Lesson learned. I went back to Jst4HookUp Which is a legit site, I used to have dates through them before the lockdown. I have never felt more wronged than when dealing with Match. It is not a legit site. Obviously all women are being paid a commission, that's why all other forms of contact are blocked. No woman would talk on a free platform. They always make something up when it comes to a real meeting. Just avoid Match at all costs, you will do your wallet and your heart a big favor! Service
I met Bruno 3 years ago. He has schizophrenia and bipolar disorder and narcissistic tendencies. He mentally and physically abused me and was charged with 5 counts of assault. He also verbally and sexually abused me and treated me with complete disrespect. This man is very sick and dangerous. He appears to be charming and friendly but he is not. Please ladies do not engage or get involved with this man He will hurt you and destroy you. I added his picture.
I was overcharged 75.49, so far and tried to contact via phone number listed on bank site but only outgoing message *******161. Followed prompts to leave email but when hit submit it dumped me completely from site. Think this site only wants money with absolutely no support for customers. Haven't even had time to determine if profiles are legitimate as I too was told the match I tried to contact was removed. Something really wrong here and the total lack of support is BIG RED FLAG. I have never left a bad review on any site giving the company a chance to help but they don't offer any real help just the circle runaround. You have been warned. Service Value Quality
I need to figure out where to begin. Three months ago, my purse got stolen, including my phone and everything else, including my wallet. I ended up having to get a new phone and number to be on the safe side. I didn't update my new phone number on Match. They wanted me to verify and log in using my phone # I put my new number in, and that was six weeks ago. They won't let me log in. I tried several times to contact them through their email for help, but I have yet to succeed. I tried live chat, but nobody was there. They don't have a contact number. I paid for a three-month subscription. Today, they deducted another three-month subscription from my bank despite my emails that I can't log in and want to cancel my subscription. The bank put a stop payment on the money. I'm done with online dating. I've had too many dating sites scam me. Never again. The photo is attached to prove I can't log in all the while they are charging me. Then, they took my money for another three months. UPDATE: Match terminated me for life for absolutely nothing. This was the same day they deducted another three months from my bank account, took my money, and blocked me. I'm very upset about this. All I wanted to do was meet someone special.
I set my profile to Hidden, so no one could see me unless I clicked "like" on their profile. I did this for real and important security reasons. Match changed my settings to "everyone can view profile." They did that, I assume, so they have more people to show on their "Discover" feature. I found out about this only when I started getting Likes from men whose profiles I had not approved. This happened to a friend, too. We are both older women, with good reasons to want privacy. I think Match gets more male members than female, and they "unhide" profiles on purpose. This is shameful, dishonest, and potentially dangerous. Avoid this website! Tip for consumers:Poorly managed. Dishonest company. Service Value Quality
I have been on Match for a short time, and have already encountered many issues with the app. Some of them are annoying, some really concerning. First, the app seems to be designed to up-sell services. When you sign up for basic service, you have seemingly infinite access to "discovery" (which is flipping through available, presumably edited, profiles). But that doesn't last. After some weeks on the site, you are allowed a limited number of views before it closes down. The message comes up that you have to wait for your next set of matches. But you can upgrade to boost you profile, and views, for a fee! I am constantly offered upgrades. I can pay for "super likes" (this service was offered while I was viewing a profile that was too good to be true, and which I suspect was just a fake, presented as bait), primary placement during high-view hours, etc. It's ridiculous and annoying. Second, the algorithm ignores my preference parameters. I specified men who have at least a college degree, are within a specific age bracket, and live within X miles of me. I am constantly presented with "matches" who live many hours away, have no degree, and who otherwise fall way outside my parameters. Third, even though Match brags about their safety measures, they seem to have no way to follow up when one reports a member for any reason. I have encountered some very dodgy men on Match. Only one was concerning enough that I reported him. I have exchanged several emails about this man with Match support. The case has even been escalated. But all they do is ask me, repeatedly, for the man's contact information — real name, address, phone number, etc. This is for a man whom I met, and with whom corresponded, on their dating app. I never never met him in person, or had contact outside of the app. I never even did a video chat with him (a service on the Match app). Just messaging. Why would I have that personal information? Match should have it. FYI, what this man was doing was trying to find out where I live. He was doing that in a careful, "grooming" sort of manipulative give and take, claiming that he once lived in my area and describing things around here. Then he would ask whether I lived close to that specific thing, and he'd ask for physical details of my neighborhood. It got creepy and alarming really quickly, so I contacted Match. I've met men on Match who have been using the app for a decade. It can be a very sad place. I'm sure there are good people on there, and you may luck out and find a potential partner. But my experience has not been good. I am thinking of canceling my subscription. In summary, my experience with Match is that they exist primarily to up-sell subscription services and extras, their matching algorithm is poorly designed and inadequate, and they have no real or effective way to protect users from bad actors on the site. Women who are looking for men, beware. I wish you luck in your search. No Customer Service Dept.” April 1st, 2024 Match.com requires a paid membership to gain accessibility to members and send messages. There are some recommendations they make based on your search parameters called Highlights. But, to respond to a Highlight you need to spend an additional $3.00. A six month membership is already $150. I'm a fully paid member who can't message the profiles they send me without incurring additional expense. NOTE: There is no level of customer service worth contacting. There is no help line to call. You can only use email. Email responses and "solutions" from their representatives come from a book of canned responses and in trying to resolve an issue, I received "help" from five different reps. Match.com is a scam. I'll never recommend it.
Do you know how much time I wasted on Match? Two years! Match gave me only one date with a selfish drama queen. It might have been a good service years ago, but it's not the case any longer. You can contact women endlessly going round and round in circles with no results. Match is not a client-oriented platform anymore. All they care about is getting as much of your money as possible. For this purpose they use fake accounts and bots.
Match is the worst dating site I hav experienced, it is designed to make you keep paying with out even providing good matches. I will not recommend it to any one. Tip for consumers:Horrible Service Quality

Challenging to find men that meet my preferences which are hetro and older. Match allows the user to set for proximity--I set for under 90 mile radius and Match consistently has presented/pulled from 180 miles away. It means rejecting a lot of people, which never feels good on either side. The click-boxes help people fill out profiles, but there are still a lot of men that don't bother or are 'just seeing what's out there' or with dummy profiles. I've run into scammer ones as well. That said, I did go on a few dates, and dated one person for quite a few months. I think a lot of people my age often use it for dating, so sometimes I've seen the same men over the course of time. One guy I met was 100% convinced some of the profiles that he connected most with always showed up right before he was ending his subscription. They do seem to have good support in-app but it's all add on pricing--they'll help improve your profile, give you advice, etc, even set up local meets. However, their overall price is ridiculous and they do play games--they will lower the price if you are a demographic they want. They will NOT send you notice that your subscription will be renewed. And, in 2023, it isn't possible to get a hold of a person easily. Messenger dialogue is algorithm based, email definitely is, and the phone number on the credit card statement is pre-recorded messages. In short, they are looking to sign you up, hope that you forget to cancel, and then renew you at high prices. I'd avoid it, because it's starting to feel more like an app run by AI designed to extract money and not actually help people connect. Service Value Quality
Absolutely horrific experience I would not recommend any dating site with the way the world works and the phoniness that exist Service Value Quality
I joined match and created a profile I then logged out. When I tried to log back in I got a screen to verify my phone number. When I put in my phone number I got an error message that they could not verify my number. I tried many times and always got the error message. I contacted their customer care support department many times and got very little response. When I finally got an email that the problem had been resolved I tried again and got the same error message. I have been locked out of my account since I created it and not help. They don't have any phone number to call and don't answer emails promptly nor fix the problem but THEY WILL STEAL YOUR MONEY AND NOT REFUND YOU WHEN THEY DON'T PROVIDE THE SERVICE YOU PAID FOR. This site is as big a scam as any on the internet. Service Value Quality
I was told by several people they had met nice people via dating apps. I've been divorced for a few years and decided to try Match.com. I've been on this site for about six months now. I'm relatively pretty, well-educated, interesting and have sent likes to hundreds of men, but never hear back from most of them. It's not been a very good experience. Many of the people who've been allowed to contact me have been scammers, not really who they say they are. Other times people I've liked and given my phone number have been removed because they need to pay more money to the company for an anonymous number and can't contact me. I'm supposedly a Premier Member, but even though I've paid a lot of money and extra money for special likes, it's not resulted in any decent matches. They encourage buying "boosts, gifts, being able to see who read your messages, who can see you, etc. As a Premier Member, shouldn't all this have been included in my initial membership? Not a good way to meet people, and sometimes I've felt sad and not very lovable, but I have to remind myself that most of the men don't even seem me or my messages unless they're willing to pay extra for everything! Don't use Match! Tip for consumers:Won't refund your money, just hide your info. Products used:Dating site Service Value Quality
I was on that site paid my money. And they told me I had to get off because I was real. To woman. They want yes and no men on site so they can keep getting money. I will never use match again. And I ask for my money back after they threw me off. And they said no. Real men don't use match.
I bought a 6 month premium membership because of the better price (April 2023). Only been on there a month and it's been over a week without any match discoveries that match is suppose to create. I even broadened my search to a 60 mile radius! NO MATCHES! I should have bought just one month instead of wasting over $100 on this subscription. WORST SITE EVER! Tip for consumers:JUST BUY A ONE MONTH SUBSCRIPTION!!! Value Quality
Match.com agreed to give me a refund… Match.com agreed to give me a refund said it was done on their end and it'll be in my bank in a day or two a week later I get a hold of them and they said they can't do it because I purchase through Apple that I needed to go to Apple so I go to Apple and Apple says they didn't have it. Just went back-and-forth for over two months then I looked on my PayPal and went back and found where it was charged from Match to PayPal. I got hold of them again and show that to him and approved it. It took me a week and 10 tries to get them to respond. And then when they responded, they said well you received a refund before those dates and there was a one time deal for refunds. I responded back that this was not about those refunds. You agreed in writing that it was February 2 and April 7 charges that you agreed to refund the only reason you couldn't you said it's because it was through Apple now that I prove that it's not through Apple they say I can't have it because I already got a refund months before for a double charge do not use these. It is the worst dating site in the world full of scammers and you cannot get any help whatsoever. They just take your money and keep taking and taking they put up people for you to match with and you like them but they won't let you see him unless you spend more money to buy. Super likes. These people should be in jail not running a website. Tip for consumers:they agreed in writing to refund me the money, but said I got it through Apple so then they couldn’t but when I prove that I bought it through Match through my PayPal, then they tried to come up with another excuse that said, they refunded me money months before that which has nothing to do with this one that was a double charge and they already agreed in writing to refund the money that they’re refusing to refund now Service Value Quality

I've been using Match for about two years and I must say I'm very pleased with their service. They have a large user base, and the website is simple to navigate. I was looking for a relationship but didn't want to get hurt again, so I tried online dating sites. In my opinion, Match Online Dating Sites is by far the best online dating site. They have many users from all over the world who are very friendly and easygoing!
$50 a month? No way in hell. So many fake profiles that link to other sites. Don't waste your time or money Service Value Quality
In my opinion, this site is a scam! It's the same profiles each month! The month that I don't pay the subscription, they are emailing different, new profiles. When I pay, I don't see the new ones! That's just to lure you back! CANCEL your subscription before the next month, if you don't want it. This site will debit your account at midnight and refuse to reverse the fee!
The worst customer service I have ever goten. I got a membership for 3 months and I can't get on there because my phone number is wrong and I can't verify it. So It was a waste of money, I get all kinds of notifications but I can't get on there because I can't verify my phone number because it is wrong. Plus I have sent them an email saying that its all wrong and no feed back. So I paid for a subscription I can't use. Tip for consumers:It would be a good site if they had customer service. I have used it before and It was fine. But this is rediculous. Thank you! Service Value Quality
So, I had been looking for someone for awhile, and spent the time to fully fill out a profile, and paid the subscription fee. I was wondering why no one was responding to any of my messages. Well apparently the subscription does NOT allow for free users to reply to subscribed users without the subscribed user paying more for that service. So in effect you not only have to pay to be able to use it in ANY way, you also hope that anyone your interested in is also a subscriber, and if that cutie is not a subscriber well looks like your paying even more for that person to be even capable of replying. Tip for consumers:Avoid Value Quality
I've been dating from the Internet for about 20 years. I've had really lovely relationships and met some wonderful women. As of May 2023, I'm using multiple sites. Match is an antique. The actual connection rate is abysmal. This fossil denies spontaneity. Post a new picture? Wait days for "approval." Edit your profile? Same delay. Once you're on it, it's pimping you constantly for upgrades. I would avoid this site entirely. Once you disconnect they start sending you notice about all the wonderful people you're missing that "liked you." I fell for that, and it was totally disappointing. I think you could do better with Bumble, Tinder and even Facebook dating Tip for consumers:That it’s cumbersome and awkward, denies spontaneity, and the connection rate stinks. A waste of money for somebody who is serious about connecting with genuine real people. Value Quality
First used it 20 years ago (2003) and a 15 yr marriage, I tried it. Just don't! Signed up & had to pay prem membership to view other's photos and emails. Sent out over 200+ personal likes/ emails. Never received a single like/email back. (Only a few views) Don't have a profile if you're not going to meet up in person. (There has to be restrictive measures to this.) A lot of fake, flakey and shallow people out there. Service Value Quality
