Raise.com Review
I posted a 500 dollar gift card to sell on Raise/GCX. The sale went through. I then received an email indicating that the seller had experienced "problems" with the gift card. Lo and behold the gift card was now empty. At the end of the day, I was never given my money and I lost everything on the gift card. There is absolutely no way to contact a human. Emails are ignored. No phone number. Nothing. Do NOT give these guys business.

QualityI signed up for the website, then attempted to purchase $100 in gift cards. The purchase never completed then my account was "locked" I sent a ticket to support, they sent a link to my email to verify my identity by scanning my face and drivers license. Never received contact after, account still locked.
Fairly sure they are farming personal data and selling to third parties.

QualityThey claim they have a money back guarantee, but, they do not. I purchased over $1200 worth of cards for hotels.com and they are unusable, because someone had previously combined the cards which makes it unusable on the hotels.com sites. Now, when I messaged support and requested a refund, they told me no, that they see money on the card, so, no. Even though they are completely unusable for me. This site would not allow me to upload a screenshot of my purchase.

QualityI purchased a gift card, and it didn't work. I emailed them and the response was to escalate the situation and get back to me within 7 business days. They never responded to me and were not refunding either. Be aware! We ought several cards with their 1 year guarantee, one card had a $0 balance and they won't honor it. Customer service is non existent, no chat, no phone only emails that takes days to get somebody to respond.

QualityNothing about this company is legitimate, they don't even have a phone number posted to accept calls, and their "support" is terrible with response time. I've had a status of "paid" with funds I withdrew for a week, and still have not seen the funds in my account. These people are crooks.

QualityThey take a really long time to process your order. They'll charge your credit card but about half the time it takes about 24 hours for them to deliver on what you purchase. You'd think well they probably message you and tell you there's a delay or apologize or refund your order if it takes that long. NO! Raise is too good to care or be available or not waste your money and time. Honestly I can think of 5 other places you can buy used gift cards without the stupid 'technology' that is Raise.com. Avoid that stupid heap of b.s. That is Raise.com at all costs.
Tip for consumers:It's just a pile of trash.
Products used:gift cards. It's all they do.

QualityStrongly reconsider buying Roblox gift cards from Raise as this company has shown a concerning lack of reliability. The gift cards purchased here have been found to be non-functional when used with USA-based Roblox accounts, resulting in an error message indicating a currency-country mismatch. What's even more frustrating is that Raise's customer service response leaves much to be desired. Instead of promptly addressing the issue and providing refunds, they insist on a cumbersome process that requires you to prove the origin of the gift card and the fact that it did not work. This unnecessarily complicated and time-consuming procedure is far from the customer-friendly service one would expect from a reputable company. As a result, it's advisable to explore alternative sources for Roblox gift cards where you can expect a smoother, hassle-free experience.

QualityRaise stole $173 from me. Unfortunately, this company has unethical and fraudulent practices. They have no customer support phone number and they claim Live Chat but I have never successfully used it.
Recently, I listed a ~$173 Best Buy gift card to be sold by Raise after it was 'approved' by their screening process. Two days later, it was sold and I was sent a congratulations email. Great!
Not so fast, a day after it sold they said there were no funds on the card and that they checked (after they approved it through the initial process).
I called Best Buy, and they informed me that the balance was cleared 10 minutes after it was sold on Raise and was used to purchase an Apple Watch in a state I don't live in. I presented this evidence to Raise in the 4th support ticket and this time they didn't even respond.
I filed a police report for the theft and will be pursuing all legal action possible. I do not recommend transacting with this company.

QualityI bought a Google play card, tried to use it immediately and got the card has been redeemed already message. Contacted Raise, they won't refund or replace the card. Google says there was no balance and won't do anything because Raise is NOT an authorized reseller!
Tip for consumers:Don't. If you get defrauded by a seller, Raise won't do a thing about it!!!!
Products used:None! The gift card purchased was EMPTY!

ReturnsOf course, there are sometime errors from the sellers. But I always trust Raise's support team. If you have something wrong with the order? Just call them and wait a little bit and everything will be alright.Twice now I've had issues with gift cards from Raise.com. Even after providing proof that I did not use them, the site would not refund my money. Seems like a good way to save money, until you have an issue and they don't really care. Stay away from this site. After failing the account review process for my wife, Raise decided to suspend not only my wife's account but mine! As we called them, the supervisor said it was at the "representative discretion". We did all we can to satisfy their account verification process including sending a picture of my wife's driving licence which they said was "not valid" (after answering correctly the usual random questions).
This business is just concerned about themselves, not the customer and they will treat you like dirt. Beware!
[EDIT: We received a call from a Customer Representative. He was able to fix the situation and explained how they have to be extra cautious with gift card transactions. After some turbulences over the last few days I think we are back to normal! I will give Raise.com another try as I had been quite satisfied with their services until this incident. Changing my rating accordingly to reflect my overall experience with this business.]Absolutely the worst business i have ever dealt with in my entire 71 years! Do yourself a favor and run, don't walk, away from these con artists!
06/04/2016: just tried to use the balance on a Lowe's card that i bought last november. It was no good. NEVER AGAIN!

QualityExtremely shady website, no doubt involved in money laundering. Won't let you use PayPal on desktop - you have to download their app for that! They'll ban your account for no reason on your first purchase but leave the charge up instead of instantly reversing it. Horrible first impression and I'm glad I didn't get caught up in the myriad of issues other users have reported - gift cards not working, payments being withheld and so forth.Very disappointed in their customer service policy for those of us who purchase in good faith and get ripped off. Purchased a $50 gift card and when I tried to use it on vacation, only $9.84 card balance even though I never used it! After many calls, Raise pretty much said nothing we can do since I bought it too far in advance for my trip. Will not buy from them again and will encourage friends not to as well.Bought two gift cards, the next day they refunded one card as they "found an issue" with it. Been waiting almost 4 weeks for the second card, sent emails, only receive automated responses and when I call their customer service I am always caller number 20+. Just contacted the bank and filed a dispute on the charge.Downloaded the app on my phone. Wanted to check to see if promo code was valid and accidentally hit pay instead of apply. Not my first time using, had a card saved so it went through. Immediately contacted them. It took 10 days to get a response! In those 10 days the payment was processed and they refuse to refund. End of me doing business with them. Avoid this company. Find a local place that will buy/sell physical gift cards if possible.Order a physical gift care on Nov. 13 2020. After 2 emails to Raise, I finally received the gift card on Dec 7,2020. It says right on the order slip that "gift cards are to be mailed within 3 business days". It was more like 13 business days. The gift card has teeth marks in it and is damaged to a point that I cannot give it as a gift. I'm not even sure if the merchant will be able to swipe the card as the damage is on the magnet strip side.
So far, I have not had any issues with Raise's electronic gift cards, but after reading so many negative reviews along with my most recent experience with this gift card, I think I might be done with Raise.Raise offers promotions for money off purchases but their website doesn't honor them. When you call into their service you get people like Aria and Cooper Price ( supervisor) who will do everything in their power to not give the promotional money back. This is a fraudulent operation. Both times I tried to purchase cards they were ultimately containing $0 balances. Prices in this website are poor in comparison to other legitimate websites. Do NOT do business with this CompanyThe Guarantee with this company has gone downhill. I have spent tens of thousands of dollars with them mostly on Lowe's gift cards. They used to be good about refunds, but not anymore. Now I have a bad card for $172.68 and ive been jumping through hoops emailing, calling, mailing the card back and still no refund. Its been well over a month of giving me a hard time. Their cards seem like a good deal, yes, but just wait until you get a bad card with these guys! You can say goodbye to any savings you thought you were gonna get and will probably eat a loss instead for their benefitNo service provider is ever always perfect. But the very best ones succeed in making blips disappear.
Raise is always on top of their game when "making it right" erases the "something gone wrong."
Nuff said.I still don't know how my complaint will be resolved - you sold me a $200 gift certificate that the retailer says is invalid - and your representative said she had to refer it to customer service and didn't know what would happen. I'm afraid you made $200 off me for which I received nothing in return.None of these cards is guaranteed. The person who sold it to Raise could empty the card on day 99 and you would just be out of luck the next day! I just checked a VS $300 one and it got emptied at around day 90. ZERO balance. I never used it. You need to use every card completely before day 100! Or Raise will just say, "that's tough". Also, if you have any problems with the vendor redeeming or checking balances, you are out of luck. Raise's guarantee is very limited. Lastly, their customer service is sometimes sarcastic and disinterested and service is often very slow. Everyone writes about this. I've spent around $1500 with them. That's over.
Tip for consumers:Unless you get a huge discount, it's not worth it. Be sure to check your balances frequently and use it all before day 100! The original seller can empty the card anytime they want and at day 100, Raise no longer cares.

QualityTried three times to contact the company to resolve an undelivered order. Two times via the '*******@raise.com' email address with never an answer over a period of several days. Third time I used the 'Help?" floating button and got the issue resolved the same day. In all fairness, once they realized I was having a problem the issue was resolve quickly. I would suggest better monitoring of their email 'support' service or add a search algorithm that looks for embedded order numbers that would automatically trigger a 'support ticket'. The difficulty in contacting the company is the reason for my average rating.
