    I've used Handy a number of times to clean my 3 bedroom, 2 bath house and have only been satisfied with the cleanings about 30% of the time. The website and app make it easy to book and they frequently entice me with deals. That's why I've given them multiple chances. However, the majority of the time, I'm disappointed in their cleaning "pros." I've had a no-show and a couple cancelations. When they do show, several have most certainly not been "pros" as they do not leave my house looking professionally cleaned. They neglect cleaning obvious places and they've left the job early without completing all the hours for which I've paid. I have had a rare pro who cleaned my home satisfactorily but I never have any luck requesting them again. The last time I gave Handy another chance, I wasn't home to monitor the cleaner's service and I came home to a house that appeared no more cleaner than when I left it. So I successfully contacted customer service who responded in a timely fashion and offered me a make-up cleaning, no additional charge. Problem is, the pro they sent as a replacement was new to house cleaning and he took FOREVER to clean my home and much of it didn't get done at the end of the 3 hours.     I had to rebook three times because the cleaner did not show up. Come to find out, the cleaner was getting paid $68 for a four hour job that I was getting charged $140 for. No wonder they didn't show up! Handy needs to pay their contractors a bigger portion. Date of experience: July 24, 2024
    Rogelio removed our old queen sized mattress and installed a new mattress we had purchased from DreamCloud. He went above and beyond to provide excellent service and I highly recommend him!     I'm a little old white lady and they stole $1,000 in cash from me. I am alone. I have the grand theft police report next to me. The first "pro" came an hour late, and only cleaned my small kitchen and living room for 3 hours. Afterwards my poor cat's syringe was missing so I couldn't give him his medicine. I had to stop working the next day to go to the vet to pick him up some syringes. I made a complaint to Handy so They sent me another pro who clogged my toliet, it overflowed with waste in my bathroom, and I had to get a plummer to fix it. IT WAS A NIGHTMARE!     He was exactly on time, polite, got the job done quickly and well and cleaned up the little bit of remains on the floor.     Marcelino assembled my new (heavy) standing desk. Excellent/thoughtful assembly work, friendly, on time, knew what he was doing and brought the right tools.     Multiple reschedules, customer service not helpful, sent installation tech to our house who came unprepared for the project we had requested and paid upfront for through Crate & Barrel. No proactive communication from Handy about what to expect throughout the process. A total exercise in frustration that took over 3 weeks just to get a dining room light installed.     I ordered a piece of furniture from Crate and Barrel that required assembly. After reading the reviews, it seemed that everyone struggled with the unclear instructions, so I booked an appointment with Handy for Ivan to assemble the piece. He arrived on time with a dolly full of tools. He was prepared for anything that required assembly it appeared. The instructions were indeed not helpful, so he improvised and figured it out by himself. He did a great job, was very polite, and serviceable.     I made a purchase through Costco and the Handy service was the installer. They were very accommodating since we had to reschedule twice due to snow storms. The installer, Christopher, was personable, informative, respectful, and polite. He even did the install on Sunday which was great. So far my dishwasher is working perfectly, though I only used it once really since I just had it installed two days ago. Definitely recommend. Ask for Christopher to do the install. He was amazing!     Purchased my first appliance, (dishwasher) from Costco and was very satisfied with the delivery service and the install appointment with Handy. Michael was promptly on time, very efficient, polite and informative. He suggested that one of the hoses should be replaced from the previous hosing under the sink to help decrease continuous water running to the dishwasher when it wasn't needed; which in turn would overall help decrease my water bill.     They overcharged me $121.00 for a house cleaning. The person they sent did a wonderful job. But I have sent several messages telling them I was overcharged and NOBODY is responding.     The smoker grill was never assembled by Bryce because it is yet to arrive. Today is February 14 and I'm still waiting for its arrival. I am very displeased because I never setup the date and time for the Handy Technician to arrive. I believe I am due a refund or a Technician to return and complete the task I paid in advance whenever the Smoker Grill arrives. Would it not be a better practice for you or your company to check with the client or homeowner to verify the product to be assembled has arrived before you take it on your own to send out a Technician. If this is not resolved I definitely will be filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but I wanted to at least give Handy a chance to rectify this poor service.     Be careful. They (Handy cleaning) have a way of getting you in a commintment contract without you even knowing it. This company is so frustrating.(Handy is with Angi.) You get charged whatever they want and you aren't aware until its out of your account. I had a cleaning booking cancel on me 4 times in a row, with the last time with a half hour notice. Customer service is a joke. Its a someone from a different country with little english abilty and no authority to solve the many issues.I deeply REGRET doing business with them. I have spent hours trying to get my money back, which they only do as a "Angi credit" and then when I booked a cleaning to use that credit, they charged my account $104. They would not refund it unless I cancelled the cleaning booking (which I really needed to have) PLEASE don't be scammed by this company! Tip for consumers:Don not use Handy Cleaning service or Angi.     Used handy twice for home cleaning - please stay away at all costs. Unfortunately I signed up for a package and they won't let me get out of it, even though their so-called "pros" know as much about cleaning as my 8 year old. When I tried to tell handy, they just offer token gift cards so I'm stuck with this waste of time and energy that I paid for. Even a small bathroom, takes an hour or more. So, during a 4-hour session I got two bathrooms + a powder room done (with mildew still visible in the shower and dirt gobs on the floor - from being mopped without being swept first), partial kitchen and a very soapy main floor. Each time the service was done, my husband and I had to spend another few hours cleaning up their mess. Handy should definitely drop offering cleaning services and leave this up to the regular cleaning companies. So disappointed!     First time using Handy for installation of a TV entertainment center I purchased. The installer (Christopher) was excellent. He was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and polite. The manufacturer did not provide adequate instructions but Christopher was knowledgeable enough to install my equipment nonetheless. Great job all around! Will use again!     I love that handy allows you to book high quality cleaning professionals so easily. However, I took off a star because the app does not allow you to cancel your subscription without 3 months of recurring weekly cleaning fees. I wish that was more clear. Luckily, the service is great and I'm getting addicted to having my house sparkling clean. But if your budget is tight--be prepared for weekly charges of $100+ on a weekly basis for 3 months minimum with no way out.     My assembler, Mark, arrived right on time and made quick work of the assembly, which would have taken me half a day on my own. He was polite, efficient, and communicated effectively.     I had purchased a 4 X 8 ft. Lean to greenhouse I did not feel confident enough to build myself. Handy came to the rescue in spades. My greenhouse went up quickly, and the superlative Joseph gave 110% throughout the procedure. He even discovered errors in the instruction manual, and corrected them! Nobody could ask for more!
