When you search for Dr Phillips performing arts center tickets sales on Google, the first link to that title is actually the "boxofficeticketsale" and you had to have noticed the url that it went to. They misrepresented themselves and then charged my 477 dollars for 2 tickets that should have been 70 dollars. When I called them back to cancel they got ugly and tried blaming me for being stupid enough to give them my card details and would not refund my money. All the federal, state, county, and city offices are closed today but I will be contacting them all tomorrow. This is a scam! I'm going to post this scam all over social media to expose this company!

While he looked them.uo I proceeded to ask a question to which he replied, the ticket are 100 dollars would you like to buy them now. I said that was kind of rude. He said if I don't want tixkets he needs to free up the line. I simply said you ignored my questio. To which he repeated his question. Bye. This is 2025 service. Sad but it will come back to this company and many others.

First, he said he gave me incorrect info on where the row was. I corrected him. Second, his prices were ridiculous. Third, he pushes hard and quicker than a bad car-salesman. Forth, and why I am writing this...Asked if these would do it for me and I replied "Well, no because---" He hung up. I called back and got him and said so that's what you do? And he said "will you didn't want our tickets so I going to do it again." And did. Now I seem to be BLOCKED! Their message states that the won't tolerate any disrespect. They need to add that they will disrespect any caller that doesn't immediately say he will buy the tickets. Hope you read this...if you didn't hang up on me the first time, I may have got tickets for different seats.

Got to the gate and the venue scanned my "tickets" and let me know they were invalid and already used! I called BoxOffice Ticket sales and they apologized for this and said they are a third party and do not actually sell the tickets? No refund for me and didn't get to see the concert after driving an hour there. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. I should have known better.

The venue didn't accept their tickets, as they were not a direct purchase from the real companies website. When I called the fraudulent company "box office sales", the man who answered said the same speech I'm certain he says a million times a day "I'm a broker from Miami" and hung up the call immediately before I could speak. Con artist. Scammer. I have since disputed the charge on my credit card and filed a BBB complaint.

My 5 yr old has more education than those people working for Box office. It is because of us the customers these people have jobs. Smh
Tip for consumers:Please train your employees in customer service, they are extremely rude. I do not like to write reviews but man, rudeness at its best with your company- prompted me to write a review. I would not give Box office employees any stars if possible. Again retrain your employees in customer service please.

Date of experience: March 1, 2024Horrible customer service. I asked clear questions about what the service fees were and Seth, the representative on the phone, was highly irritated and hung up on me. When I called back, he realized it was me again and hung up again. When my mom called, she was also hung up on. The call says each one is recorded and I hope that this company reviews the log from the 3 calls between 11:45 am (ET) to 12:06 pm (ET) on 1/26/2024 because this is unacceptable. I would highly discourage the use of this business based on my experience.

Date of experience: January 26, 2024We bought tickets for State Street Ballet on 8 October 2023 for a performance on 16 December 2023. The e-mail response told us that we had tickets and they would be available on 15 December. On 15 December we received a phone call and the agent told us that there was an issue (not explained) and our tickets were not available. How do you explain this to three granddaughters and three great granddaughters? The agent said tickets were available for the following night but we had conflicts.
How, on 8 October, can they tell us we have tickets and then on 15 December, the day before the event, tell us we don't? Explain this failure on your part to our girls that have new dresses just for the event!

They were very rude I spent over $800 on tickets and the venue did not have any record of my purchase! When questioned about this I was give a runaround that was made to make me feel better… it made me feel like I was getting robbed! They said only I could see my tickets? But I can't get them yet? I couldn't get access to them but they could have my money? At a markup as well! I found this place by accident but it was a terrible thing! I was getting more and more frustrated with each time I called! And they denied me to speak to a supervisor! And told me that they can hang up whenever! That I did not understand! I understand that in your mind you can have my money but I have to wait on your word? No that's not how things are done!

Date of experience: December 20, 2023First, the good: I received tickets that actually worked, and as promised, were not the tickets I ordered but were better seats. The Bad: I ordered these at Christmas and everything I received stated a delivery date of 3/13, the day before the performance. 3/13 came and went. Numerous phone calls to customer service assured me the tickets would arrive before midnight on the 13th. I called the day of the performance, as soon as customer service opened, and was told yes there is a delay but I would get them by 2pm. At this point I had no confidence they would arrive, but they did, around 1:45. So it all worked out, but incredible stress to spend 900 on tickets and have to travel 3 hours to NYC, and you have no tickets the day of the event. Judging by other reviews and conversations with their customer service, this scenario is not unusual. Not going to use them again, but grateful for wonderful tickets to the opera.

Date of experience: February 21, 2024Arrived at venue box office to scan tickets for the show and found that there were no tickets. They had sent two sets of tickets for different show. We had to purchase tickets on the spot to see the show. Contacted BOTS and they refused a refund, stating that they had retracted the tickets and sent us an e-mail stating so. We never received this notice. They said that our complaint was irrelevant and hung up on me. As noted in many complaints, we thought that we were buying ticket from the venue's ticket office. Fees were NOT disclosed up front. NEVER DO BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

Date of experience: March 22, 2024Purchased two tickets to Morgan Wallen in Nashville, travelled from Ontario. Getting on plane I injured my knee, and fell. I could not walk after this. The Airport staff was able to place me in a wheelchair, the Taxi and hotel staff were very helpful and compassionate. Overnight my leg got worse and we had to book an earlier flight home. I am still usable to walk. I request a refund on my tickets and there response was, no. Great customer service. All of this has been incredibly depressing and trying. No compassion, no explanation, nothing!

They shipped out tickets today through FedEx who are known to delay packages all the time. They don't even overnight them. They sent them 2 day air which will arrive sometime Thursday in Mississippi which is the day we are flying out to Las Vegas. I have no idea why they do not send the tickets out electronically like every other service like theirs. It is absolutely ridiculous and will likely be missing this show because of these morons.

I ran out of options when they would not at least compromise so My only option is to warn of the terrible customer service, the inflated service fees and genuine hate I have for this company. Find another legit forum for your business

I was absolutely terrified after reading reviews…not only did I get my tickets two days prior as they stated, I also got upgraded to front row seats. Any time I had a question or was having extreme anxiety about the purchase being fraudulent, they responded immediately via chat and email as well to reassure me my tickets were legit. We had an absolute blast. The only crappy part was having anxiety after reading all of the crappy reviews. The best part of it all was scoring front row seats for 175 a piece (which were initially being sold at 400+ per ticket)

Buyers make sure you are buying directly from the theatre. They also charged far more than the most expensive seats. Again, I'm embarrassed I fell for it.

Charged double the ticket price plus service fees, delivery fees. Over two hundred over face value. When I discovered what had happened I immediately tried to reach out to these crooks and could not reach them.

They sold me 3 seats for $2900 with access to a vip lounge. I'm at a concert I don't want to hang out in some lounge, thanks though. I told them I wanted the exact details of what these vip passes included. They called me back after the credit card was no longer pending and told me basically to piss off. Their customer service is horrible. Filled with rude people repeating themselves over and over. This company is equivalent to the phone scammers that take advantage of the elderly. For $960 a seat you should be front row not 40 rows back. Do yourself a favor and never waste your time or money with these scumbags.
Date of experience: November 20, 2019My family bought tickets to a Journey Concert that was scheduled to happen this year, but for obvious reasons, was cancelled. My mom mistakenly called them rather than Ticketmaster and told her she had row 10 tickets for five people, which you can imagine, is a lot of money. We've been calling them for the past 3 months straight demanding a refund and all they tell us is to check our email.
Please, if you're reading this, stay as far away from these scammers as you can. I'm hoping someday we'll get our refund, but in a way the pandemic saved us from going to the concert and not getting in because the tickets were fake. I would have never wanted my grandma, who just became cancer free and that concert was her treat, to have experienced such a horrible thing. These people are inhumane, do not support them.

I called the customer service line and emailed the company. I spoke with two very professional, sympathetic representatives that reassured me that our tickets out arrive. The day before the concert, we received our tickets via email! Thank you all! Ps. This is a legit review.
