  • Holiday Inn Review

This place is very clean, have a friendly staff and around a shopping center with good restaurants. There is also commercial truck parking. Products used:Restaurant, swimming pool Service Value Quality
Don't stay at the Holiday Day Inn. It is a toxic work environment. They only hire Jamaicans and if you are not Jamaican they gang up on you. They take all the sheets so you can't make your beds, they give you the worst rooms again so it takes you more time to finish your room (thus making it appear you are slow). They don't check to see if things are working (I. E. fridge needs defrosting, lights burnt out) Again, you then have to call down to maintenance so again they won't clear you that the room is done. Lastly, the linen is badly stained yet they say they have a standard and you can't use stained sheets so again you waste time running back and forth to the cart trying to find a sheet that is acceptable (none are). Also the King beds don't have proper sheets to fit the bed so you can properly make the bed. Basically, they set you up for failure unless you are Jamaican. Holiday Inn at Dixon Road in Toronto keep your job, you are not a luxury hotel. The bath tubs are disgusting need to be all re done. Let your supervisor, Vanessa in housekeeping know that she doesn't own the property, she just works there and that all she can do is supervise dirty linens as well as her buddy Kattia from HTA 75. Tip for consumers:Don't stay at the Holdiay Inn the linens are dirty, they don't change the duvets after there has been a guest that was not clean. The rooms smell they don't take them out of order to air them out. Trainer from HTA 75 Kattia is lazy tells people don't have to wash out the tub as well as prejudice. It is common knowledge in the black community that Jamaicans don't like other blacks. Yes, Kattia aren't you lucky that my country allows you to be here. You are a guest in my country! Products used:nothing was suppose to be training for a job toxic environment.
Amazing place to stay for a short period such a city break, friendly staff, clean room, tasty breakfast, Will definitely book again
I booked a room at this particular franchise as it provided the services we required near a location where we had appointments. Most importantly, we required a handicap-friendly (i. E., roll-in shower accessible) room as my seventy-five year husband, is a below-the-knee amputee with heart issues. Had I been advised of the conditions of the room that we were given, the booking would never have been made. To be frank, the room was a horror and whoever is responsible for its upkeep should be deeply ashamed. I do not refer to the hotel staff, but to those who control the purse strings when repairs are needed. As you will see below, this room should never have been rented, much less considered an accessible room. Specifically: 1) Upon opening the door following check-in, a thick smell permeated everywhere. It is difficult to describe, but it was very similar to concrete dust and smoke. 2) There were two electrical switches to the left of the door upon entry. Only one worked. 3) The air conditioning panel didn't work properly. It was either full out freezing or nothing. There was no fan control, nor temperature control. We were told that the system "could" be under the control of a central computer or the hotel guest, but we obviously had zero control other than "off" and "on." 4) The strip light above the sink in the bathroom didn't work. This was reported and maintenance replaced the bulb. 5) There was no working extractor fan in the ceiling of the bathroom. Condensation was rife. 6) Tiles in the shower were slippery when wet. The bench seat tilted at a downward angle when sat upon, giving poor support when water and soap made it slick. Again, this was supposed to be for someone who has difficulty standing in the shower. 7) The shower curtain did not stop water from escaping the shower area. The floor of the entire bathroom flooded, with water seeping out into the entryway. We had to take four towels and make a barrier to prevent this from happening. There was a small plastic "liner" that was supposed to contain the water, but it made no difference. When it was mentioned to maintenance, we were told that the hotel was about to undergo renovations. Evidently, whoever controlled the finances believed it was better to risk a handicapped client slipping and falling on a flooded floor than to spring for a new liner. 8) The cistern/tank of the toilet would not fill and water continued to flow. The white tube that carried water into the tank was trapped and we had to physically move the tube in order for water to fill the tank. 9) Sheets and the duvet cover appeared to be in great demand. Our bed was made in the following manner: a fitted sheet, a duvet without any cover and then a sheet on top of the duvet. 10) The safe was inoperable at check-in. Only after I went to complain was I told that all of the hotel safes had been deactivated for the pending renovation. Due to the items we were carrying, we required a safe. It was one of the reasons why we had chosen this particular hotel—the safe. It took the General Manager's intervention to get it reset so that we could use it. 11) The same dresser that held the safe had drawers that would not close. If shut, they would slowly roll back open several centimeters. 12) The work/computer desk was falling apart. Of the two decorative tiles that should have been in the front, one was hanging by a nail (or however it was actually attached) and one was missing. The in-built power strip did not work for the USB charging point. 13) There was no microwave, although that was one of the features promised. Your General Manager, Jerrod, managed to find one for us. (As you will read later, Jerrod was one of the few bright spots in this stay.) 14) The television control did not work. Eventually, one was found and brought to us. 15) There were only 10 channels available and none matched the guide. Television service, along with everything else, was downgraded until the upcoming renovation. (More on this later) 16) The coffee maker leaked when used. 17) The clock alarm could not be reset. 18) There was an iron, but no ironing board. 19) Our room, #109, was on the ground floor. Curtains were important—especially as there were several "visitors" outside of the window at night to sit and smoke. Unfortunately, the right side of the runner was broken and hung down at a steep angle, thus leaving the curtains approximately one-quarter open. We had to take the heavy curtains and place them on the window sill, using their balled-up weight to keep them closed. 20) The room was right next to a meeting room, the Galleria. Special events were held here—and music was playing full blast on several occasions. We had to call twice on one particular night as we couldn't hear with the noise. The bed was placed up against the wall adjoining this events room. Again, this was a handicapped room. 21) Despite the numerous complaints that we were forced to make, we were never offered an alternative room. Instead, it was initially suggested that we might want to find another hotel—an impossibility for the reasons listed below. 22) The washing machine in the laundry room was out-of-order the entire time we stayed. 23) The pool and fitness rooms were closed for a day and a half with no reason given, just a sign hanging up. 24) There was no notification about the scarcity of room service. I had to enquire at Reception as to why no one collected our garbage, etc. I was informed that housekeeping only came if your stay is over 5 days due to the current health crisis. This would not have been an issue with us as we prefer not to have service other than trash and towels, but we should have been made aware of this policy. At the very least, a little notice and/or advisement at check-in would have been helpful. Why did we stay? No choice. We live out-of-country and had flown in on personal business. Whenever we're in the States, we take advantage of obtaining items we cannot get where we live. For this visit, we had placed numerous orders with the hotel as our address. There was no way for us to change or cancel these orders. Secondly, CPAC was being held in Dallas and the chances of finding another handicap-accessible room at the last minute were miniscule. We felt our hands were tied. During our stay, we heard from several sources that the upcoming (approximately in 9 days, or around the 17th of July) renovation was why things were in the condition that they were in. There is absolutely no excuse why this hotel continues to operate with such abysmal standards, charges for services not provided or in a borderline-dangerous condition. Room 109 should never have been rented out. There was one bright spot in this mess: the staff. General Manager Jerrod did his best to provide the missing items while maintaining a friendly and professional demeanor. He apologized for the conditions pending renovation and promised that he would do his best to make things right for us and we believe that he did absolutely everything he could with what was available to him. He was a star. Additionally, your receptionists were great and one in particular, Vanessa, should also be commended for how well she handled things when I began reporting the problems we encountered. On the first day alone, I had to go down to Reception at least a half of dozen times, if not more. Each time, Vanessa was friendly and professional, despite my clearly being upset. Tip for consumers:DO NOT accept a room at this hotel unless you've thoroughly checked it out. Don't forget to check the services (ie, Fitness Room), too.
I booked a room at holiday inn bloomington illinois the rate was$174.95 They turn$260. Telling me this is a Recovery fee and taxes. This almost doubles the price found it on hotels dot com and Booking dot com cheaper. I called less than an hour later, and they tried to charge me at twenty five % cancelations fee. The website does not disclose this price. And I didn't even see it till my credit card receipt came through. Then I couldn't even call the hotel. I had to call a special 800 number where the people had no clue what they were doing. I'm waiting to see if they refund myimani if not obviously I will take care of the charges through my credit card. This is the worst hotel experience I've ever had and I would never recommend anybody ever staying here.
Our family took a long trip from Asia to France. Last stop is Holiday Inn Toulouse Airport. (We haven't used the Holiday Inn Express). It is a very nice hotel, very good price, polite staff, nice free shuttle to Airport, and convenient tram and M (underground) half hour to city centre. My sons liked very much their free and strong WiFi! We asked for connected rooms and we got it. The only problem is that their printed sheet on travel info to City Centre does not provide exact info--added with verbal interpretation by counter staff (about one day Pass, saying that one Pass for family, but actually it should be per person... and about Single Trip fees per person... etc). Likely due to poor English interpretation. Should improve on this. Tip for consumers:Good Value, Holiday Inn Toulouse Airport Service Value Quality
Holiday Inn Express 1715 plaza ln Allentown pa******* my husband and I called the Holiday Inn express ans explained that another hotel turned 3 teenage girls away and pretty much didn't care if they had to sleep in their car, the lady at the holiday Inn became concerned. She immediately said they absolutely could stay there. All we had to do was give a credit card and take FULL responsibility for anything that happened to the room. The lady at the Super 8 by Wyndam(cockrach) hotel in Allentown didn't care and was not letting them stay there! Thank you Holiday Inn. Your staff were amazing wirh us and the girls felt safe when they were greater with your friendly, compassionate staff. Truly appreciative. Products used:Hotel room Service Value Quality
My husband and I stay at the Holiday Inn Toronto-Yorkdale several times a year, usually for a week at a time. The level of customer service could not be better- absolutely everyone on staff is terrific. We enjoy the food in the restaurant and they have many vegetarian options which is important for us. I have to repeat how awesome the level of service is- this is the hospitality business at it's best.

I recently made a reservation at a holiday inn in Pennsylvania. Unfortunately, while I was traveling to the hotel, the weather turned bad and there were severe thunderstorms with lightning and thunder. I had to cancel the reservation and stay at a different hotel in the area I was when the weather got bad. Holiday inn refused You issue me a refund for this booking because it is a non-refundable reservation. I feel this is unfair since the weather is out of anyone's control and they should understand that. I would stay at any other hotel regardless of the cost.
Good prices and high level of service. I stay at the Holiday Inn whenever I travel. I went to a Holiday Inn Suites while in Boston and the rooms were outstanding. I went to New York with my twin sons and wife and got a suite. Fantastic and safe.
There was an occasion being celebrated by my friend and I so we choose to do it at the Holiday Inn Toronto yorkdale. I was very surprised and satisfied at the same time, with the level of service that this hotel offers. We were treated like family by management and staff, even the executive Chef came out and wanted to know if the meal was enjoyable. The hostess was Shelly and she made it happen. Her service was excellent and not just with us but to other quest as well. I wouldn't hesitate going back to the Holiday Inn Toronto Yorkdale. With confidence I would recommend anyone to that Hotel where they give the royal treatment, and by the way endless shopping is just across the street. I said yes for there hospitality. Ron C. We were recently in Charleston at the Holiday Inn Express on the Ashley River the room was very nice, maid service was excellent and the breakfast was very well done. If you are planning a trip to Charleston SC I HIGHLY SUGGEST THIS HOTEL.
Keys didnt work to room. No refrig. Parking was $10. / night, yet the guard let people he knew( opening the gate) in for free on Fri and Sat nights to go swimming. Ran out of toilet paper, had to use your kleenex. Cheap when I need not be. Over $100/ night, give us a friggin break. Eill Never return to this establishment!
My family drove 3 hrs for a disappointing vacation. I made reservations 3 months early to stay at 16th st. Location. When we got there, I was told there was no room and we would have to stay on 66th location. I was so upset! My brother who is mentally handicapped needed to stay at 16th st. Because he was familiar with the area and could enjoy the boardwalk... on 66th st, he was limited to when he could be driven down. He doesn't have alot to look forward to and now, he's pretty much stuck in the hotel room... when we get to our room on 66th st... they gave us the first floor... there is a stupid fake boardwalk where people are gaulking in my room... some decide to rest on my patio. I had to keep the curtains closed. Whenever people opened their sliding doors... it was loud... sounded like thunder. This was the worst hotel I have ever been in... and we should have been on 16th street.
