    Multiple reschedules, customer service not helpful, sent installation tech to our house who came unprepared for the project we had requested and paid upfront for through Crate & Barrel. No proactive communication from Handy about what to expect throughout the process. A total exercise in frustration that took over 3 weeks just to get a dining room light installed. Thumbtack is infinitely more reliable. Service Value
    I had a highly unsatisfactory experience with Handy. My primary issue revolves around their billing practices; I was charged twice, including a cancellation fee for a plan that Handy itself cancelled. This seems utterly unfair and raises questions about their ethical practices. Furthermore, the operational logistics of Handy are also concerning. The cleaners assigned to my home were often located far away, adversely affecting the quality of service they could provide. While this is no reflection on the cleaners' efforts, it indicates a lack of consideration from Handy in matching clients with nearby professionals. My dissatisfaction extends to Handy's financial model as well. It appears that a significant portion of the charges do not go to the cleaners, who are the backbone of their service. This disparity is troubling and suggests a profit-centric approach at the expense of fair compensation for their workers. Another point of frustration is the rigidity and lack of transparency in their booking system. Altering or cancelling cleaning appointments often leads to unjustified charges, and the system doesn't seem to account for changes effectively. This lack of flexibility and clarity in their process is a major drawback. Lastly, customer support is another area where Handy falls short. When technical issues arise with the app, there is no option to speak with a human representative over the phone for assistance, which can be incredibly frustrating and inefficient. Overall, my experience with Handy has been far from satisfactory. Their service model not only inconveniences customers but also seems to undervalue their own cleaners.     Had a 10-1 pm appointment for a fan install. First strike, appointment was set without contacting me, via text. Next when I spoke to Jen with service center, they say running late. Then she hung up on me. Tech never returned my calls, Handy never reached out to me. At this time, I recommend avoid them at all cost. P.S. Lowes was also of very little help.     So my pro did not show up to the scheduled time. Handy was only willing to offer a $10 no show credit for the pro not showing up. However they have the nerve to charge $25 for late cancellation if within 24 hours. I definitely am NOT recommending 'Handy.com' to anyone due to customer service. I have reschedule for another pro so i will at least see if the pro side does the job. If not i will have to write another review on that. Right now 'Handy.com' will only credit me not refund me my the inconvenience fee as to why i am still using the service.
    My assembler, Mark, arrived right on time and made quick work of the assembly, which would have taken me half a day on my own. He was polite, efficient, and communicated effectively. I wish it were easier to schedule appointments more quickly with Handy, but that's nothing to do with Mark. Products used:Assembly Service Value Quality
    They cancelled one hour before time to install only two days before Christmas. Ruined my present. Then only mount my TV when I bought TV and Soundbar. $50 more! Beware. Website did not allow communication with anyone. Just a call center sakes group. No after sale service. Service Value
    They overcharged me $121.00 for a house cleaning. The person they sent did a wonderful job. But I have sent several messages telling them I was overcharged and NOBODY is responding. It's extremely hard to get contact with this company. I have discontinued using them for this reason.
    The smoker grill was never assembled by Bryce because it is yet to arrive. Today is February 14 and I'm still waiting for its arrival. I am very displeased because I never setup the date and time for the Handy Technician to arrive. I believe I am due a refund or a Technician to return and complete the task I paid in advance whenever the Smoker Grill arrives. Would it not be a better practice for you or your company to check with the client or homeowner to verify the product to be assembled has arrived before you take it on your own to send out a Technician. If this is not resolved I definitely will be filling a complaint with the Better Business Bureau but I wanted to at least give Handy a chance to rectify this poor service.     I am so disappointed with the service today. The pro was over 2 hours late, nor she did not bring any cleaning supplies. Nothing, no rags or sponges or a vacuum or broom. The app showed my address incorrectly and when I contacted customer service they did not correct the issue, just saying that the app needs to restarted but it showed the wrong location on both mine and the pros app even after we restarted. Now she was 2 1/2 late. I scheduled during a time my son would be at work so he didnt disturb the service but since the pro was so late, he was off work and needed to be at home to work from his home office. I requested a partial refund but was only offered a $5 credit. When I returned home I discovered that she broke my cleaning supplies hanger getting a broom down and the floor was not completely swept. None of it was mopped at all.     Had an individual from Handy come to my home to assemble a wardrobe. The handy man Omitted a piece that should have been used in the assembly of my armoire, and found the piece in the box to be thrown out(with the page from the instructions) Also, the doors on the armoire were reversed. Did not realize that this had happened till he was gone. Called Handy.com to get things rectified. They did refund me but, I started having issues with the functionality of the doors so I had to have a handy man come to try and fix the issue. Unfortunately they could not put the part that was omitted because they would have had to take part of the wardrobe off to get it on. Will think twice before I hire someone from this service again Service Value
    Our pro was 3+ hours late, ended up having to come back, missed his return date and time twice, and was unable to fix our issue and referred us to another contractor. Hundreds down the drain for a 15 minute diagnostic and customer service offered us less than a quarter of what we paid back as a credit for a future services.     This app and service is a big disappointment. If no one picks up your service then you have to reschedule. This happened 3 times in one week for a house cleaning. When I reached out to the company and asked to be let out of my 6 month contract they said it would cost me $99 to cancel. They are the ones that cannot fulfill the service but I will have to pay to cancel. They are not reputable in my opinion. Going to see if I can report to the BBB.     I highly recommend reconsidering before engaging in any transactions with Handy/Angi. Our experience with their Haul Away Service, arranged through Walmart, left much to be desired. Despite Walmart indicating that the service was complimentary with a mattress purchase, the "professional" sent by Angi exploited the situation, demanding an extra fee under the pretext that King size mattresses were not covered. He insisted on a $60 payment, asserting that this was a discounted rate from the supposed standard $120, and warned of potential additional charges if the mattress was returned to Walmart. To add insult to injury, the service provider urged me to approve an extra 1 hour and 45 minutes of comp time, even though the entire job took a mere 5 minutes, during which I assisted in loading the mattress. Following this incident, I reached out to both Walmart and Angi, and both agreed that such charges were unwarranted. While Angi committed to refunding the haul away fee, they refused to reimburse the $60 paid to their "professional." Despite numerous attempts through calls and emails, it appears that Angi lacks concern for their customers, casting a shadow over their business values. I strongly discourage anyone from availing of their services to avoid falling prey to such deceptive practices. What's particularly concerning is that the individual responsible for this incident is still permitted to offer services in our residence, highlighting a lack of accountability. Instead of terminating his employment, Angi chose to let him continue, potentially scamming the next unsuspecting customer. Moreover, the frustration was exacerbated by the offshore customer service, making communication with Angi even more challenging. Conversations with representatives in India, following a repetitive script, added to the overall dissatisfaction with the company's handling of the situation. Angi should strive for improvement in both service transparency and customer support, and reconsider the impact of their business practices on consumer trust.     Id avoid hiring this particular individual. I am still dealing with multiple 'misplaced' items. And On top of things being "moved around" to the point that they dont seem to be in the house at all anymore, to add insult to injury, the actual cleaning of the house was mediocre at best. The other individuals i have used from this app were perfectly wonderful and deserve praise however. My advice would be to make sure you can stay home during her ENTIRE cleaning should you get paired with and choose to keep Marrissa Q in Colorado as your cleaning professional
    This is my first time using handy to install my new television on the wall over my fireplace. Diego contacted me on the day of install. He told me what time he will arrive at my home. Diego is it true professional neat,clean, and very friendly to work with. He showed me how to use the functions and told me the best angle to use while sitting on my couch.     I bought two faucets through Wayfair and paid to have Handy install them. The "pro" broke one of my sinks. Handy has made no effort to fix the problem other than offering me $175 for a new sink. AND, they want me to sign a release which states if I take the money, I can be fined $5000 for posting a negative review - regardless of the veracity. STAY away. FIND your own handyman. Tip for consumers:Don't use them unless you don't care whether they stand behind the service they provide.     I thought handy was great until I learned that only $80 of the $200+ I spent having a local person come clean my house for 4 hours went to the actual worker. These folks are 1099 so that aren't making close to anything after taxes and are not receiving any benefits. Here I thought I was helping an independent worker out just to find out that I was terribly wrong. So here's my tip, use handy once or twice until you find the person you like.     The pathetic company thinks it's perfectly reasonable to reschedule 1 hour before the scheduled arrival time. I guess they don't consider interrupting schedules to be a concern and obviously don't care at all their customers. I called to discuss my options and all calls are routed to a center in the Philippines where the "customer service" people have limited to ability to do anything helpful.     I've used Handy for about a 1 1/2 yrs now. Every transaction with them has been smooth (even when I had a reimbursement). The professionals that come all take great pride in their work and do a wonderful job. It's also a great value compared to other companies near me.
    I've had Ronnieandre clean for me twice. He shows up on time, comes in and completes expected services per the online description. He always let's me know what room he'll be in and what he's doing which helps me feel comfortable. I'm looking forward to working with Ronnieandre again soon.     I would give them zero stars. They cancelled 2 hours before each time they rescheduled. I had 4 appointments rescheduled before I finally cancelled them and had a handy man come put my table and chairs together. They are the worst. I will never recommend them or use them. Their customer service does nothing for customers except say I understand and sorry. They also take 4-6 weeks to issue a refund. All unacceptable in my book. Service Value Quality
