    So I bought two pots and pans sets through Ginny's and I have to say I am deeply disappointed in the durability of them. Over time, I began to see that they don't sit flat on surfaces, as if they have a bulge in the center and the nonstick surface wore off. I paid over $200 and now I have to get more pots from somewhere else of course. It was a waste of money. BUYER BEWARE!     So I have a credit limit of $600 and I have a balance of 191 and I made an order and they wanted a down payment and had already paid them a week ago when my bill was due. I live on a fixed income so when I get paid I pay all my bills because I am paid once a month. I keep so much for groceries and gas and stuff that will arise Throughout the month. I've used Ginny for years and it's nice cause I was able to get Christmas gifts and birthday gifts or whatever and then pay it a little at a time and that's very helpful when you are on a fixed income. My bill was paid off up until last month when I started getting some gifts for Christmas and birthdays that fall around November and December. I've never been asked to put a down payment on an order so that was weird to me but I just called customer service and canceled that order I will go with another company I will never use Ginny's again they lost me as a customer and I've been a customer of theirs for a long time. So that company is good with losing a customer. Word of mouth can either make a break a company. Read another reviews I'm seeing that there's many customers that are just not satisfied with the way they do business. You don't give somebody a credit limit of a certain amount and when they're not even close to that amount take it away or tell them to put down payments and stuff when they just made a payment it doesn't make sense But that's how they choose to do business so I already re-ordered some things through another company and I'm finished out my Christmas and no thanks to Ginny's. Tip for consumers:The only thing I have to say is don’t extend credit of $600 to someone but it not allow them to use their credit and I wasn’t going to max it out I was just going to finish up my Christmas and be done and be happy I was done But I just paid them a week ago a payment and then they wanted a down payment. Products used:I’ve used whatever I’ve ordered but I won’t ever order from them again simply because they give you something and then they want to take it away I don’t do business for companies like that.     I ordered from Ginny's believing that it would help my credit score. I first ordered pots and pans which started getting chips right away. Paid on time and owe them 40.00 I ordered a carpet cleaner they sent the wrong one so I was waiting on a return label and ordered the one I wanted. I will be damned if they didn't hit my credit score for 60 points and I am suppose to apply for a apt today since I have to move by the 1st. Now I am going to be denied on my application and not have a place to live. I have stage 4 cancer to boot. I will kill myself before I go live on the streets. Don't buy $#*! from this company. What do they want a picture of my body after I od on my meds. Yes a real account and customer. Tip for consumers:They are gonna cause me to be homeless. Hit my credit for 60 points today because I was unable to ship product back waiting on return slip from them. I have to move in a week have stage 4 cancer and I am $#*!ed now.     I have been with them for a while now! I wanted to order something an they sent me a letter saying I had to make a down payment for them to send it, i had the credit available, but they still wanted a down payment out of the blue! This has never happened before! So even though it says on my account page I have plenty of credit, they still want a down payment! This comply is a joke an a bunch of liars! They just are some fly by nite company that wants to rip people off! Going to file complaints with the bbb, ftc also! False advertising! Bad company!     They send u a picture catalog w/ $400 credit. U place a order for Christmas and then u get nothing. It's a scam and it's a load of crap.     I any very disappointed in the last order I made. Returned it and charged almost the whole amount of the watch in return charges.The quality of the watch was poor and not made very good.     This store is a joke they actually turn down paying customers for the most outrageous reasons which is definitely not a good strategy for a business I'm lucky they gave me credit than turned my order down because of the stupidity of so called other accounts which have been paid but I don't have to shop there thank God I have plenty other companies who give me credit and are paid surely you soon will go out of business. I was calling to let yall know yall didn't give my gma all of her parts and the lady got her information and hung up on me then I called back done it again and I called back and she done the same thing.     I ordered a Keurig 2 in 1 from Ginny's in October! It stopped working in February! I can't get it to come on at all! This is $250 wasted and I'm not finished paying my bill! I will NEVER order any kind of appliance from them again! Rather go to Targets or Walmart where they will honor it if it's broken! Lesson learned! Tip for consumers:Don’t order appliances!!     I received a bill from Ginny's (supposedly in Monroe, WI) for $982. I've never even heard of this company, let alone ordered from them. I called and asked about it. When given the order# the rep said it was for a television. She then told me I should be concerned that someone has my information and I should check with the three major credit bureaus. Next, she said she would transfer me to their "Loss Prevention Department" so I could make certain the order is cancelled. Guess what... 20 minutes on hold and no one ever picked up.     Please before you sign up with this company read the fine print that states that every time you place an order they are going to pull your credit report. It is a scam by them making you think that they have approved you for a credit limit. That is not at all true. When you call to inquire the customer service staff is most often rude or in one case I was advised to cancel my subscription because they do not care about customers by their own associate.     What ever you do Do Not Order From This Place... This company is a complete joke. I order some glasses, paid my bill in full, then went to order a back door screen, and then get a letter that they want half down for the payment, but it gets better. The book tells me that I'm approved for credit ( buy now and pay later)So when I call the customer service the lady on the other end of the phone started getting rude with me.     I have had a Ginny's account for 4 years. I have always paid on time and recently had to quit my job due to a death in the family so I could take care of my autistic child. I sent them $900.00 from my tax refund in hopes that it would lower my minimum payment from $75 to $25 and they refused to do so!     Ginny's and related companies must be having financial problems they don't wish to disclose. I received a catalog and letter stating I had $3000 in available credit, and if I ordered again before the end of the year, my credit line would be increased. I went online to order, and my account shows $0 in available credit. The same happened with an affiliated company. Between receiving the offer of a credit limit increase and my attempt to place an order, nothing about my credit had changed. After reading about similar experiences of other customers, this seems to be more than coincidence. I've never ordered frequently, but I have previously been a steady customer.     I bought a Bissell vacuum from GINNY'S I GOT IT WITH AN EXTENDED WARRANTY YEAR WARRANTY I ORDERED THE END OF AUGUST GOT AT THE BEGINNING OF SEPTEMBER NOTICE LITTLE BY LITTLE THAT DUST WAS COMING OUT OF THE BOTTOM I CALLED TO GET A FILTER FROM BISSELL AND THEY DON'T MAKE THE MODEL ANYMORE OR THE PARTS SO THE USELESS WARRANTY MY OPTIONS WERE GET THE SAME VACUUM WHICH I CAN'T GET PARTS OR FILTERS FOR OR A $200 CREDIT TO USE GINNY'S WHICH I WANT NOTHING FROM... THEY RECEIVED THEIR MONEY ON TIME BEFORE TIME ALL I WANT IS MY MONEY REIMBURSE! I WANT NOTHING FROM THAT CATALOG AND BEWARE I WOULD NOT ORDER ANYTHING FROM GINNY OR THE AFFILIATE COMPANIES THEY ARE SCAMS there's a picture of the vacuum with all the dust collected when it's on that comes out and there's a picture of the filter that I can't get there's only so many times you can wash it before it starts falling apart beware...     I recently opened up an account with Ginny's. They cave me a pretty impressive credit limit. I ordered all of my Christmas presents from them and all of the presents have already arrived and are in perfect condition. I do find them to be a bit overpriced but the fact the monthly payments are so low makes up for it in my opinion. I am assuming most people don't get credit from them are like me and have had credit problems in the past so I'm just thankful they gave me the opportunity to rebuild my credit.     We ordered this bird bath paid around $60 it came with a broken piece and because the item was out of stock they couldn't replace, they did give a $8 discount to keep us from returning it.     Prices are a bit high. Quality of almost everything they sell is very good. Towels are not best quality, but fair. The metal bowls were poor quality. Thats the only 2 things I was not happy with. I have bought a lot from them, including furniture. The payments are real low, which I love, and the APR is low. I mainly like the way they have unusual items that I can't find elsewhere.     Ginny's has a habit of creating "new" accounts when old accounts are updated. They then charge late fees when the "new" account is not paid on time. They claim to "merge" accounts for you then refuse to remove the late fee, as it was merely an "honest" mistake. I will not recommend this company to anyone. Tip for consumers:Be very cautious with personal information to avoid the. "honest" mistake of Ginny's creating multiple accounts.     This site is for those who don't have a credit card to their name. They give you a small line of credit at first ($100), and as you make monthly payments, they raise your limit. Great for those who are in need of a few things, but need to make payments. I received my order on time, intact, and it was of a better quality than expected. The cost was reasonable, but not cheap. It's a "great business" in these days of foreclosures, job loss, etc. Tip for consumers:The colors are 'spot on', so make sure you want a bold color or a pale color.     At Ginnys i had 1175 in credit. At seventh ave I had 1125. At montgomery wards I had 800. At Country door i had 680 i believe. Well my credit was suspended for multiple orders. HUH? Its Xmas so yes there's more ordering. I think between 4 stores i had 10 orders. That was to many and they cut my credit at every store.     In my opinion, if you have to pay half upfront than you probably have really horrible credit. My credit isn't great but it's good enough that they constantly are giving me a credit increase and I don't ever have to pay anything up front. Date of experience: December 27, 2016
