service
DO NOT Use AIRPORT RENTALS or JUCY Car Rentals – POOR Customer Service / Actually NO Customer Service. The total experience with Airport Rentals & JUCY has been extremely concerning & disappointing. I was scheduled to arrive in Cairns at 1.55pm, however, my flight was delayed as many flights were week commencing 4th April & we arrived at 3.55pm same day. Once we landed I was shocked to find out that airport rentals was not based at the airport & I needed to call airport rentals to arrange a pick up & was on hold for 35 minutes - Once the operator answered she put myself through to customer service & the call went straight to message back. - I called back and was on hold another 15 minutes, when she answered she advised that the site had closed at 4pm & no one could help. - I was advised that the car would be held over to the next day, I said this was not helpful as I would be 1 ½ hours away at our accommodation & the purpose of the car was to get to our stay & back - I said I didn't need the car anymore & they could re let the car to someone else. - I had no alterative to made expensive arrangements for transport. - I asked for a refund and was told, bad luck look at the fine print & you need to pick the car up by 4pm – no compromise or any suggestion for a partial refund… - I sent some 6 emails with no reply over 3 weeks. I was patient with this matter and gave Airport Rentals & Jucy every chance to resolve this matter between us both, unfortunately, they just don't care & pointed to the fine print when they finally got back to me. My recommendation is to use car rental companies with more credibility – Avis, Hertz, Europcar, Budget, etc which are based at the airport – not miles away that they need to come & pick you up. Tip for consumers:DO NOT Use AIRPORT RENTALS or JUCY Car Rentals Service Value Returns Quality
No vehicle is available on the day of picking up even the reservation has been confirmed causing my holidays trip to South Australia winery has been cancelled.
Went smoothly with the car rental once we arrived. But we called ahead to change the reservation to one less day and when asking the car rental place about a refund, they directed us back to the booking website. We were then told, after the fact, that they didn't do refunds for unused days. It is not an unused day if I called ahead to change the reservation. Why would a car rental office tell us that the booking company would refund the money if they wouldn't? There is a serious lack of communication about booking and changing reservations. Will not use this service again as they have no problem taking your money...
This appears to be another Priceline company. I used to have great experiences with hotels, but this is the second time I got tangled with a car rental company that was associated with Priceline. (different name this time) AVOID THEM... in fact... I am finished with Priceline altogether. They sneak in non-refundable charges... when you find out you have been screwed they say the deposit is not refundable. Must be very profitable.
