    BUYER BEWARE: We have ordered from CoffeeBeanDirect through Amazon many times with no issue until today. Coffee package arrived with a 1 inch slash while the Amazon packaging has no cuts or tears. Tried to get refund or exchange; but, CoffeeBeanDirect does not believe in their products enough to have a refund/exchange policy and this is OK with Amazon.     I have been ordering a coffee from them for a year. My favorite one is Colombian coffee. When I was placing my order for the first time I had some technical problems. I called a customer service and the consultant was very polite and assisted me with all issues. If you still hesitate to order from them or on, order with no doubts!
    I have been a subscriber of Coffee Bean Direct products since February of 2012 when my late brother, who was already purchasing from Coffee Bean Direct, suggested I give them a try. Wife and I are coffee lovers - - - kitchen is decorated in coffee decor - - and there is no doubt that Coffee Bean Direct is a gem. Product wise, we have tried a variety over the years and never a 1 has disappointed. Beans are always freshly roasted and there is NOTHING that beats the smell of opening a new 5lb bag and getting that whiff of heaven. Our current favorite is Grandpa's Blend... amazing blend of beans and just the right roast for a smooth cup of coffee. Our second favorite is the Hawaiian Kona Blend which we purchase for our RV trips. Product is excellent but even more so, if that is possible, is their service. I'm in NC now (been here since 1989) and know Frenchtown well as I grew up in Pittstown. Their staff is top shelf. Always helpful. Always responsive. Always providing a smile and good cheer. Recently worked with Shawna and what a pleasant person who answered my inquiry quickly and was not "robotic". Thank you Shawna and thank you Coffee Bean Direct team. So glad to see this company flourishing and wish them many more years of success. Please don't change who you are for in large part it is what you are!     I had a subscription with this company for some time, it worked well, COVID hit, they shut down. I stop receiving shipments, as expected, and their online system indicates that these orders are all "processing". So finally I notice that, even though these orders haven't arrived, and they're still marked "processing", the company *has* charged my account. So I call them to say that I want to cancel those pending orders and refund the charges, and they tell me that a) the orders have shipped, b) the orders were delivered (months ago), and c) they're not giving me any refunds! And, by the way, the website only says "processing" because of some software glitch. I was so angry that I stepped it all the way up to the owner, "Andrew" (Esserman, presumably), who accused me of lying to him. I could care less about the cash, I picked up the phone because I thought my account was charged as an oversight and I didn't want to keep forgetting to deal with it. Thirty minutes later I'm telling the owner of the company where to stick it, and I can't believe what a trashy business this is! And now I have to go through the trouble of reporting these charges as fraudulent! What a waste of time and emotion! Based on the other recent negative reviews here, I wonder if it's not intentional - I'm sure they're short on business just like everyone else, and they seem scummy enough to just keep the $$ instead of owning their mistakes.
    I'd be a happy camper. I was seriously paying 43$ a pound for Kona years back. My friend slapped me silly. I researched for weeks until I pulled the plug and chose coffeebeandirect. Now on a scale from 1-10 giving my Kona let's say an 8. Not just the taste, but I'd actually sit and write down how I felt in a 30 min period. If I felt like actually getting on the phone or engaging in a conversation with my GF. It was a great coffee. So I give coffeebeandirect a 7.9. Where as I'd give Starbucks a 2. I'd just hang up on her or not even think of her or no motivation for much else after stoolbucks. That being said. Omg. I had a problem with orders twice with coffeebeandirect. That were simple mistakes. They made it Right and then some without me having to open my mouth. I am in awe with customer service! For anyone out here that I've read saying anything different. I shrug my shoulders and say. Nope, that's not my experience what so ever. It's not in their nature. I've purchased a nice Electra micro casa. I've had coffee tasting gatherings looking at the creme, the flow, how long the creme lasted, the taste as well as. Do you all feel like chatting with your companions within half an hour test as well :) Not the jittery feeling that cheap beans give or coffee shop beans. Oh, for a time I went to illy roasted beans. Illy has not even come close to quality of coffeebeandirect according to my studies. Not even close. So, I thank coffee bean direct for a well done, well ran business.
    I bought 5lb of Decaf green beans (10lb total) on two different occasions. 5lb of Colombian and 5lb of Sumatra decaf green beans. Both times, the bag had 15 to 20% of shrapnel unusable beans. Worse many of the shrapnel beans go through the drum of my roaster threatening to break the rotating mechanism by blocking the rotation. Despite my best effort to triage the beans between real beans and shrapnel, the problem still occurs. Clearly they do not triage their decaf beans, just bag it up and send poor quality product to the customer, congrats! Such a shame really. Haven't heard from their customer support yet, if ever. Will update review if I do based on their actions if any. I do not recommend buying any decaf green bean from them. At your own risks. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
    This was our second order for a 5 pound container of Sencha green tea. One container lasts our family just over a year, since we serve this wonderful green tea iced at least once a day during meals. The package arrived within three days in excellent condition. The lady who accepted our order was very knowledgeable and helpful. We would have absolulely no hesitation placing additional orders with CoffeeBeanDirect. Excellent folks with whom to do business!
    For a large scale roaster, these guys have an excellent grasp on the small roaster market. I've been grinding my own beans for 2+ years now and tend to try a new roaster every month. I'm not particularly cheap but I do have a problem paying $15-$20 for a 12oz bag. So, I search for price And quality. I really liked the 21/2 lb bag and for a little less than $30 it's a real deal. Lastly, as an experienced espresso maker, the coffee is as good as many single source suppliers. Costa Rican Blend.
    We've been customers for over 7 years. Our favorite is Chocolate Raspberry. We are upset that they no longer have "flavor boost" but it's still the most flavorful coffee available anywhere.
    Have purchases several times different flavors. Little to NO flavor. Samples taste better than Large bags Product smells good DOES not have the RICH taste. French vanilla = Low, Highlander Grogg = Low / Medium, Hazelenut = Low / medium...
    I ordered my coffee before the holiday shipping rush, I thought. After fedex(useless) failed to deliver on scheduled date they pushed delivery out another 3 days. On Monday I called CBD to see what went wrong and was told,"due to holiday things are running behind, do not worry your coffee WILL BE DELIVERED Tuesday". Tuesday came and NO DELIVERY, so I opened a PayPal dispute and requested a refund since the delivery was 5 days late and I purchased locally. CBD responded that they had spoken to fedex(useless) and they were ASSURED delivery for Wednesday. Within 1 hour of their response fedex(useless) updated the status of delivery to state scheduled delivery was now THURSDAY(today). After I watched the fedex(useless) driver pass my house this morning I called fedex(useless) and was informed that CBD had filed a request for return on WEDNESDAY! I went to PayPal expecting to see my refund but NONE had been issued. These scumbags do not provide the product I purchased and because I complained they turned the delivery around and are holding my money. SCUMBAG LIARS, DO NOT BUY FROM THEM!
    I am unsure just how many years we've been getting our coffee from Coffee Bean Direct, I just know I am SO glad we started and wouldn't give it up! I hope that our budget allows us to continue drinking is. It's the best I've ever tasted! Thank you Coffee Bean Direct for making mornings so delicious!
    We visited many Kona coffee houses when on the island, I have never tasted anything this bad over there. Save your money, maybe it's hit or miss and I just missed, that I don't know but I would never buy from them again. If I could just get my money back they can have their coffee back.
    I became extremely fond of Costa Rican coffee during our visit to this beautiful Central American country. Even though we were living in Panama where they grow their own coffee, we were partial to the Costa Rican. Imagine my delight when I found this product available domestically by mail order here in the U.S. Except you know what they say. If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. We nearly gagged on our first brew of the freshly ground whole beans. I think, if the Dept. of Commerce people of Costa Rica found out their name was on this coffee, it might stir up an international incident. This stuff tasted worse than Folgers, and it cost significantly more. When I called Coffee Bean Direct about their return policy, I was told I would pay for shipping and receive a store credit for the original amount of my purchase - $46.00. Why would I do that? There is no guarantee I would like any other variety after determining my favorite coffee as they prepared it was barely palatable. We will manage to use this coffee by mixing about 1/3 measure of Costa Rican with some good Costco coffee until it is gone. We won't be buying from Coffee Bean Direct any more. Lesson learned. Buyer beware.
    Have ordered a bag of 908g coffee beans from their website and selected the standard delivery method at the check-out page, which takes up to 5 days to get the beans delivered to my address. Unfortunately it took them 10 days to ship the item. I feel extremely disappointed and I will not recommend Coffee-Direct to any one.

    I ordered the "Sinful Delight" and "Brazilian Santos" coffees. They arrived early, are very fresh, and are reasonably priced. I like light and medium roast coffees, and these are perfect, very smooth and flavorful. I highly recommend Coffee Bean Direct.

    My wife and I appreciate good coffee and teas, and I find myself making French press coffee at least once a day. That said, I was impressed when I stumbled upon the CBD website and found they have quite a large selection of varieties of both coffee beans and teas. Each time I've placed an order, it arrives two business days later, and the beans have been super fresh. When it comes to coffee, no matter where I buy beans I always order whole beans, and I can honestly say you can really tell the difference between their beans and beans from other places because CBD's beans have always been the freshest. Their site says they don't roast most of their beans until you order them. We keep ordering more Irish breakfast tea, Mocha Java like blend (very difficult to find authentic Mocha Java these days), and the house blend. I just got the nerve to order the smoked beans, and I'm certainly looking forward to it. I was truly surprised by the negative reviews posted here. They are either freak occurrences or they were posted by competitors.
    I usually order green coffee beans from Sweet Marias. When I went to do so last month, I was inadvertently sent to Coffee Bean direct. I thought perhaps Sweet Marias had changed their name. So, the trusting person I am, I placed my order anyway, later to find out this was not the case. The beans arrived quite speedily, but they were way more expensive than Sweet Marias and also of poor quality. There are a lot of widows, making it difficult to get an even roast. I did not understand how I got redirected to Coffee Bean Direct when I was trying to order from Sweet Marias, but later learned this is a practice, and a deceptive one at that, that this company uses. I will avoid this company in the future.
    This is my fourth year purchasing from CoffeeBeanDirect. My initial order was for a sample pack (it arrived with additional 'gift' samples of tea and a coffee mug). My next order was for three or four of the coffees I'd tried as samples (they included yet another 'gift' mug!). Since then, I've placed regular orders (it's been three years, every few months) of their Super Dark Espresso. Their customer service has been invariably courteous and their shipping reliable and prompt.
