    This company probably is on the verge of bankruptcy. We're one of their suppliers, they haven't paid us since last August. We stopped ship for them. According to their website they don't do refund, the customers who have a pending order with us haven't get any money back yet. They are on our collection agency's list. If you want to place a order on their website, make sure if you can get a refund if they can't ship your order. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
    After buying an umbrella on PIER1 last summer it broke within days. I spent weeks trying to contact customer service. NO RESPONSE. As the new owners took over I was able to get in contact with responded. What an incredibly rude and degrading response. Especially from a new company trying to achieve returning or new customers.     The outdoor chairs I purchase deteriorated with in two years after purchasing. I tried for another two years to get Pier 1 to resolve the problem. I purchased four large wingback wicker chairs, an ottoman, two occasional chairs and, outdoor cushions for all the chairs... I spent over $1000. 00. Pier 1 offered me $134.00 to resolve the issue. I refused their ridiculous offer. The pictures attached along with several more were sent to Pier 1. After I sent the pictures, they stopped communicating with me.
    Pier 1 keeps cancelling my online orders, but then I see the items available on their website again. Either they have a major inventory issue, or they are just cancelling orders for no good reason. In the cancellation email there is no explanation as to why they cancel the order or apology. When you call customer service, it literally hangs up on you! Wow, what happened to this place?
    I order two wall deco/pictures March 01,2023.I contact Pier One,March 15,2023 to get a order status, it took several emails to find out the items were no longer available, however I never spoke to a person(the customer service number is not valid), the email is computer generated...I am trying to get a refund, the computer offer me a store credit, which the store policy is store, within 30 days of receiving your order...I NEVER RECEIVE MY ORDER.     First I want to tell you about KAREEM, our server, From the moment she introduced herself and flashed that beautiful smile, She got me. I said to my husband she gets the biggest tip tonight good was delicious by the way. KAREEM was friendly, professional and ready to serve always asking us. Are you ok? Can I get you anything.else? What a pleasant young lady. I give Kareem a 10+10+10+10+ 10. This happened while we were Dining. So after wards we went to the bar. We sat there about 10 min before one of the servers respond as a matter of fact my husband had to ask to be served. As we sat where someone else was and they ate. That garbage stayed in front of us for a good 30 min before before it was moved. I am disappointed with the bar staff, no courtesy. Staff seemed preoccupied with other things.     I purchased a few items today. The person said she charged me twice for the same item and would take it off. Meanwhile was talking with a friend who had stopped in the store as she is checking out my items. I asked if she took the extra item off, she said, "Yes." Driving home looked at my receipt and saw the item on there twice. Stopped my car and called and the other person looked it up and took the item off. Email confirmation said for reason: changed mind. I did not change my mind. I purchased only 1 of the item. The staff took no responsibility, didn't apologize.

    I bought 2 wreaths for the door online no packing just thrown in the box. Flowers and leaves all broke. Up. Bought some hanging lights that are generated by the sun and don't work. Nothing returnable cause no one cares about the past 6 yrs spent thousands dollars supporting your store and now it's all crap and nothing can be made right.     I ordered 2 wall art pieces. 1st one, a stretched canvas, arrived with a small dent on edge - before it was boxed! The 2nd one was delayed. I contacted them 2x, to cancel the order. No response. The 2nd piece made of metal arrived. It is very poor quality. RUN FROM THIS SITE! These are not the Pier 1 products from the previous owners. Tip for consumers:Do not order from this company!     Ordered a love seat for my master bedroom before Pier one claimed bankruptcy. I waited three weeks, opened it up and the only thing in the massive box was the body of the chair. A smaller empty box was included -I assume it was for the legs and the hardware... it was empty! Called customer service, I was on hold for 2hours and 2 minutes before someone answered and then clicked the phone down! Don't waste your time!
    TLDR: I strongly advise that you look elsewhere. It will save you so much time, money, and frustration. I order a patio set that ended up being a little too small for the space so I returned it (which was a long process just to initiate) to purchase the extended version of the same set which was only a little bit more. However, for some reason, the particular color I wanted was price more than the rest of the other color of the same set. I called about a price match and after over a month of being told "It will be updated on the site in 1-2 days", "We need to speak to the vendor (or the technical team or fulfillment team) and we'll get back to you" and never receiving a call back. Please note that any returns are refunded as gift certificates, not refunded to your card so I am basically stuck with them for the time being. Finally after a month of waiting since they still had my money from the original purchase, I call again only to be told that the price of the other 2 colors wrong apparently wrong, even though I was told other times that the color I wanted was wrong, and that they would not price match. I asked if I could get one of the other colors priced back at the original price before I brought the incorrect price to their attention and was told no. It wasn't until I mentioned that I was going to dispute my original charge to get my money back that they decided they could refund my money to my card. One of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had so please save yourself the effort and don't support these kind of business practices. After all this, I performed a google lens search on the product that I wanted and found it $1000 cheaper on home depot and bed bath an beyond under a different name.     They would not cancel an order a few minutes after I placed - an overpriced desk that I had to assemble made from particle board. They called it wood in the description then after a few clicks saw it was fake. I noticed and called to cancel and they sent anyway. They would not issue a refund when I sent it back unopened same day. I paid the high priced shipping costs and the would only give me store credit.     Review Better Business Bureau (BBB) before you do place an order at Pier1. You will not hear back from these folks for weeks and months after you place the order. Their policy include "No Cancellation", while you are stuck, waiting for your order for months.     When Pier1 had stores I loved to shop there and I never had issues with the quality of anything I ever purchased. I recently attempted to order a new area rug online and it was a huge mistake. I ordered an 8 x 10 rug, which arrived as a 7 x 9 rug. Then to make it worse the quality was horrible. There were several spots where the rug fibers were gone, to the point where you could see the back of the rug showing through. But that's not even the worst part. The attempted return process has been a nightmare. They wanted to offer me a 20% discount on a future purchase to go away quietly. I refused their offer and told them I expected a return label to be sent to me and that I expected a full refund to my credit card. They are now telling me that there will be a $19 charge for the return of the rug (that was the wrong size and damaged) and that I would receive a store credit. I've gone back and forth with them for 4 days, I'm done and have given them 24 hours to send a prepaid return label and to confirm that my credit card will be fully refunded. If I don't hear from them I will file a dispute with my credit card company. Please save yourself time and frustration - don't order from them.     I have been updating our home and started looking at pier1 for some of my changes. I shop online and free shipping to my local store. If I do not like the item, they will refund in store with out a problem. The quality and customer service has been great.
    Service is unexistent. I bought bed+ nightstands and painted the room accordingly to this bedroom, bought shades as well in the same colors. In my order it said "preparing" forever... and in fact it still says so... I asked and then I was told I would never get this item due to shortage. I was offered others. When I claimed for refund plus some compensation (for the wait and for the money spent on painting and shades) I was told I would get the refund. Nothing til today.     Message and PO - tells you what to call and an any time text service # I have tried the all plus you stay in a que watched 3 shows while waiting when their message said 20 minutes never answering only playing music. Every service the message tells you to use drags you out. They have no answering service. I received a package from them and the item that was most important was stolen. Box was open one item and PO was missing my order on line showed full order was complete and charged to my credit card. Pier 1 should be ashamed at how badly they are handling and misleading customers at this time. They seem to take orders online but mislead customers in handling problems. If people can fill an order and ship it surely some one can do customer service. Disgusted! You deserve to go out of business.
    I was excited to learn that Pier 1 would at least be maintaining an online store. That is, until I looked at the offerings on the site. Clearly this is not the same company nor the same merchandise buyers. I have spent years purchasing wonderful and unique products and gifts from Pier 1. Very disappointingly, the current selection (and pricing!) is poor, not to mention boring. It's just sad.
    I drove from the neighboring town to The Greenville SC store. I arrived at 6:55 PM and the store closed at seven. I walked in with my receipt from the store in my town because I needed a couple of more items that this store had but they would not answer their telephone therefore I couldn't call them and ask them to go ahead and place the order and let me purchase and I will pick up on a Saturday. It's about an hour drive for me to this store. So I drove very fast and pouring down rain and made it in just under an hour. Walking in knowing exactly what I wanted the store manager "KIM" was very rude. I said I'm sorry I know it's almost closing time but I know exactly what I need she said and you walk in here at 7 o'clock VERY rudely. I have always loved pier one and have always gotten great customer service guess she's having a bad day but I sure would not recommend her as a customer service rep or manager in any retail store.
    I tried to order a $70 papasan chair on their website and the only shipping option was in home delivery for $169. Meaning they will unbox it and put the furniture together for you. I could see this being useful for some things, but for a papasan chair that requires zero assembly this is an outrageous and unnecessary charge. Especially with the pandemic, I do not want people entering my home unnecessarily. When I tried to contact pier 1 to get this delivery option removed, I was unable to reach them at all. Their customer service phone numbers only work about 25% of the times and when I did get through I was put on hold for over an hour and then hung up on. I then tried their online chat, I was put in a queue of 300+ people and waited in the queue for 40+ minutes 4 separate times, every time I got to 5th in line in the queue, I was kicked out and told to try again, then placing me behind yet another 300+ people. I have tried sending them messages on Facebook and get no response.
    We bought a diner set at Pier 1 and before buying got several reassurances that this set was a legacy set and would be carried by Pier 1 indefinitely. We bought it long before they shuttered their stores. As luck would have it, we lost a dinner plate and they have discontinued the line! We trusted Pier 1 to maintain the pattern because nothing is more frustrating than to lose a complete set of plates, small plates, bowls and cup due to breakage. Don't trust this company to keep their word on anything... wasted hundreds of dollars!     We purchased a 3 piece outdoor set with white glove delivery. We waited 3 weeks and the loveseat came with out legs. The driver just left it in our home and told us to figure it out. Waited on hold for 2 hours with Pier1 customer service to be told that the legs will take 2 months. Horrible customer service. Stay away.
