    I bought a dress for my sons wedding in September in May. Unfortunately, I had a kidney transplant two weeks after and have had multiple complications. I am just now getting back on my feet. I lost 20 pounds from being so ill. I need to exchange it from a size 14 to size 12. It's not on sale and both of those sizes are in stock. The tags are still on it. It has never been worn.     Be careful if you decide to order something from Dillard's. I just had the worst experience after ordering a dress. The first dress was damaged - the hem was falling out. I sent it back, and the second dress had the same problem. Unfortunately I didn't see the damage until I put the dress on right before my event. Dillard's says that I should have called them because now they can't verify that I didn't cause the damage. What on earth would they have been able to do at 4:30 p.m. on a Saturday night when the event started at 5:30 p.m. I would recommend you find another more reliable store, one that actually believes in customer service and quality. Tip for consumers:I really can't believe how rude the customer service staff were to me. There are so many fine retailors maybe they decided it's OK to provide low quality products and poor service.     I absolutely despise companies that are like this. THEY made a mistake and made ME pay for it. I emailed multiple times and never got a single response. I would not recommend it at all, plenty of other companies actually have good customer service, so go elsewhere. Tip for consumers:I attached a photo of the only email I ever got.     Called the local store 25 minutes away looking for a particular perfume, they have it great! Drive there and they don't have it. Meanwhile 4 out of 5 employees visible are on their phones.     This company seems to want and need people to apply for a card but they don't care and won't tell you it's a hard credit hit. Also In most departments the employees are treated very badly, even professional workers like my roommate. Don't help dillards in college station. Here's an image of a top trying to prove I'm a person. They mistreat workers like Walmart does or possibly worse.     Freda Merendine at the fragrance counter is an amazing employee! Freda knows her stuff and makes everyone feel comfortable.     Bought 2 dresses for my daughters and it was torn after second use. Went to return and received the worst treatment and terrible customer service and they refused to return despite paying more than 100$ for a dress that does not worth a penny. They also refused to connect me with manufacturer.     I ordered a gown from Dillards and received an empty box. Called to report it. 24 hours later, they denied my claim. I have spoken to multiple customer service reps and everyone has treated me like a criminal and humiliated me. I am a 64-year-old woman and have never had to file a claim with ANY company before but understandably do not want to pay for something I have not received. They did not tape up either end of the box that the garment was supposed to have been in, the box had been crushed and the end had splayed open. I thought Dillards was a good company, but boy was I wrong. New mission in life… Tell as many people as will listen about how horrible this company is. Do yourself a favor and never order online from this company and as for me, I will never step foot inside one of their department stores again.     Dillard's sustormer service is the worst! Kay unger dress size 12 from Nordstrom is a perfect fit. From Dillard's the waist will fit, the bust won't. And for the price they sell them, the least they can do is accept a return or an exchange!     Corporate only wants your money and does not care about their customers. Jerry (from corporate) talked crap about a suggestion a customer had given, even stating that she wouldn't know anything about what customers want, right after she walked away, in front of associates and other customers, including me. This happened a few months ago, but I thought it should be posted so customers know how much they should avoid giving these corporate people any money. 1 Tip for consumers:Corporate is a group of scumbags and Jerry is the worst of them. Either fire him or lose over 1000+ customers who have signed a petition I've created about never shopping at Dillard's. Have signatures and evidence to back everything.     Return policy is not clear I started return within the amount of days, but was not able to send due to death in the family and they would not accept the return. Also charged me for shipping.     This is by far the worst company I've ever shopped from. If I could give this negative stars, I would. I wanted to order a nice, cute prom dress and it fits too small and I decide to return it. I PAY for the return label and just because it did not arrive on time at their warehouse, they send my item back to my house. I call customer service and their very rude, disrespectful and they are not understanding at ALL. They do not even offer store credit! Do not. I repeat. DO NOT shop from here.     I was shopping for some jeans for my husband. When I walked past the folded jeans their metal sign on the shelf was sticking out and I ripped a 3 by 21/2 inch hole in my shirt. They offered for me to bring my shirt back for their seamstress to patch my shirt. Like I would want to wear a patched Jones New York shirt. The manager that made the recommendation did not even show his face. At the price of that shirt, which I bought there, I can't believe that is how they wanted to compensate for their negligence in their display shelf. Customer service has really changed.     The fine print matters. I purchased designer $195.00 & $110.00 shoes precisely 1 week ago. Due to the high price of these shoes I specifically asked what the return policy is at Dillards. I was advised that I could return the shoes within 30 days. I was not advised the fine print on the receipt & did not think to check the receipt. Sales ladies act really nice when you are spending lots of money. However when you want to return what you purchase, it's a different story. I went to return the shoes because after wearing them for literally 3 hours, I had to take them off and walk barefoot. The Manager "Sabine" immediately stated that due to the $110 dollar shoes having "toe" prints & both shoes obviously looking used, they could not be returned. They were like wearing underwear & not able to be returned. Very unprofessional &rude. I felt discriminated against. I had never heard such a thing "the shoes have toe prints" Do they not get toe prints when you try them on? Tip for consumers:Fine print matters. I spent $324.83 on shoes. Due to the price, I specifically asked the Sales lady what the return policy is at Dillards. She said 30 days. When I tried to return the uncomfortable shoes that i was only able to wear for maybe 3 hours, the Manager "Sabine" said that they could not be returned due to being worn &having toe imprints on the shoes.     I purchased a dress for my daughter today in store at full price of $138 and went online to send her a picture of it only to find that it was permanently marked down online to $48.30. When we went back in to return a different item and request that the online price be honored for this dress, we were told that they won't do that, We would have to order online to get the online price (and wait for it to be delivered which isn't an option, since we're leaving town tomorrow). According to a legal review I read, this is a violation of the Consumer Protection Act, where an advertised price must be honored, and a store's online site is an advertising arm of that store. Associate said that Dillards.com and Dillard's stores are two different entities, but if that is so, then why can you return something purchased online to a store AND my digital receipt has a link to "Shop Dillards.com"? Tip for consumers:Terrible that store and website with the same name and ties to each other do not honor the same advertised price.     When trying to return an item, it took so long to get customer service to send me a label when I returned my item they said it was four days too late. I tried to talk with the store. I tried to talk with the manager I tried to talk with corporate customer service That became a full-time job so I gave up. I will never shop here again and you should not either.     I ordered sample fragrance boxes to find the contents to be depleted. After I've given boxes to family, their recourse was to collect the boxes to return. Really?!? Bad customer service!     I was going shopping at this store with some friends (we are all minors) and we were at Independence Center. We were going to try things on and a worker came up to us and said we should be shopping in the kids section and said the clothes were downstairs and proceeded to take the item out of my friends hand without asking. We just ignored it and went downstairs, when we did there was no clothes so we went back upstairs and the kids section was right there. Not only had she lied to us but she was very rude and none of the clothes would fit us because they were for young kids. But we kept looking around and two other workers were giving us dirty looks and gossiping to eachother. One of the workers called security on us because we "cant be alone after 3pm" it was around 4 at the time. So we got escorted out by an officer. Get better workers that are not disrespectful. If I could I would give 0 stars but I cant so have the 1.     If I could give Dilliard's 0 stars, I would. They make it very difficult to patronize their store. You better be on top of things when you buy something from them. Let 30 days pass, even 1 day, and you own it, even if it doesn't fit. To add insult to injury, if you are within those 30 days, you have to pay for the return label. If you are exchanging the item, then you have to pay to have the item shipped to your home again. This is so tacky for a store that's supposed to be an upscale store. I won't be shopping there anymore. I strongly recommend that you not waste your money at this store when the customer has to carry so much of the burden for shopping there.     I'll try to have the pieces I ordered fitted, but wanting that just like everywhere else the fabrics are labeled incorrectly- wool blend has 0% wool. The size chart isn't even close to the correct sizes. Not a happy online purchase. It's basically an over-priced Amazon! Same problems, just more expensive. They also ship using multiple methods, so one item will come ups, another usps. Tip for consumers:Don't trust the sizes, nor the fabrics, just like every other site!     My Husband and I stopped into Dillards last night (Saturday) and all of these 3 ladies jumped into one of the best customer services attention that I have seen in such a long time. Mary, Patrycya and Maribez were amazing. Answered all our questions and helped us find the perfume that I love. They also gave us some cool samples, which ever happens now a days. We can't thank these ladies enough, they all went above and beyond. We will come back soon to visit them again.     I like Dillard's, but I am cancelling my Dillard's card because I can't gain access to my online card services account because I can't remember my user name. I called to have it reset, they transferred me to Wells Fargo who told me there was nothing they could do because it was Dillard's account services and they transferred me back to Dillard's.     I went to Dillard's to shop for gifts for Mother's Day only to find some very unhappy sales clerks. I felt so strongly that there is a real problem with the way these employees are treated.
