  • ShoeMetro Review

Other than a negative Yelp review I left for a chipped glass repair guy that ruined my windshield and cost me $647.00, I have never taken the time to leave a negative review for any business especially an online retailer... just not my style plus what kind of person has an hour to write a negative novel? I'll spare you all of that and stay unbiased but let me just say you should expect your experience to be like digging through 80% bin at a Ross Dress For Less except that you can't try the items on so it's a coin toss on getting the exact merchandise you ordered. Yes, they are very reasonable on prices so if you're okay with rolling the dice to buy shoes online then I hope you don't have the purchasing experience I did. Even the unfortunate customer service lady "Irene", who actually was very pleasant and helpful, had that "I know!-I'm sorry!-This company is terrible to work for too!" sound in her voice and I couldn't help but feel badly for her as well. Thanks for your help Irene, I really hope you find a terrific job soon, you deserve much more than that online chop shop... they are just flat-out awful every step of the way except for her.
I just paid a lot of money to return shoes To Shoe Meteo. There are so many other reputable stores that will allow free returns. Shoe Metro is NOT one of them. I suggest you purchase elsewhere.
I made an order, they said it was delivered on Saturday. I was home all day and never got it so I know they are lying. They said they ran out of stock so they can't replace it. I go online and they have the same items but for a higher price. If I had the time or energy I would report them to the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
Ive bought over 100 pairs of shoes(mostly women, many kids and some men)and i love everything about shoe metro... where did you go, i need to buy some shoes for the summer. Lots of shoes. I have many trips on the horizon. And i like looking brand new. Where are you? Love your shoes
To begin with I ordered a pair of Clark's sandals from Overstock.com. There is NOTHING Clark's about these, made of crappy cheap material, soles are not anything like Clark's. Everything abt these sandals is cheap. Clark's doesn't do cheap! These are KNOCK-OFFS for sure. All they did was stamp the Clarks name on these. They are such a disappointment. I cannot email or find on-line how to return this. After reading other reviews, I think it will be better to just throw them in the trash as this is where they belong. I will never order from them or from Overstock again as this is the 2nd time I have been screwed by a sub-contractor in connection with Overstock
I never complain, but this is just ridiuculous this company! I buy so many shoes, and never have had this issue! I returned the one pair of shoes, and I paid 12.95 shipping to send them back, out of my own pocket, so I expected to get the whole amount back right? WRONG! S They deducted 10+ dollars from my refund!~ So I emailed and let them know that I had paid the shipping to ship the shoes back. WELL, they emailed back, this is the policy! But I paid it! Not them, so they stol 10 dollars from me. So I will never shop there agin, and will tell others please steer clear, too many other great places, like 6PM.com and Online shoes. And have free returns.
I've ordered lots of shoes from Shoe Metro and on several occasions have had them ship me mens shoes rather than womens. I just called them on a pair of running shoes that just arrived that are mens, asking for a return label. Fortunately, they still have this in stock so I could pull it up on the computer and it's crystal clear they have made a mistake in the listing. I put in Womens, Athletic Shoes, the brand, my size... and this particular shoe that I ordered comes up in the listing. So, the agent gives me grief and tells me it is my mistake. SERIOUSLY? You load the shoe in the basket and nowhere in the listing does it say it is a mans or womans shoe to double-check. Plus, it shouldn't even surface in the search of womens products in the first place. The customer service agent tells me, "When you do a Google search, you don't get 100% of what you are looking for." Indeed... but this is not Google! This is a retail outfit. You guys screw up your listing and you blame the customer? This is 2016 -- technology is very capable of making your site easy to maneuver. Nordstrom does not ship me mens shoes, nor does Amazon. To the CEO: your bottom line and brand will do better to swiftly issue a postage return label rather that give the (very loyal who spends a lot) customer a lecture and a bunch of crap. Two stars for breadth of product and prices -- but half of the shoes are not going to fit you anyway, and when you factor in this type of customer service, not sure it is worth it to shop with them.
I have purchased at least 15 pairs of shoes and boots and have had ZERO problems with anything. You need to really take the time look through the shoes for your size but have spent less on 8 pairs of GREAT perfect boots than 1 pair at retail store.
I bought 6 pairs of shoes--4 knee length boots, one bootie and one pair of flats for $140! Brands like INC, BCBG, Bandolino and Carlos Santana. If you sign up for email you get 10% coupon. They aren't always the cheapest, but when they have sales you can find really amazing prices. It's a little tricky to buy shoes online, but so far my experience has been good.
I wish I had had the wherewithal to read these reviews before I ordered a pair of sneakers from Shoemetro. Despite the fact that the tongue of the sneaker literally became detached the SECOND time I put them on, Shoemetro wouldn't even EXCHANGE the defective pair bc it was 11 days past their 60 day return policy. Considering the lack of quality of their product, it has become clear to me why they have such an inflexible policy in place. Never again would I order anything from them and I strongly encouraged that you don't either. Extremely disappointing.
Never shop here. Just like jumping on the bed with scizzors its all fine until. You have to return some shoes! They don't do exchanges for a different size, you have to place a new order, mostly likely the price will have increased drasticly. They don't give you a return shipping label. On Amazon you can print out a return UPS shipping label, (the value of which is mostly likely half of what they charged you like 4.95 whereas they charged you 10), and AZ says that 4.95 will be deducted from your refund, no big deal cuz shoe metro wont refund ANY of the shipping you originally paid. If you buy a 19.00 pair of shoes, plus 9.99 shipping, you will only get 19 back, and you will pay shipping both ways (god forbid you use the regular post office cuz that will be over 12 dollars out of pocket). Now you getting the 19 dollars back is ONLY if you complain like 8 times! Cuz otherwise you just paid them 29 and 12 more to return, to TRY ON SHOES!
I have recently made 3 separate purchases on this website, totaling 7 pairs of shoes and 3 of the pairs have had defects. The first 2 I let slide because they were pretty minor, but the 3rd pair was absolutely ridiculous. The shoes clearly did not match! The website claims that they DO NOT sell defective or factory seconds, but this is a lie. When I emailed about this issue, they sent a return label, but did not indicate whether I was paying for this return shipping. When I asked them if I was, they never responded back. Now I will essentially lose $13 in shipping costs for something that was not my fault. I cannot help that I was sent defective shoes and therefore should NOT have to pay for the shipping. BUYER BEWARE.
I have gotten some terrific buys on this site but shopping with Shoe Metro requires some time and research. Warnings are as follows: Shipping charges can be steep so once you find a pair of shoes that interests you, due diligence is necessary. You will have to cross-check the shoes on other sites to determine that their prices are not cheaper (including the aforementioned shipping charges). Many of those sites contain reviews so you can find out if the shoes run big, small, fall apart, whatever. If you often find it difficult to fit shoes due to a physical problem with your feet or are very particular as to how your shoes fit or look, this is NOT your shoe site. Stick with the sites that offer free shipping/free returns even if you will pay more because you will not be satisfied with Shoe Metro. Even though I am sometimes hard to fit because of somewhat wide feet, I have two older daughters. One has slightly smaller feet than me and one has larger, wider feet so I can always offer shoes that are not quite right for me to them. Even when I have to send back, and/or donate the shoes that do not make it, these instances are more than offset by good buys on other items. For me, the site really shines when it comes to boots. You can set your parameters to include only real leather based goods. Once you are ready for "advanced shopping" on Shoe Metro you can get ridiculous buys in the Open Box category. Shopping in Open Box is not for the faint of heart as the shoes are non-returnable. The best plums are the Open Box new, never worn items. Here I can find leather boots selling sometimes for over one hundred dollars or more for about twenty dollars plus. Note that I carefully check the reported shoe condition; boots with broken zippers or other functional problems are a no go. Many of the boots have reported scuffs or cosmetic defects left by sticky price tags. I could care less that the shoe bottom had a sticky price tag on it or that the item has a few scuffs on it that I will get on the boot the first time I wear it. Please note that if you are choosing a light colored shoe or light leather boot that scuffs can become a big deal. Open Box pre-owned goods are really dicey and if the sole shows clear wear and the shoe looks beat up, pass it by. Many of these items should have been donated to charity as used goods and this is where the site breaks down. Always check your items as they are delivered. I once tossed a pair of boots in the back of my closet to find out two years later that I had been sent two left shoes! My daughter was particularly disappointed as she loved, loved the boots. Finally, be warned that this site can become addicting as they continually offer specials and new items always arrive in Open Box. Happy hunting!
. I purchased the boots to wear around but after two weeks the bottoms began to fall off. Very upset. I have to another one from vandresses.com
So... I love ordering shoes from this company. No complaints. I wish the shipping was less, but other than that, I love all of my shoes. I have purchased almost 20 pairs! Love each one! Designer shoes for less!
