I ordered a Japanese supplement and it came with the instructions in Japanese only. So I reached out to the customer service asking about the dosage. The answer was to google it. Dear Customer Support, I made several orders despite I had to deal with your imperfect website and lack of information on the products. I will definitely google up a more welcoming store with the same items.

Date of experience: January 2, 2023I ordered a box from Yami Buy with a lot of variety, including fragile items like glass bottles.
Everything arrived in a timely manner, (within three days) and it came in good condition with albeit very little packaging.
However, nothing was broken and I am excited to try some unique Asian snacks. From what I have tried so far, the sweet potato Kit Kats are a standout. Yami Buy exceeded my expectations with how quickly it arrived and the accuracy of the order, but they do need to work on their packaging for more fragile items.

Dear Customer,
"We apologize for any inconvenience.
Your order did not go through in our system.
We will refund you in 5-7 business days on your original payment method.
Thank you"
This happened with my wife and a friend also. Why do they bother having e-commerce? Go to justasianfood.com... no problems whatsoever!
Date of experience: September 14, 2020I attempted to buy from this site twice. Each time my order was cancelled because they claim they cannot verify my payment information. Yet money was taken from my card! So the takeaway is never to believe the deals they advertise. They tempt you to order, charge your card and always cancel your order after almost two weeks!
Date of experience: December 1, 2018Do not buy anything from this company! They only refunded my money after I filed a complaint with PayPal and also threatened to sue them. Until then, they told me the product that was charged but never received (over $130) was basically my problem and to take it up with the carrier. They told me I needed to file a claim with the carrier but did not give any info on the carrier. When I told them they needed to file a claim with the carrier because they hired the carrier, not me, they went silent - until I filed a complaint with PayPal and also told them I would sue. I just got my refund after a dozen emails to them. Never received the product. Awful company! Never doing business with them again.

Date of experience: May 24, 2023I have trouble finding the Japanese instant noodles that I love but I found them on Yamibuy. I was so happy with my first transaction that I reordered just now. I'm not sure why they get low reviews but I was very happy with my transaction. And the shipping time was much faster than expected. Two thumbs up.

Date of experience: May 25, 2023I would give the company 0 star if I could. I purchased some "flower cakes" a few days ago, knowing that the expiration date is August 4,2024. My son and I ate 2/3 of cakes yesterday before I saw the mold inside. I immediately posted a review on the product listing, attached a photo of the moldy cake and asked people not to buy it. I then emailed the customer service.
I've been having stomach cramps since last night!
The customer service replied today and here is the response: sorry for the inconvenience. We issued a refund for the product. I cannot believe they downplayed the issue so shamelessly! It's a lot more than an "inconvenience". It is a food safety issue and a food poisoning case!
I then checked the product listing and it's still being sold. I also realized that I can only see my review when I log into their app or website. My friends and other people cannot see it. I cannot believe Yami hid my review and is still selling the product!
I will never purchase from Yamibuy again! Please stay away from it!

Date of experience: February 3, 2024I decided to dye my hair last minute and bought Blackpink Jennie's Sahara Hello Bubble red dye and I'm super glad I bought it from Yami!
First review, Yami's platform sells lots of cool asian products from food to beauty and it's super easily accessible on their app.
Second review, the dye that I got worked pretty well I'd say. I have part bleached and the color showed pretty well. I would buy again!
Third review is for customer service. I actually received a call and few texts from the person who was delivering my package and he was so accommodating and made sure I got it since I wasn't at home!
