    Customer service really needs an adjustment...came in and wanted yarn. It was in a sale rack when it came up at register it was full price. I said it was in a rack with sale price. Several colors same price. Instead of calling someone to verify my price she says want it or not? She was so rude. I said not for the original price. The person I was with asked whats up, getting my other items...the cashier she says under her breath... Not my problem. Oh man. I am not a person to make big deal in public but that was wrong!
    I've called 4 to 5 times about this. I'm unable to place an order. They claim it's because if my payment method. I changed it 5x, even used PayPal. They say they are unable to place the order for me. I have a custom order to complete before Tuesday and now ill have to run to almost 7 stores to see if i can gather what i need a none of the stores have what i need at 1. REALLY poor customer service and communication skills. Absolutely zero resolutions or attempts to resolve. Ill be looking into other craft stores and companies online now.     Sent me the wrong item, the item sent costs about $100 less. The box was full of trash literally right from the trash can (i made sure i took pictures). They never sent the correct item after emailing them for over a week and not getting a response i called to find out they never shipped the correct item. 2 weeks and nothing. I'm going to return the item to the Michaels store that sent and make sure they get their trash back and I'll buy the item somewhere else. I'll never be back to Michaels and I'll be sure to pay this review on every web site i find. Tip for consumers:Be warned, DO NOT SHOP AT MICHAELS.     I really love Michael's but now they are having a sweepstakes that really sucks. I tried to play the game today and was given a scratch game that didn't work. I couldn't scratch it. When I went to try on my regular computer, not handheld, it told me I have exceeded my gameplay for the day. That sucked. Tip for consumers:it is slow going for me. Takes some loading time.     I ordered (10) containers with lids. I've ordered the same containers without issues previously. This time they were shipped without lids. I tried chat, no resolution, tried calling and still no resolution. Trying to return them is impossible. They're useless without lids. But their customer service doesn't care. My nearest store is over an hour away. I was told it will take a minimum of 2 weeks for a replacement order to be sent, AFTER they receive this order back. But in order to return it, it's my responsibility to drive it to a UPS center that is 40 miles away roundtrip. Tip for consumers:Worst customer service experience I've ever had. Products used:None.     Ordered a Wilton mini cupcake pan on Amazon and the box came today from Michaels and contained a cheaper pan from a brand named Celebrate It. I started a return on Amazon and hope I get a refund in less than the 30 days that Michaels website states is the normal refund time. Crap store selling crap knock offs and thinking the consumer won't notice.

    Recently ordered from their site 8 tubes of a very hard to find pigment as it is no longer made. To be precise it was Quinacrodone Nickel Azo Gold by the Golden Paints. I was so pleased to find this prized color only to be sent Azo Gold, a different color. So far, out of 8 tubes, I find out today the order was cut to 6 tubes of this color as they have some supply issues. Mind you I don't even want this color as it is not what I ordered or what was advertised. And here is the kicker, I was notified by Pay Pal that I am going to recieve a whopping 11.60. On Michaels site they say for the 2 tubes I am to recieve a credit of $40.52 Guess what I will be doing with my spare time. I am disappointed with being deceived about the paint and now gotta deal with a refund issue to boot. I hope this gets easier because all of it is going back to Michaels and I expect nothing less than a full refund. Tip for consumers:I won't deal with these folks again.     Had a very important christmas project go terribly awry when a gold paint marker (from Michaels) turned out to be DoA. Upsetting, sure, but it was easy enough to head back to Michaels for a replacement. Alas, they were out, and it was closing time. So I placed an online order with another store, to pick up the next day (today). The order included two paint markers (of different brands, to be safe). Not only did they cancel one without notice or an effort to substitute (because it was "out of stock" - despite the website reporting plenty availabile) - but the other one they failed to include in the order. This couldn't be checked until returning home - as the store was insanely busy and the bag was knotted shut. Project ruined, days wasted. Contacting online support in hopes that a replacement could be set aside for one more arduous, last ditch effort to salvage the situation. Unfortunately, the first associate couldn't comprehend that two different markers were ordered and neither were present, and just kept repeating that the item wasn't included because it was out of stock and I'd be refunded. After my third time trying to explain (because it's rocket science, apparently) online support HUNG UP ON ME. They asked a question and then before I could even begin to type a response they wrote "I haven't heard from you regarding the last issue for an excessive amount of time so I'm closing the chat." I can't wait until Michaels is finally out of business - they deserve it. Tip for consumers:I've never experienced such garbage customer service and sheer incompetence in my life.     Long since gone are the days of customer service and friendly human contact. I went to my local Michael's store in Webster NY and proceeded to get the many supplies I needed and some that I didn't. I had a full cart of well over 150.00 worth of merchandise and proceeded to the cashier. There was one employee who asked if I was paying by card or cash. I asked does it matter which she replied if you're paying by card you can use our new self checkouts. I asked what if I'm paying by cash? She said than it will be a min while I get another employee to watch me cash you out. I asked oh are you in training she said no its just policy because it's cash. I asked what if I don't want to use the self check out. After all I don't work here and I never use them I think they are extremely unpersonable. She said those were my only 2 choices. I then said so let me get this straight. If I use a card I will have to check myself out where you will then watch me to make sure I'm scanning everything in my cart. But if I pay cash then not only do I get you to do your job but I also get another employee to watch you do your job because they don't trust you. The girl just said yeah basically. I was shocked. I know a lot of stores have become very lacking with human interaction with their customers. However I feel if I don't want human interaction then I can order stuff online. However, if I have take my time to go to a store,obtain merchandise and then pay for it than I should at least have the option of having an actual person who is getting paid cash me out. If I'm going to check my items out and bag them than at least I should be getting an employee discount. I'm tired of big corporations cutting jobs, and human interaction with their customers all to save a buck. Pretty soon it will be the customers coming to empty the delivery trucks and restocking the shelves. Needless to say I left my cart full of items and walked out of the store and went to Hobby Lobby where they don't have self checkouts and I wont be returning to Micheals. By the way 2 other women followed me out who were standing in line and ended up going over to Hobby Lobby too. Products used:none
    I love Michael's. The employees were great, but I wish they had more adult ceramics to paint. And more stuff to paint for adults. How about getting I don't know fantasy ceramics that we can paint for adults I would love if they were more stuff that they would carry things to paint for adults
    Ordered a frame 2x3 feet too big to fit on the bus so picked delivery. They sent the wrong size. When I called they said I'd have to bring it in to return. Told them I couldn't get the right size back home. Too bad they said. Can't help you. Then I asked for a refund of the delivery charge. Oh they don't know if they do that.     I called Michael's to have an 11x14 photograph, that I printed, mounted on foam core. I have a frame. The manager in framing had no idea of the cost. I had to explain to her over and over what I wanted. I finally hung up. I'll do it myself or take it to a framer who knows framing.     Bead and craft junkies are at an all time high. I myself am into making jewelry and am still fairly new at it. So I shop for less expensive beads because, lets face it... Prices are outrageous for anything these days. When I find a place that gives back to my loyalty, and gives perks for all the money I spend, ( and I spend A LOT), Its rare and such a relief sometimes. But when I shop at Michaels, besides the occasional coupon, I save almost nothing at this store and they barely have sales that give me any kind of noticable relief.     I am terribly disappointed in Michaels. You advertise multiple tree available for immediate shipment back in the beginning of December but in actuality no such trees ever existed. There is no truth in advertising at Michaels nor is there any semblance of Customer Service - (the outright delivery lies promising delivery). Michaels also processed the credit card purchase when they knew they never shipped the tree. $50 is a paltry and insulting accommodation. There was no offer to provide an available replacement tree because you never had any trees that you advertised for immediate delivery. Don't disappoint yourself shop at HOBBY LOBBY!     Brought a $35 frame (11X14) home and while taking off the tags it broke. They would not return my money or exchange the frame. That is their policy they told me. So I left the POS with them.     You're short on what to do with the family on a sunday afternoon? Rainy day? Cant do barbecue? Got bored of scrabble or trivial pursuit? Well, here's the rub. Michales is a pretty good store with a variety of DIY projects you can undertake by yourself as a hobby or with a family for collective fun activities. Definitely a worthwhile destination. I dunno if they ship to all countries but even if you check their website you can find out and get some ideas. You can ask from friends who visit the us to bring you some stuff as a gift too i guess haha
    This company sent out a blast email stating fall items were 60% off plus an additional 20% off of the entire purchase. Then said "Sale ends tomorrow" So I went into the store to take advantage of the sale. The cashier told me she was unable to override the pricing because the sale wasn't coming up in their system. Which I didn't understand. I've worked in retail and you can manually calculate the price and override. I called customer service and they told me the text was a mistake. They have received several complaints and there is nothing they can do about it. I believe, the text was a way to get customers into their stores… and that's it. I've always shopped at Michael's but I don't like companies that operate this way. This is false advertisement and honestly it's very tacky.

    I purchased 8 glass mugs. I received 5 whole ones and 3 broken ones. Michael's web site does not have anyway to resolve broken items. When you call the 1 800 number they want to sell you something based on your age. I will never buy anything from Michael's again. All I wanted was what I paid my money to own.
