I ordered a 3 yard cut of 108" backing fabric at $64, which should have shipped at $25. They charged the full amount ($89), sent 1 yard (totally unusable, as it was intended for a backing for a full sized quilt) therough Fedex, who charged me $52 in duties. I paid, expecting the full order, only to find 1 yard. When I contacted Keepsake, they blamed it on me, saying I ordered 1 yard - if I did, why did they charge the full amount for 3 yards? - and said the duties were on me and they weren't responsible. They refunded me $40 - bottom line, I paid $101 ($141 minus the $40 refund) for one yard of fabric I cannot use. Worst customer service in decades of online of shopping for fabric. Warning: Don't ever order a block of the month program from Keepsake Quilting. If I could give them a zero rating, I would. I started the Mystical Prism block of the month in October 2017. I received 10 of the 12 blocks and it is now November 2018. I have not received a shipment since August 2018. That's 3 months. Still missing the last 2 blocks and 13 months have passed. I contacted them numerous times. I was told they were working "diligently" on inventory, which has absolutely nothing to do with shipping out a block of the month on time. Another phone call, another person told me the shipment just came in. What does that mean? Did they run out of the blocks? No reasonable explanation. Once this fiasco is over, I will remove my name from all email correspondence and will never look at their website or shop with them again. Buyer beware! Date of experience: December 12, 2018
This site has a wonderful selection of kits, fabrics, and patterns for every type of quilting. I've purchased things from them, and the quality of product and customer service is awesome. Even more importantly I ran into a slight snag once with an order, and it was fixed immediately, and in a very friendly and supportive manner. This is definitely a great company/site to deal with. Wrote Keepsake an email regarding a kit I purchased. One of the main fabrics was missing from the kit. After waiting TWO WEEKS for a reply, I called their customer service. All the woman had to say was "all sales are final" and "I think we may have the fabric. Let me call you back with a price". A PRICE?! I already paid for it! I will NEVER order from Keepsake again. And I will be sure to tell my friends and family about this unacceptable customer service incident. There are way too many quilt shops now Keepsake. Good luck. Date of experience: May 27, 2020
This company fulfills the order in a very leisure pace. Unbelievably slow. Additionally, you have to be lucky to get someone to answer your call. Gee, how do they exist this time and age!? I won't order from them ever again. Date of experience: June 16, 2020
Amended review: Keepsake Quilting reached out to me and has promised to make it right. I appreciate very much that they apologized and are sending my order right away. Original Review: This company sells fabric they don't have! I ordered on 5-1-20. When I didn't get a shipping notice, I contacted them on 5-18, and they told me it would be shipped on or before 5-27. I heard nothing for another 3 weeks, so I contacted them again today. I was told their manufacturer had to shut down due to the covid virus and it would not be shipped until July. This fabric that they sold me SIX WEEKS AGO is not even in this country! And rather than let me know about any of these "unavoidable delays," they ignored their obligation. The website is pretty, but the business practices are as shady as can be! Date of experience: June 9, 2020
I have been quilting for over 30 years. This company was sold and the quality of their products are now so very cheap and hard to work with. When I called about the product the manager insisted the products were the same. I purchased the Amish Black, when I last purchased the product it was of thick weight and 100% cotton. Now it is la light weight poly blend. If you are looking for good quality fabric you will not get it through this company. Also buyer be warned their return policy is horrible as I did not get the intended product but I had to pay to return it just to get a partial refund. Please be warned. Obvoiusly has been sold to a company who doesnt' know what its doing. The web site is really bad and ugly. Can hardly read anything or see pictures. Why do companies change things for the worst used to be good. Date of experience: April 15, 2019
Apparently the kit and backing fabric I purchased was back-ordered. Every time I followed up for status I was promised it would ship within the week. The kit finally arrived a month later. The backing fabric still hasn't shipped. I will never purchase from this site again. Date of experience: November 30, 2019
I ordered the dream big block of the month from keepsake quilting. Everything was fine, until they canceled my order for the backing fabric half way through the 6 month BOM. No biggie, I'll make due with something similar. Then, they ran out of fabric so I can't complete the block of the month at all. I'm out 200$ and have a quilt that is in pieces that can't be completed. WTF? No apologies, no answer to emails, just tough luck. The other bad reviews are accurate. Avoid doing business with this company. Date of experience: December 29, 2018
I have ordered from Keepsake Quilting several times. I love their catalogue and enjoy perusing it. The problem comes when you order something. It is very slow to arrive. When you call their Customer Service they will tell you what you want to hear but I have called three times about my last order and they told me that they would ship the part that wasn't back ordered. Today was my third call and they are still "looking in to it". I think this will be my last order from them. Missouri Star Quilting now has a wonderful catalogue and mynordwrs come very quickly without issue. Date of experience: August 28, 2017
I used to order from Keepsake Quilting all of the time, however; since it was sold the quality of service has gone down the tubes. I ordered a printed panel 7 months ago and still haven't received it. I was told it was back ordered, then out of stock and couldn't be re-ordered, then that it had been shipped to the wrong address and I was going to be charged additional shipping to send it to the correct address. I called to tell them to just cancel the order, in that they don't seem to be able to get it right, and was told that the panel had been shipped out again a week ago. I checked the tracking number only to find that, according to the shipper, it had only been sent out yesterday. The order prior to this took over 6 weeks to get to me and that one supposedly didn't have any back orders in it. Sad to see what was a great on-line store turn into such a mess. I recently bought a pattern from Keepsake Quilting. What I got for $8.95 was a piece of paper with a circle and a square on it. I thought I was getting a dog applique pattern. Sure that was the picture on the package but not what was inside. When I called, I was told that the dog applique pattern was separate. The person acknowledged it was unclear. No offer for a return/exchange or any way to make up for the confusion. Why? Would anyone just buy a piece of paper with a circle and a square on it for the outline of a hotpad? I ordered a BOM kit (fantasy flights) Month 9 was short fabric and was suppose to be sent with Month 10. I received my Month 10 shipment and the shortage from Month 9 was not sent. I reached out and was told that the missing fabric from Month 9 will be shipped with Month 11. WTF? A decent company would correct the problem immediately. Do the right thing and send the fabric that I paid for 2 months ago. Service Value Shipping Quality Date of experience: November 28, 2022
A recent order was delivered by fedex and left at the side of the road, not at the house, and not visible from the house. The package was not there when I went to get it, someone else took it. Keepsake says it's my problem and not theirs, i have to eat the cost of a misdelivered package. Tip for consumers:buy somewhere else that stands behind their sales Products used:package lost Date of experience: September 21, 2022
Their free shipping uses Fed -Ex economy rate, which is horrendous. My packages have not shown any movement for 7 days. NOBODY can tell me where they are but Fed Ex has 21 BUSINESS DAYS, from the last scan date, to deliver. Keepsake Quilting is not worth it Date of experience: May 9, 2022
While in the past I have been very happy with the fabrics I have gotten from Keepsake Quilting lately their services and billing have been atrocious. I was billed for two shipments I got in March, no problem there. Then in July they started billing me for a shipment I never got and they didn't bother to contact me about it even though the card was declined because it had been stolen. They just kept trying to use the credit card number I had originally given them and if I hadn't looked at my account I wouldn't have known they were trying. No contactI got me and no help was what I got from customer when I called. Said the post office showed it was delivered when I never got it and told me to take it up with them.
