Art.com Review
The product I got was digitally stretched vertically out of proportion. It does NOT match the website or the original artwork. When I complained, they said it matches and they expect me to pay for return shipping. Spent $450 and got something that I cannot live with. What a waste of time and money!

Date of experience: October 9, 2024I bought two prints from art.com, despite bad reviews, because it literally is the only company that has the prints I needed for two gifts. Why is this company packaging in flimsy triangular boxes instead of hard drawing tubes?! The prints arrived--as many reviews warned they would--bent, misshapen, and terribly and probably irreparably dinged. I'm hoping with some ironing and framing, they won't be too noticeable, but this kind of package and shipment is unacceptable for a company whose primary business is shipping prints! If you can order from ANYWHERE else, do. UPDATE: Customer service was very helpful and they are sending replacements. Fingers crossed! I will update the review if they are not damaged!
Tip for consumers:Don't buy from them if you have any other options.

Date of experience: September 12, 2024We spent $200.00 on art work. All the prints were low quality. They were wrinkled beyond fixing and had major dented areas. It wasn't at all what they described it to be. Super disappointed! Will never buy or recommend them!
Tip for consumers:Do not get scammed into buying from them.

Date of experience: March 14, 2024Here was my email to them. I received no response at all.
This was my first time ordering from you and I am sorry to say I will probably not order again. I think it is important to hear feedback.
I like the print but for the price the attention to detail and quality of the finished product is not there. There is a thread stuck inside that is pretty visible, there is a gap between the acrylic and the frame that is pretty noticeable and the frame itself has a chunk out of the wood that was painted over. If this was a $50 product I could look past these things. I am keeping it on my wall because it is my bedroom and only I can see these things for the most part, but you should make sure your end product is higher quality for the price point Sorry for the negative message but repeat business is important to you I would think.
Date of experience: April 15, 2024Suggest you read the return policy carefully. You pay shipping. Also, my return refund will be in about TEN days, not 3-5 business days - called them & my return still received Monday. Today is Friday & its not checked in yet. It's been there 5 days. She's "gonna speed it up for me"..
Tip for consumers:Must pay for shipping to return items. Refunds takes a while.

Date of experience: July 28, 2023Two pictures were not as I had thought I ordered. There is a difference between different types of art such as print, giclee printing, etc. So you need to be very careful to know which option you are looking at. On the site, that was not clear to me. One expensive picture i ordered the colors are way, way off and it looks terrible. Although will say the frame was nice. So two of my three ordered items I wanted to return, and the return process online takes you nowhere it's a loop process back to the same ineffective page. I wrote customer service, and the only reply I received was an automated one, that asked how my experience was. The chat bot does not work! So basically I'm a stranded customer at this point.
Tip for consumers:Don't order from them

Date of experience: September 28, 2023I ordered a framed picture and it arrived with broken glass. It was not bubble wrapped although I paid $50 for shipping. I contacted them and they offered either a refund or another picture. I opted for another picture but asked that they bubble wrap it. They did not and it arrived broken. They will not give me a refund unless I mail it back to them at my expense. Do not buy from this company.

Date of experience: February 1, 2024I am really disappointed in the artwork I received from ART.com. The quality of the print is poor. Online the prints look really good, however the prints I received were grainy and visible. This distracted from the artwork. Even though it was framed well, the framing material is cheap. I think the artwork you get from Kohl's or someplace similar is of better quality and I'm not just saying this, I am sincere. I've attached proof of purchase.
Tip for consumers:Art.com states that no refund will be given unless there is damage or non-conformity. Who decides what non-conformity means? This vagueness means that art.com can decide that their art work conforms and therefore no refund will be given. In order to decide if it conforms or not you must return the art. Once art.com reviews, and if they decide that it 'conforms' they will return it to you at your cost. Most likely that means that the consumer will not receive a refund.

Date of experience: January 26, 2024I have ordered 2 framed prints. Delivery was fine, condition of frame good, but in both cases pictures are far darker than on the web site. In one case, almost too dark. Details seen on the site are not noticeable in the prints. Disappointing.
Date of experience: October 14, 2023Do not use this scam company their product and their service is nothing but a sham they keep asking me for more characters before I'm allowed to post this. So I'll just say worst customer service. Worst product do not use. Do not use. Do not use. Stay away
Date of experience: December 13, 2023I purchased a 30x36 framed print. I love the selection but paid $200+ for this print and the hanger on the back on the framed print was so off center. For the price of these framed prints that should be quality checked prior to shipment. It caused me much effort to make it work and it was so unnecessary.

Date of experience: August 14, 2023I purchased a print for a gift. I did not open it. After the item was opened, it was discovered it was too big. Upon my notification of it not fitting, I tried to return it, only to be told I was responsible for shipping. When I received the print I noticed the print was blurry and terrible quality. I had to pay $63.00 to return it! Do not buy from them!

Date of experience: November 29, 2023I bought a large, framed, canvas print for $350 back in October, 2022. Just 5 months later, all edges of the frame have separated. I contacted customer service and they quickly responded that we are outside the 45 day window and I can't return it. I didn't want to return it, but was hoping they would give some suggestions. I will not be ordering from them again and should have checked reviews before I ordered in the first place. Don't make the same mistake I made - there are many other good, reputable companies out there.

Date of experience: March 15, 2023I ordered a framed, 30" x 40" canvas piece from Art.com early in Jan '21. My order arrived 12 days later. It was packaged well and easy to install with the included the hardware. It looks very nice on our bedroom wall (see photo). It also has a nice frame.
Tip for consumers:There is some build/assembly time for the artwork that extends the "ship time" a bit.

Date of experience: December 18, 2019I decided to order 4 pieces to brighten a room. All are being sent separately. #1 was a wrapped canvas. It arrived scratched and badly placed on the stretcher, also a much duller print than the pic online. Called to return: they said "here's your refund; dispose of the canvas as you wish." Print 2 arrived: a large trimmed piece of mat was trapped inside the frame. Another refund. "Don't bother to return it." Who knows what the other 2 prints will be like? What a bizarre business model that allows terrible craftsmanship and that gives refunds without having goods returned. They know their products are trash. They're just hoping you don't notice!
Date of experience: April 11, 2022I should have read reviews before buying. I waited over a month for what was supposedly an in stock item only to be told a month later they are cancelling my order. That is so wrong on so many levels.

Date of experience: September 26, 2021I've order from Art.com before and my print was bent but, I didn't say anything. Their return policy says " Absolutely free returns: No questions, no drama". This time I ordered two prints ruined in the mail (again) my order was almost $30. Since I ordered the prints I moved and now didn't have a place for them. I submitted photos on line for refund and said I didn't want them replaced, just refund. They send me refund of $18, $6 of which was shipping! I won't do business with them again. Be forewarned Incase you think you might need to send them back. You won't get your money back. I'm not happy. Bad way to do business!
Date of experience: September 25, 2020Over the years I have purchased many custom framed pieces of art from this company and their workmanship has always been excellent. It sensed that maybe the company had been sol as they no longer offered sales but didn't expect anything to be drastically different
I purchased a print on canvas and was shocked when I received it. The piece was sloppily stapled on the frame and a cheap sawtooth hanger was attached to the top, unlike the wire they've always used. I wound up keeping the piece, fo my regret, because it had taken me so long to find what I needed but every time I look at it, it just looks so cheap. I know I will replace soon. I surely will not buy from them again.

Date of experience: November 8, 2021I placed an order and they ran my card 3 times, when I called to inform them they told me the other charges would drop off once my items shipped. Unacceptable, these 2 other charges should immediately be reversed.
Date of experience: July 3, 2019I ordered 3 large posters which came to about 100$. Had to pay customs coming into Canada before Fedex would release them and then they were dropped off outside my door with the box pretty crushed at one end and posters too creased to hang. Although it wasn't exactly art.com's fault, except for the flimsy packaging, I didn't think I'd get any help from them based on all the bad reviews. I was pleasantly surprised though with the prompt customer service I got from Marley after contacting them by email. My posters were replaced and I didn't have to wait too long for them. It seems the business is run with a lot of automated communication, but you can reach a human when needed. They are selling pretty reasonably priced prints and it was the only shop where I could find all the prints that I wanted. Am happy it worked out.
Date of experience: September 5, 2021I have ordered quite a few items from Art.com with mixed results. Most of the items were fantastic (very vivid lush colors printed on thick quality paper), but some were shockingly amateurish (blurry and faded colors on cheap, thin and frustratingly warped paper.
It's interesting how many reviews I read that complained about the customer service. When I needed to return items, I was treated with professionalism, courtesy and respect. In fact, they said I wouldn't need to return the item at all while providing a full refund. This is why I keep going back; this type of Rockstar customer service makes me feel much more confident about ordering images I love.
Tip for consumers:Just treat the representatives with patience and respect and I believe you will be pleased with the outcome.

Date of experience: April 25, 2021I wrote a 2-star review about art.com last week after getting no response from an email to their customer service about a return/refund request (their on-site "initiate a return" function does not work). I am very happy to say that, after one week, I got a response via email from art.com customer service with instructions to apply for a return or refund. I followed instructions, spoke on the phone with a return specialist and followed that up with a second email to *******@art.com containing my photos of my item, and within minutes, I kid not, a response came and then refund was approved. I am very positively impressed (;^)) and now write this positive review.
Summing it up -- I think art.com prints are good quality (in retrospect they often sell different versions of the same print with different color palates and I should have studied them more carefully); shipping packaging is great and protective, customer service is great though initial email response can be slow around the Holidays, their in-website "initiate a return" function does not work and instead one should phone them for good service *******143), and their framing is ok but not great quality -- but overall, with the free shipping, art.com products are a good deal and customer service is great.

Date of experience: January 5, 2024I had an issue with their contract shipper (FedEx) who failed to honor my vacation hold set up on the FedEx account manager, lied about the delivery being made during the vacation hold, although we could see the package on the front step via our security camera, and refused to pick up the merchandise even though they were not supposed to have delivered it. Art.com responded immediately to my complaint with a full credit on the cost of shipping my order. Couldn't ask for a better outcome, although FedEx should be making amends, not Art.com.
Date of experience: August 6, 2016My recent order was processed and sent quickly. It was framed well and arrived in great condition. But I was less than impressed with the quality of the giclee print. It was slightly blurry.Other print I have ordered have been fine. So maybe just a fluke?
Easy web-site to navigate, but I am uncomfortable with their constant coupon discounts... hard to know what the real price is from the "sale" price.
Date of experience: November 10, 2013We paid over $400.00 for a framed print (acrylic not glass). After just over a year, it's formed large, extremely visible bubbles beneath the print. The art is not exposed to either heat or cold, nor is it in direct sunlight. We reached out to Art.com, given their 100% satisfaction guarantee, but was told that's only valid for 60 days. Be warned.
Tip for consumers:They will not guarantee their work after 60 days. Art should last longer than 2 months.
