Bought the shirt in April 2024 and seam ripped out in elbow in Oct 2024. I asked the online chat and the response was, sorry there are no warranties. Date of experience: December 20, 2024
This is not my first frustrating experience with JAB. As a tall man my choices are somewhat limited to maintain some sense of fashion and I mistakenly thought that I finally found a good source. From custom made items messed up to ordering some "Traditional" size Sport Shirts and consistently receiving "Tailor Fit" size Sport Shirts two times in a row. So I am thinking with this ship running this way it wont be long until it sinks. What ever happen to taking care of the customer? Yes, I got my money back but only after I drove 15 miles to get it. I've been to many stores over the years getting clothes for my boys. I have to say I was so impressed with this store. I've been to other stores and did nothing but wait around for 20 minutes only to leave. At this store, I was told someone would be with me shortly. Within a few minutes a woman, Taj, helped us. We told her what we were looking, she took my son to the other side of the store and sized him up just by looking at him! I was impressed. I took my other son there the next day to get a suit as well. They did the alterations, ordered what we needed, and we were all very happy. My sons can't wait to go back to get another suit. Products used:Two suits for my boys, new dress shirts, four ties, and belts. Service Value Shipping Quality Date of experience: April 29, 2023
I purchased a suit from them. They had to order in the pants. I tried on the suit and discovered that the waistline was a45 not the 36 I needed. The salesman told me that I was mistaken and my story was impossible. After some time I told him that I had called yesterday and the pants were in the hold area. Never have I experienced such rudeness from a salesperson. This was at the Milford, Ct store. Service Value Quality Date of experience: November 13, 2023
I'm hesitant to write a negative review because the staff at the store I went to in Bryn Mawr we're very nice and helpful, but beyond that things seemed to go wrong. I got fitted for a custom shirt, and honestly not sure if it was the measurements or just incapable people at the tailor department but it came out way too large. Mind you I am quite short/small at 4'11" and 150lbs, so not a routine sizing but still I thought that was the whole point if a custom shirt. So they size me up again and send it back abd I asked for no monogram. They make another shirt (didn't alter the original) identical to the first one, way too large and still with the monogram... so either they didn't read the new measurements or just weren't capable of doing it, I don't know. Needless to say I got my money back. Short story, if your an unusually sized individual do not bother getting a custom anything ar Jos. A bank. Date of experience: November 6, 2022
Erick from Milford is amazing at what he does has a great demeanor. He handles what comes his way efficiently and with a smile. He is absolutely top tier when it comes to customer service. This store benefits greatly from having him on staff. Products used:Shirt bow tie Service Value Shipping Returns Quality Date of experience: February 23, 2023
Today I was at the store on 1650 Market Street in Philadelphia PA ******* and I tried on 4 shirts. I decided to buy 1 because the markdown price sticker reflected 4.99. I walked to the back to be checked out, the associate was talking to someone else so I looked at some more items. He then checked me out and the 4.99 sticker was gone and reflected $ 9.99. I brought it to his attention, and he said the sticker says $9.99. It's not the 5.00 but the principal. I believe the sticker was removed. If I ever go back to this store I will take pictures before bringing anything to the register. I will also contact the DGM and the corporate office. Tip for consumers:Please pay attention to your purchases. Service Value Quality Date of experience: June 6, 2023
I ordered 3 shirts online. I am certain that I checked size 17 32/33 for all three shirts. Before placing the order I reviewed the sizes on the screen and placed the order. When I received the online confirmation, one of the sizes was wrong. I then sent an email to their address to correct the mistake. I did not receive a return email confirming the request for correction of size. The next morning, I called their mail order telephone number and told that the order had been processed and was ready to ship, but the customer service department can not contact the warehouse, so a correction could not be done. So this company has a customer service department that does not read their emails nor can they contact their warehouse. Why bother? The employees at the Jos. A Bank in Brookfield, WI helped me out in an absolute pinch. Needed a tux that day and they were able to help me out through the process, even were able to match me up with a tailor who was able to hem the pants to my fitting, all within a few hours, on a Sunday. Made the whole process easy with no stress, including the financing. Deserve a tip of the cap! Products used:the whole tuxedo Service Value Quality Date of experience: October 26, 2022
Well I did my Trying on my tuxedo my pants hem came down. The gentleman said he would that fix it pick it up tomorrow. Which I did upon trying it on one hour before my daughters wedding both hams by dragging on the floor. I took it to the cleaners near my home and he took care of it. I was trying to purchase some items online. The credit card transaction was approved, however, the company told me the transaction was declined. I contact the credit card (AMEX) company and confirmed the transaction was successful. I ask the reasons code for the decline but the representative was unable to provide me with the information. Financial institutions ask me for a reason code, but the store was unable to provide me. I do not recommend it the purchase at all. Jos A Banks store at 4601 Creedmore Rd. Suite 107 Raleigh NC ******* I do not think I will ever be back. The entire staff walked around me like I was not there. I had looked at the website and saw that they were having a clearance sale. I walk into the store and they were chatting among themselves. I WAS THE ONLY CUSTOMER IN THE STORE! No one says anything, to me at least. A white guy walks in behind me and gets the red carpet treatment. I have experienced similar treatment at another Jos A Banks here in Raleigh in Cameron Village. You can learn a thing or two from Chick Filet. They appear to want (almost) everyone's business! At least they say hello when a customer walks in! Is there a culture of poor treatment towards black people in your stores? If so, no problem. My money is as green as anyone else's and I have no problem, I am actually happy spending it with people that at least pretend to want my business. I see why you all are laying people off. Tip for consumers:Do not spend your money where you are not celebrated. Products used:none Date of experience: October 26, 2023
My first time going to this store for my son. I walk in, no once welcomed me. My son and I walked the whole store and not anyone in that store offered or asked if either of us wanted or needed any help. We found something we wanted to purchase and this fool, black dude with locs was on the phone, he knew we were waiting to be checked out and not one time did he or this other idiot with yellow or orange hair tell us we would be right with you. I had to seek this other idiot with yellow or orange hair to check me out, when she gets to the register, the black dude magically gets off the phone. I cam back and got a refund because I refuse to buy anything out of this store. The whole time my son and I was shopping the black dude was in the chair like he was at home. The MOST unprofessional customer service I have experienced and I go to walmart alot and when I come in walmart, they speak. Will never shop or refer anyone to this store or establishment. Tip for consumers:horrible service, this store should get an award for the most horrible service thus far. Of all places, Walmart would win compared to this trash customer service Products used:nothing Service Value Shipping Returns Quality Date of experience: September 27, 2023
Walked in the sale person ask how she could help. I told her i wanted a black suit she had me try on one jacket it did not fit my mid section could not button it up. She took the jacket back and said she could not help me and trold me to go to a different store. Date of experience: November 10, 2022
I don't usually write reviews. However, because I'm in sales, and critical of "scripted salespeople" I wanted to acknowledge this unexpected professional level of service. I stopped by the Spring Creek Plaza store to browse for a suit for my husband. We are attending a wedding and he needed a new suit. I was greeted and given several suggestions by Tony. Hmm, I thought I'll ask my husband to come talk to Tony. We both came in, finding Tony courteous, professional and full of helpful suggestions. Tony fitted my husband for 2 custom suits. After the final fittings, we were so pleased with the fit and service that my husband took in several old clothing items for alterations. Thanks Tony, you exceeded our expectations. Bought two pairs of shoes online very cheap a month later still haven't gotten the shoes so I reached out to them. They are saying that they had a system issue and they were willing to give me a $25 gift card on the purchase of $125 or more. My whole honor was $19.25. They are saying that they had a systems issue at the doing a search online I found that they have done this multiple times not just with me. They lower you in with cheap prices and then you do not get your owner but they offer you a $25 discount on 125 bucks. My son is getting this week end and my husband waited until last minute to get his suit. After several failed attempts at other merchants I told him to go to Joe A Bank. From the moment we walked in the store we were treated with such warmth and welcoming. We went to the Hickory, NC location and our associate was "Scottie". She was so helpful in getting what we needed in the time crunch. Her knowledge of material and color is superb. It was a wonderful experience truly. Picked his suit up today after alterations and it is one gorgeous suit. We will definitely shop there in the future and recommend to all our friends. Thank you Date of experience: August 20, 2019
Have been going to this location for a few years and always thought the service was great. Of course, the first time I experience a problem, I get no help or options... just sorry we can't help you. I bought 3 suits a year ago and have only worn them a few times (at best). The other day, I crouched down to pick something up and the pants split in the back (a little embarrassing). So when I brought them back they said there's nothing they can do. Not, hey let's see if we can find the same suit pants and see what we can do. Nothing. Well, goodbye Joseph A Banks! Never going back. Date of experience: June 14, 2019
I have purchased JAB clothes for years and up until recently the product and service had been excellent. I just purchased 14 polos and 6 dress shirts. The polos are great. 3 of the 6 dress shirts are the wrong size/fit. How can some not read a size and fit in the collar. Pretty straight forward. This retailer has gone downhill since Men's Warehouse bought them. Time to fine a new clothier. Date of experience: June 25, 2021
Jos. A Bank provides good to excellent quality men's clothing (at least in more expensive level suits/jackets/shirts, etc.) at very reasonable prices. Certainly, Bank's clothing is the equal of that at Nordstrom's or Macy's. Date of experience: January 16, 2016
When you walk into a store with no customers and 3 employees, you'd think at least one of the employees would stop talking to the other two and ask if they could help you. I would have bought a suite, probably 2 shirts, and a tie. Instead, I'll end up somewhere else. They must not work on commission and business must be good. Apparently, they don't need mine! Has a difficult to navigate website (I don't care how many colors you sell; I only care those in MY SIZE). Shipping takes a long time (>1 week) and a return I sent back was lost. Since they do not provide tracking numbers, it appeared that I was going to be out the price of a shirt. 1 month later, I have yet to receive a refund (the shirt was incorrectly described). Lastly, a review I provided was returned unpublished. Why? "Did not meet our website guidelines". Date of experience: January 16, 2017
My husband used to buy most of his clothes at Joseph Bank. The quality USED to be very good. Recently he bought two pairs of pants that the regular price was around $90. Brought them home to compare to his older pants from Joseph Bank... what total c rap! The fabric was cheap... the seams were terrible... well, I guess this is what you get when it is m are in Malaysia. And when he was in the store i was looking at plaid shirts. I would have flunked Home Ec in. High school if i had done suc h a bad job of matching the plaids. I think we would have done better shopping at Walmart. Do you even have someone working in Quality Control? Goodbye! Date of experience: April 6, 2017
This site proves to be very confusing in their navigation, filtering and general experience. Are there deals to be had here? Yes. Just takes a few times to learn to use their technology. I have also had difficulty with using their sale codes on occasion. Beware however, they are a SERIOUS user of re-marketing ads on other websites, so if you click on that polo shirt and decide to not buy it, it will follow you for days by their ads on other sites. Site takes patience I guess. Date of experience: May 1, 2014
How would you feel if you sent a review of a product, JAB did not publish it and you received a note back addressing you (me) as "Richard head"? Would you ever shop there again? Would you ever recommend JAB to anyone. Me neither. I have it in writing. I gave them two stars for the product and made suggestions on what to do better. But... any criticism reveals their lack of a spine JAB can kiss my business g'bye. Now that is customer service, eh?... you can bet you can believe the reviews of their products.
