For a company closing their stores you'd think they'd offer free returns. I'd buy more knowing I can return if I had too, but I'm not taking a chance if I have to spend $19 to ship back shirts that might not fit properly. I ordered three shirts that had the same item number from one I owned, but they were much thinner and smaller, but it cost the amount of one shirt to return them to South River, NJ which is ten minutes from me. But I can't drop them off there in person.
Tip for consumers:Knowing that returns aren’t free, I’ll never order online again, especially when the items I order have dramatically changed over a one year period. Thinner, size was different, and not the same quality. Extremely disappointed in Nautica. Spent $67 for three items and cost $19 to ship them to 20 minutes from my house, they don’t accept in person returns in South River, NJ and can’t return to a store if you buy with Apple Pay.

Date of experience: December 12, 2021Ordered a jacket. There was no email notification of shipping. After 2 weeks, found out delivery had been the prior week. Nothing was received. Offered to ship another 2 day air. Third day no item. Called to find they issued refund with no notification. This was on Dec 23rd. Will not order from this company again. I gave them one star because negative stars were not available.
Date of experience: December 23, 2020I wanted to send 3 shirts back because they all had a hole in the same location due to thread coming undone. I had only worn one of the shirts once, so it appeared to be an issue with manufacturing. I decided to reach out to Nautica chat service and see if I could get a replacement but was told I needed to spend money on the shipping to Nautica for a replacement.
Also, I was not guaranteed a discount such that I had claimed before because I would have to put in a new order once they refunded me. The refund/replacement process Nautica has in place is absolutely terrible! After being on the chat for over 30 minutes to find this out, I was done with everything and decided it's best to just keep the shirt with a hole and never do online shopping with Nautica again. I've replaced so many items with Amazon without an issue at all... they fully refund me and it's very easy to do without a cost to the customer.
Best of luck to those willing to roll the dice on Nautica.
Tip for consumers:The refunds for Nautica are not free. They will charge you for return shipping.

Date of experience: October 14, 2022Bought 4 polo shirts. Followed the instructions to wash them. 3 of them shrunk so much that they cannot be worn. Customer service could not help. Do not buy the polos even though they look great, obviously the quality is poor.

Date of experience: September 1, 2022I ordered 2 sweatshirts that I received, tried on and put away as I live in Florida and it was too warm to wear them. I got them out later and wore one and washed it. It became very misshapen and no longer fit right. I was not about to try the other one. I asked to return and they said I was past 30-day return policy so had no option to send back now. Way to not stand behind your product! Will never buy from them again.
Date of experience: December 20, 2022Ordered stuff online for my dad and it didn't fit. I thought I could return it to the outlet store but found this was permanently closed. Called customer service and they told me I had to pay for the return shipping myself. I complained and they told me this was their new policy and that they would send me a return label with prepaid shipping as a one-time courtesy via email. I never received it. I spent $24.75 on shipping stuff back that I didn't want. I probably won't receive the refund either. It's obvious they're in hot water because of COVID and unfortunately they're taking that out on customers like you and me!

Date of experience: December 29, 2021I returned towels on 1/24/23 and as of today 2/13/23 I have no credit. You can't reach anyone else except CS. They won't provide any other names or phone numbers. The names of executives on web site are either false or inaccurate, as I tried writing to 3 officers and my letters were returned not at this location and unable to forward. I have made numerous phone calls and emails and I am very frustrated. If they gave a zero star I would give it that or even a minus. Do not purchase from them, even if you have to pay more at a reputable store, at least you will get sastisfaction. Does anyone have any additional information that might help?

Luckily amx caught it but they said the sale went through and nautica sent updates on shipping but it was coming from China and still nothing by Christmas. I submitted a complaint with no response. Fool me once but never again. Do not order from Nautica.ca it is a complete SCAM

Date of experience: January 29, 2024I've been a Nautica customer for many years. Recently bought items & paid extra for 2 day delivery. Got email giving a dely date 5 days out. Called to request express fee be refunded. Asked to speak to rep in USA & was told only reps are in Mexico. Then she said 2 day express actually means 3 business days! I will not be purchasing anything from Nautica again. Company misrepresents they are American - clearly they are not!

They will say they have something online and get you all excited, but once the order is send out, half want be available. This has happened to me several times and the need to stop false advertising to the people.

Soon after I started receiving emails that items were delayed, basically everything I ordered was delayed and if not shipped by 6/11/2023 the order would be canceled. I just looked up my order 5/21/23 and it shows as canceled with the exemption of my donation (rounding up to the full dollar) which was charged to my credit card. So, they charged my credit card for a small amount, canceled my order and if I look online, all the items show as available... Are they taking orders to charge credit cards small amounts and then the orders are being cancelled? I don't know what to think about them except that it was my first and last order.

Date of experience: May 20, 2023Order 4 items. Got confirmation of my order then an email that the items have shipped. Then the items where never picked up from the carrier. Then when I called I received 4 back dated emails the items are on hold. Then I am told the items have been shipped. Then after a 5 minute wait I am told it looks like the items are lost. Then no suggestion to re ship the items. But I am told my credit card has not been charged. But it has and not when the items shipped but on the date of the order. Then I get I will give you a credit. Still waiting for the credit.

I placed two orders and went to check my tracking information and found out they use use sorry a-- thieving LASERSHIP! As usual they said they delivered it at 2:38 pm and NO PACKAGES! I sat waiting and never seen a so called Lasership employer come to the door but Amazon is clearly on camera delivering my packages I ordered with absolutely NO problem! I will NEVER do buisness with any company that uses this BUM A-- COMPANY where employees STEAL your stuff!

The only issue was they sold out of 3 of the shirts I ordered, but they still charged me the $30 for them. This happened in June. I've been trying to get assistance since, without success. The newest message to my recent response after 2 months of no communication, instructed me to contact my bank to get the reimbursement.

It's not my job to make the claim, the claim should be made by the company, and I should be re-shipped the items. NEVER ordering from Nautica again.

Date of experience: May 26, 2022Ordered $300 in merchandise and chose the Klarna option- both the first Klarna payment and the TOTAL amount were charged to my account within 30 min of placing the order. Called customer service immediately they said that they could only cancel the order to remove payment from my account. And that I would have to reorder. Two days later my account was charged the total amount again and when I called they told me my order was out for delivery today. Customer service was rude and denied the order had been cancelled.also NEVER RECEIVED A CONFIRMATION EMAIL!

Date of experience: February 12, 2021Order a merchandise via NAUTICA.com. Used a gift card and the balance via Paypal.
At checkout the Nautica site showed an error. The order was not fulfulled but the balance on the Nautica Gift card was taken out and I was charged via Paypal for the balance.
Nautica does not have record of my order. Spent over 1/2 hour on chat, 3 emails with costumer services and one phone call. The can't solve the problem. NO GOOD
Date of experience: October 1, 2020I currently own 2 pair of Nautica men's PJ bottoms size XL. They fit great, feel great, I've had them for a couple of years, so I thought I would buy a couple more. I place the order on Nov 4. When I received them they were not the same quality of product and the fit was horrible. They were way too small. These were nothing like the ones I had purchased a couple of years ago.
Now I am trying to return them. I've called 5 times to get a return label. 5 times they said I should get it from UPS within 72 hours. 5 times I have not received the return label. I've even given them 3 different email addresses, still nothing. They also said they would mail me a return label, I haven't seen that either.
DON'T BUY ANYTHING FROM THIS COMPANY, THEY ARE NO LONGER WORTH IT. THEY ARE NOT THE COMPANY THEY USED TO BE.

Date of experience: December 8, 2019I have been a loyal customer for many years but no more. The customer service is awful now. I ordered 8 items on 7/22/20. When the order arrived I was missing 2 items. Never received an email or notice, One of the hoodie I ordered was too big, so I needed to return and get a smaller size. I called customer service and spoke to Abby. I explained what I needed. She said I would have to pay for the return shipping. The return policy states " Please call Customer service to receive FREE exchange shipping on all online purchase" It's on every invoice and on their website" I explain it to her but she kept telling me that is not the case I have to pay. Finally she agreed to wve the shipping fee and told me I would receive an email with an authorization code. She told me that I would have to reorder the Hoodie with the right size. I also looked at the web and saw that they had the items that never showed up on sale on their website so I ordered it again. She assured me the email with my return code would be emailed in a day or 2. Never heard of that but hey... A week later I called again and demanded to speak with a manager. They gave me a very hard time and I waited over 45 minutes on the phone. She reviewed my orders, the first and the second and said she understood and was going to make sure that the email with the return code will be emailed and that it comes from headquarters and it takes time. Total BS I never received anything. They have no problem lying to clients and do not honor their FREE return Policy.
I will not order again from them.
