Bought a few guns from Gander Mountain and had good experience from all of them, The salespeople there are very helpful and don't have the know it all attitudes like the know it all guys at BASS PRO. Recently had a problem with a gun purchase and the Manager Paul and the assistant Mgr Will were really very helpful in resolving the issue. Both went above their duty to make me feel like the purchase was appreciated. I believe the internet rumors that they are closing is an unfair lie that has been created my spite from somewhere. I for one surely hope that they stay in Myrtle Beach. If you are purchasing a gun you would do yourself a favor to go by and deal with theses guys. I have saved anywhere from 30 to 75 bucks on every gun that I have purchased from them. But most of all I appreciate the service that i got from Paul and Will. The delivery was supposed to be 3-5 business days. You guessed it those days came and went. We called to see where our item was. The customer service people informed us that the manufacturer was supposed to send out our item and never did. They had no idea what was going on. They could not tell when it might go out after 10 business days. There was never any tracking information. After 3 calls they were all too happy to take our cancellation. Poor customer service. There was no customer appreciation whatsoever. In this competitive online environment where Amazon and Walmart are guarantying 2 day delivery Gander Mountain is not competitive. They lost our business and will likely lose other consumers' business. And before you know it they will be out of business...
