    BUYER BEWARE - I purchased a brand new Kimber from Cabela and paid full price. The firearm would not fire straight out of the box! Now I am shipping it to Kimber for a fix. Cabela said they could not exchange due to it being a firearm. They later admitted that is a Cabela policy. They could exchange but CHOOSE not to. So in essence, we paid full price for a gun that will have to be repaired and there is no recourse. I will NEVER purchase another firearm from Cabela. If you purchase a firearm here, know their policy is just a Cabela thing. Some gun shops stand behind what they sell, this one doesn't! Service Value Returns Quality
    I very seldom ever order anything from Cabela's as everyone knows they are way too expensive and overpriced. This time however I decided to try to order a pair of shoes as they were on clearance for 50% off. Stupid website continuously try to tell me the information I was putting in was wrong when it was correct, try to go through their process several times before finally saying shove the shoes up your $#*!. Once again Cabela's is proven to be a waste of time. I will go back to not buying from Cabela's thank you very much.

    Tried to buy a pistol at Cabela's, they took my name and number and said they would call me the following week. That was 4 weeks ago as of 8/23/22. Still haven't heard back from them yet. Nice store but like anyone else, no body does what they say they will do.     So Cabelas and Basspro are in bed with Capitol One bank and neither company cares or appreciates their customers, they would rather lose you as customer than to resolve an issue. So as a customer whom feels these 2 companies have categorically declared me as a 2nd class citizen I am here to say I need nothing nor want nothing from you.     I ordered a boat part and had it shipped to mechanic in another state. It's been 7 days and it's after Xmas so not busy. Tracking shows a delay in Orlando. I was in Florida for the week hoping to use the new equipment while I was there. The weather was not bad so, that is not the reason for delay. Cabelas offered no reason for delay or help in any way. I have shopped there for years, starting back when there was only 2 stores in the whole country. I have traveled to many stores and ordered online. I'm not a fan of Amazon, but see no reason to stay loyal to a company who is not loyal to me.
    Would NEVER recommend buying a boat from this place and definitely would not recommend getting your boat serviced here unless you enjoy excuses, lies, deceit, carelessness and inexperience. We bought a Tracker boat five years ago, Cabelas Service Center has had my boat in three times for a console that was cracked and under warranty. After waiting SEVERAL months for the console to come in, they have cracked it while trying to install it twice, the third time they were unable to put it in altogether telling me my boat is "off". The acting service manager at the time, as they do not seem to have a steady service manager, told my husband, that they have been in this field a long time and the are over "98.5%" sure that when they send my boat back to White River, the manufacturer, since Cabelas Service had yet to successfully install the consoles, that we would most likely get a new hull because the acting service manager feels that there is structural damage to my boat and walked me around my boat showing me the possible damage, pointing out his vast knowledge of what appeared to be to him structural damage. My boat goes to White River and once the staff has a chance to look at it they install the console and ship it back within 1 1/2 weeks and indicate that there is not structural damage. Boat is back in Ohio at Cabelas, now we are told that the base plate for the seat did not come back from the manufacturer when they shipped my boat back and oh, yeah we can't find the boat keys you gave us back in the beginning of December when you dropped your boat off, why yes it is now the end of March and have not had my boat since the beginning of December and they cannot find the boat seats either that they removed from the boat prior to shipment to the manufacturer. We are now told today, still waiting on that base plate, that if the base plate is not here by Tuesday they will remove one from the showroom floors boats and install it. I do NOT understand why this cannot be done today, as we were there today and it is not a 'right down the road trip' for us and you have had my boat for the 3rd time for the same thing and have had it for a total of over one year for this console issue. Meanwhile we continue to pay for a boat that we have physically had for 4 of the 5 years we have owned it. Customer service is NOT top priority at least when it comes to their boats and service of the boats that you purchase brand new from them. Hoping to have the boat back as promised on Tuesday, without the lies and excuses, but lessons learned is not to ever count on anything that comes out of the boat sales or service departments mouth. The store and staff of the store itself has always been great, have bought fishing stuff, hunting stuff, guns and other merchandise and never had a problem. Be leery of buying boats from here unless you go elsewhere for any warranty issues, preferably a boat repair shop that knows what they are doing, won't BS you or tell you that your boat has structural damage unless they know for sure, won't give your equipment (batteries) that was removed from your boat to someone that comes in off the streets regardless of their relationship to you, without double checking with the boat owner first if that is acceptable or not and won't lose the keys to your boat.     I tried to work out an arrangement to purchase an item that was discontinued by the manufacturer. The newer version of this item is going for hundreds of dollars less, the exact same item. I confirmed this with the manufacturer. Customer service is handicapped by their purchasing department to out dated price matching rules. Note, customer service representatives were professional and nice, just hindered. Looking at purchasing the newest version from another company much more flexible.     It's now been 16 days since Cabellas received my return. Not one email stating it was returned, which it was on the 28th of December. Called to ask about - Cabella's rep told me it was received and that it can take up to 3 WEEKS to see my refund. 3 weeks? They have the item, it shows received and I'm still waiting for an email and or my money back. Today is the 14th of Jan. I guarantee I'll never be back to Cabellas. I'll make another call on Monday. You know what I have received from Cabella's? 4 emails a day showing me all their products and things to buy. Every time I open my email I get a Cabellas email.     Waiting at Cabelas in Green Bay for 48 min at the gun counter, it was not busy. Staff would walk by and not say a word. After 55 min I waved my hand and asked Paul if I could get some help, he ignored me. I asked if I could get some service, he said wait your turn. Helping more than one customer or acknowledging the other customers around would have been fine with me, but being ignored or not even acknowledged is horrible customer service.     2022 Nitro 505 scope rest loose I first contacted Tenpoint about my loose scope rest 8 months of use with multiple groups. They informed me my scope was too heavy, I started using the one that came with bow. After another 2 months of frustration, I contacted them again. I was informed that they were aware of issue and had added scope support struts for 2023. But they could not retrofit or correct my bow for the adverse shooting problem, nor did they seem interested. They simply said even though the warranty is supposed to cover this situation, they would not do anything for me, not even a discount on newer version. Buyer beware warranty is a fraud.     I bought a shotgun from Cabelas, the original box was showing damage and had no packing materials in it, so the put it in a larger box and ship it to me. When I opened it J found it damaged.     I forgot how much of a hassle and costly it is to ship something back to you that I have ordered. I will never order something online from you again. I can get the same thing from Amazon but wanted to try some of your shorts. Bad mistake! Returning a pair of shorts I paid $26 for cost me $13 to send them back. There's no way that small pair of shorts should have cost me that much to ship back to you!     My son bought a boat at cabelas it was taken back to be fixed 5 times last summer because it died in the lake and had to be towed in every time he took it out and it already happened again this year to its in their shop 2 weeks already sounds like a lemon that they should replace to me.     I buy an almost $400 grill and the ad read purchase before 2pm and we will assemble the grill for you! Jokes on me when I backed up to pick up my grill in a box!     Ordered a gun they said shipped on day I paid and ordered but never received notification it was in after 2 weeks. Contact through online messaging and they tell me it must have been lost in transit and it's out of stock now and would take 7 days for refund.     Ok- Since I wrote this review and another on Facebook, Cabela's Customer Service reached out and orchestrated an exchange or return of the shotgun. I am please now with the outcome and their interest in my satisfaction. I just wish the managers at the store had the range to assess these situations and do the right thing face to face without all of this review reaction.
    I purchased two shotguns ~1 month ago along with sites. The guy who sold them to me couldn't find a site mount and said to order on Amazon. When I got home, I realized that there were no holes bored into one of the guns for the mounts and also realized the no return policy on the box. I Was not made aware of this policy at the store. Bottom line is that I was told that my only option is to take it somewhere else to have it machined which is expensive and time consuming since closest business that does this is 45 minutes away and not opened on the weekends. When expressing my situation to "customer service" they explained that "the only option for them was to give me a $25 gift card." While nice of them, it doesn't really solve my problem and hassle. What ever happened to good customer service and making sure the customer is satisfied when they walk out the door. These big companies need to be punished for this.     I Love all the Cabela stores and often will make stopping at one of them part of our travels around the country. They have a great shopping experience and there are some good deals to be had. I like to buy online but sometimes you need to touch and feel the products or try them on, and having a wide variety in one place makes it our go to. The clothing is better now that Bass Pro purchased them.     After taking 2+ weeks to ship my order, they shipped it and then cancelled and refunded me for no reason. I spoke to multiple people and none of them knew why the order was cancelled, they also could not place another order from me. How in the world is this place in business?
