I've purchased a TV Stand from Henn&Hart (Or Cymax, which is the same company)
The lid was damaged and some of the screws were missing. Upon contacting them, they failed to communicate with me, refused to deliver the missing pieces and didn't even tell me the dimensions of the screws so I can buy them myself.
This is outrageous, customer service is pretty much non existent. Avoid at any cost.

Date of experience: April 11, 2023Cymax sent me the wrong color ottoman. They said I could return it for a refund but it would cost me $209. To return it. So what is the point? This is not a fair return policy. Now I'm stuck with an ottoman than doesn't match my chair. I will never order from them again. I recommend looking at Wayfair. They have an amazing return policy.

Date of experience: November 6, 2023Purchased a bar table and 3 chairs through Amazon from Cymax. Arrived, opened and saw minor scrape about 5" across front of table face. Just before Christmas, so after Christmas, reached out to Amazon to send it back. Company wouldn't refund originally until I got Amazon involved. However, they issued a refund, had to fight to get a return label. They would not pay for it. This was a 125lb box and they requested a picture of the damage. The box was repacked and taped. They refused to issue the refund I had to pay, of $297 shipping. The stupid table was only $400. I have been fighting with them and Amazon for over 2 months and no one will do anything.
Tip for consumers:Don't purchase from Amazon through a third party seller. Amazon will not assist.

Today a month later one of three pieces show up the others pending. What does that mean? The price may be tempting but trust me buy somewhere else they will drag you on forever with no answers. 2 of the items delivered with significant damage, no phone number to call, it takes them weeks to get back to you via email. They provide wrong order statuses and invalid shipping info. Trying to get a refund without any luck at this point

They advertised a set of ART FURNITURE white chairs for $550, to be shipped in 1 week. 3 months later they sent 1 brown chair and made me jump through all kind of hoops to return their own mistake, threatening with my money they kept illegally.
I will report their practices to other platforms. DO NOT USE THEM. A COMPLETE SCAM.

Date of experience: June 30, 2023I ordered 4 bar stools which was 2 items since they came as pairs. I received 1 pair but the other item received was a reclining chair. Only way to contact them is by email and claim they will respond in 24 - 48 hours. After a week they gave me another email address which was VP of operations. Still no response. Do not buy anything from this company.

There is no customer service person to talk to, they ask you to send an email, but no one answers it and they give yoou the running around. Ive sent so many emails already and they are ignoring me. IT IS A SCAM! Do not buy anything from this company!

Date of experience: February 16, 2022I ordered a couch through Cymax with estimated delivery being only two weeks away it seemed like a good deal. Fast forward a month and I still have no couch. There is no way to contact them other than email. They respond with vague responses that do not solve anything. I've been on and off the phone with Metropolitan who handles their shipping and that has been a disaster in itself. Overall this has been a terrible experience and I encourage no one to buy from this company. Cymax is an absolute disgrace.

Bought a mirror that needed returning and they charged 1/2 cost of mirror in return fees- PLUS shipping - highway robbery - who does that? What kind of customer service company does that?

Date of experience: June 21, 2016I ordered an Atlantic Nantucket coffee table through Cymax. It was extremely poorly designed. The dowels did not fit one of the holes and splintered the wood of the side panel when tightened. Unfortunately, once assembled, products can't be returned. I'm stuck with a damaged coffee table.

Never received the dresser due to the warehouse delivery hours and inconsistencies with trying to arrange a delivery. Cymax said I refused or decided to return the package and I'm responsible for return and restocking fees which is over $200. Claims have been filed with Amazon. Stay away from this shipper. No wonder they stay in business, you never get it but they still make money off of you! Amazon needs to remove them all together!
Date of experience: February 27, 2020I bought a patio from this outfit. They gave a false description of a small patio table I ordered. I requested return instructions for the item via my order page. When I didn't hear from them, I contacted Amazon Pay as I had used Amazon as my payment source. Cymax has charged me an $18 restocking fee, $10 delivery charge, and I had to pay $43 for return postage on a $99 table. Very sleazy company selling cheap junk that they no doubt get for free!

I have had nothing but brain damage trying to get the small part sent to me. Customer Service is inept. All I can say to shoppers on eBay that are considering buying something from them is to stay away!

Date of experience: October 10, 2016I ordered patio furniture for my pool area from Cymax on 6/14, received an email from them that it shipped on 6/16. After the tracking number did not work and no other communication I had to make numerous calls to them, the delivery company, freight companies and finally the furniture manufacturer only to find out my order has been sitting in a warehouse in CA since 6/26 waiting to be picked up. It is now 7/20 and I have yet to receive any correspondence with a new tracking number or any hope that my furniture will be delivered before the New England summer is over. I will never order from this company again, the customer has to do all the work! They had no problem charging my credit card $4000 immediately but have been in no rush to get me my order.

We ordered a Murphy Bed, which arrived damaged. Called Cymax to let them know about the damage. We were put in touch with their Customer Service
Agent, Cassandra Schaefer, who handled our issues efficiently and pleasantly. Cassandra had a new bed shipped to us, which arrived quickly, and helped us with removing the broken bed as well. We are very happy with our purchase, and the service, and our thanks to Cassandra for a job well done.
