Once they paid me, I had second thoughts. I had felt that this was a decent firm, and they responded to chat messages and emails, but proceed with caution. They only made the initial payment until they won my trust and convinced me to make additional investments. It's a huge scam when they stop paying and stop responding to emails or chats. I finally received a refund of my losses from M E R S E Y H I P. COM they are definitely worth checking out
Date of experience: January 16, 2025I placed an order for some holiday items a couple of weeks before Christmas. First, my order was delayed and wouldn't be received by Christmas even though holiday delivery was GUARANTEED. Next, I received a series of emails stating that several of the items were cancelled - even though the website shows all items as still available > :(. I wish I had had read more reviews before ordering and saved my time. At least I "saved" my money when the items were cancelled. Lousy service, would not recommend, will not shop with them again.

Date of experience: December 22, 2024I've been a customer for 20 years. I only buy my clothes here and I loved it. The last couple of years the quality has gone so cheap. Clothes with holes. Can't even wash them or they will be ruined. I have to find a new place to shop. I am done.

Purchased with representing from online customer service on a Monday morning assured it would be next day. Waited all day for tracking to update. Here it is two days later and just shipped. Terrible don't buy from loft. Their service and quality has gone down hill anyway. Only bought since person wanted that item as a gift.
Date of experience: June 27, 2023I am so frustrated with my request to cancel an order. I attempted to cancel order immediately but there was no one available to take my request via phone or text. My call was at 7:00 am 9-24-23. Was told via voice message & text they were not available till 10:00 am. I called when they were available that cancellation needed to occur within 60 minutes of purchase. They did email me a label to return item once received. The item had not shipped & was still in processing. I also emailed & texted customer service several times & got the same response. This is totally ridiculous. I have been a long time Loft customer. Date of experience: September 25, 2023After calling multiple times about items noted to be pending, and being told it would be escalated- today they cancelled those items. When checking the website the items are available.
So I guess the way the escalated it was to cancel the order just to make me go away!
Terrible customer service!
Finally got it resolved after hours on the phone.
Never did get a call or email from a manager as I was promised.

Date of experience: January 30, 2024I have been a long time customer of the loft. First shopping in their stores and then doing most of my shopping online when I moved to an area that did not have a brick and mortar store to shop in.
The last few purchases I have made happen delayed and shipping, and the customer service representatives. I'm not being very helpful.
My very last order half of it was canceled with no communication to me. When I asked why, they told me that the inventory was low for that particular product. When I went back out to the website, my size was still showing as available. So I asked the rep what that was and she had no answer. Most of her responses were single sentences that were not helpful or two words… Thank you…Not helpful!

“FINAL SALE ITEMS NOT REFUNDED. YOUR MONEY GONE”

I bought online final sale items. The sizes are not perfect try to return or exchange or store credit. They are not giving anything very frustrating and disappointing and store lady is talking very rudely at cool springs tn. Very disappointed. Not getting my money back or store credit or not even exchange. I hate loft policy. Try to change your policy you are taking people's money. I BOUGHT IT ONLINE NOT IN THE STORE. How do you know the quality or color or material. Never ever buy final sale items online. Hope this one helpful.
Tip for consumers:Don't buy final sale items at store or online you won't get any refund. Not even exchange your money gone even if the size is not suitable for you. If you want your money the loft store told us sell them somewhere.

Date of experience: September 24, 2023I visited LOFT in the methuen area looking for a nice dress to wear to a wedding. All the workers at the register were more invested in to the baby that was in there and completely ignored all customers. I wondered around the store clueless until a young nice lady approached me and asked me if I needed any help I told her I was fine but thank you for being the only one who acknowledged me and left with nothing. I guess the workers conversations were more important then the job. Loft needs to hire better people.

Until the were purchased a few years ago they had amazing FINAL sales.
They now are borderline deceptive about the amount of an item.
You'll see 30% off price as marked.
Prior to being deceitful, 30% off price marked meant and additional 30% off the price marked in the FINAL sale category.
The clothing is not classy anymore.
Due the lack of variety in clothing and the lack of great sales I will move my clothing purchases to GAP

Date of experience: September 27, 2023Sizing is way off. Everything I ordered n my size was way too big. They submit a new order and charge you for the new item and give you a label to send the item back for free. The item that is headed back takes for ever to arrive. Who know how long it will be to get my money back. As things stand right now it has been 2 weeks, I don't have any of the 3 items that I have paid double for.
Date of experience: August 7, 2023The worst Customer service, I received a damaged sweater, a thread detached from the sleeves and a stain on the back of the sweater. I told them about the problem and they told me to send it back to them so they could inspect it and tell them to determine what it was. It was not damaged enough, they were going to send it back to me and I told them that if they gave me a discount I would keep it to send it to be fixed and they told me that the only thing they could do was give me an electronic certificate for $10 dollars That was the help they offered me, I'm not the one who send the damaged item to the customer, they sent me a defective product. I really don't recommend them. They don't care about the inconveniences they cause to buyers.

The girl at the front cashier was help ful but (unnecessarily) commnented on my "older age" and seemed to be an expert (even though she was barely 20). Sorta a snipity, back handed compliment. It was rude and uncalled for.
Will never shop here again.
Date of experience: January 1, 2024I ordered a pair of slacks according to Loft's own size chart and my own measurements taken right before I placed the order. The pants I received were big enough for two people my size to fit into! Then the online return policy "did not recognize" my order number so I had to go back and forth with an online helper. If the other reviews are any indication, I am not optimistic about the return/refund process. These sales tactics are simply bizarre, do they just think we will just say "oh well" and forget about our hard-earned money being wasted? Very disappointing.
Date of experience: September 13, 2019A light hanging from the ceiling fell on my head while I was shopping at the West Paces Ferry Loft. The sales people had no knowledge of procedures. They have continued to put me off for 1 1/2 years. Now they say legally they don't have to do anything. How is that for customer service. I have a gash in my head - it would have literally killed someone older. Won't shop at that kind of store again.

Date of experience: October 28, 2022Loft has an unbelievably bad return policy for items purchased online - 30 days from the date of 'order', orders which take 2 weeks to receive. I got stuck with some things 2 years ago and have never ordered from them again. Fortunately I finally realized how affordable Nordstrom's can be when are shop sales. Far superior quality and a superb return policy. Wish I'd known sooner.

Not! I've been on the phone now for almost 50 minutes. Their staff should be better trained to do simple tasks such as exchanges.

I'll never order from loft ever again. My money spends everywhere!

You (Loft) seriously need to fire your entire IT department and get one that can handle real time inventory. Other companies do it with ease. You've lost my business.

So it's a scam to get you to shop. Wasted my time for sure.

West Branch outlet stores closed and was not notified, went to return merchandise and store closed, now I have only a few days to return clothes otherwise they won't take them back. Closest outlet mall is over 100 miles away.

Placed online orders for 2 items that were not in my size In store. Two weeks later and said items still haven't shipped! Called customer service - several times - and after getting the same canned speech was told they "estimate" delivery tomorrow so can't "look into it" till then. Well if it's due here tomorrow and is still "processing" then clearly I'm not getting my merch tomorrow! Awful!

But when you go an return something they make you pay 7.95 for each order returned- even if your item costs the same or less! No exceptions! Of course not advertised until you try to return! Even when you do not have a store within two hours of your location! HORRIBLE. Never again will I purchase. I really like their clothing but sorry, your penny pinching of customers is bad form. If I could give 0 stars I would.
Tip for consumers:If you buy online, expect you are paying if you have to return. Given that their sizing is not consistent and that items do not appear the same as photos, you are in for a gamble for sure. Go to the store but don't shop online!!

Date of experience: January 12, 2021I've been awaiting a return to process from LOFT for weeks. I get that it's the holidays but I figured I'd reach out and inquire via their Chat option to find out the status of my return and hopefully have it processed soon (the tracking from my return label, too, tracks and confirms that they have had the item for quite some time). Yet, the customer service agent I spoke to was downright rude and condescending to me for merely asking questions such as time frame. Baffling that a company would allow a rep to speak to a customer like that! My questions could have easily been answered and/or resolved...but that's not anywhere close to the customer service treatment I received.
Wondering now if I'll ever get my money returned. I'll certainly never shop here again after that experience.
Tip for consumers:Don't bother with the Chat option. You are better off calling or going to the store in person.
