  • Monster(魔聲) Review

In less than 4 hours you charged me over 70 dollars. What a scam! Your goal was to get your monthly maximum, of hundreds of dollars, as fast as possible. I wanted to discuss this with you, considering I got not one hit.instead you debited my account immediately. Talk about unfair business practices, you're greedy. I'll never use you again and I will do all I can to slander you, or as I call it.the truth.
In the last few days Monster has not worked at all. My advice is use zip recruiter or career builder or Snagajob. You'll be much happier.
Worst experience with premium service. After paying money no response not job referral, wasted my hard earned money. They are cheater, so not waste your money by buying premium service.
My recent experience with Monster.com has left me thoroughly disappointed and frustrated, to say the least. The platform not only failed to deliver on its promises but also engaged in dishonest billing practices that left me questioning the integrity of their services. First and foremost, the issue of transparency arose when Monster.com charged us for months of service without any notification or consent. It was alarming to discover these unauthorized charges, especially considering that we were not benefiting from their services. The lack of communication and transparency on their part is a clear indication of their disregard for customer satisfaction. Attempting to address the situation, I reached out to Monster.com's customer service in the hopes of resolving the matter and obtaining a refund for the unused and undesired services. However, the response I received was far from satisfactory. The company refused to refund the charged amounts, leaving us stuck with a service that provided little to no benefit to our hiring efforts. Moreover, the effectiveness of Monster.com in assisting with the hiring process is questionable at best. Despite the substantial financial investment, we observed minimal returns in terms of qualified candidates and job placements. The platform's purported advantages in connecting employers with potential candidates were not evident in our experience. Given the dishonest billing practices, the lackluster customer service, and the minimal benefits offered in return for the substantial fees, I strongly advise others to steer clear of Monster.com. There are more reputable and transparent alternatives in the job search and recruitment market, with Indeed being one such example. In conclusion, Monster.com has proven to be a disappointing and unreliable platform that fails to prioritize the interests of its customers. Save yourself the frustration, financial loss, and wasted time by exploring alternative platforms that genuinely deliver on their promises. Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
For what you will pay especially from recruiting and staffing agencies, it is absolutely not worth it because most of the people applying to the jobs are not qualified. The system itself is not optimized to focus on the qualified candidates. You cant pre screen them with questions because they barely get the traffic so that feature is not there. They let everyone apply and that leads to $#*! load of unqualified candidates applying. I signed a long term contract in the hope of learning and adjusting and I am regretting it dearly. Monster used to be good during my college days and I thought it is still the same monster so I signed up because of glory days reputation and I was hit hard. Several calls has been made and their CEO was informed twice to see if there is a way I can be unlocked from the contract because of poor performance of the platform but all they did was ping pong me with their employees, ghost me, ignore me and the cycle continues so that I continue to pay as we roll from month to month.. You'll just get a bunch of phoney resumes that don't represent real people, plus you cant reach out to anyone. What a waste. I'd rather have an actual monster helping me. Tip for consumers:Do NOT use this site. Products used:Posted a job, what a WASTE. Service Value Quality
Placed a job ad. Immediately started charging for fake clicks, there were no real applicants at all. I cancelled the ad immediately and got another bill a month later. Incompetent, dishonest staff will not detail the charges beyond very vague "as per the terms and conditions" - which doesn't apply after I've cancelled the job post! Absolutely criminal, scam, fraudulent joke. Tip for consumers:SCAM. RUN. What an absolute waste of time and money. Products used:NONE. Service Value Quality
I had to delete and remove myself from monster as I was receiving multiple unqualified calls and email. Recruiters aren't qualifying their leads before contacting me offering very low paying jobs. A lot of call from people in India calling many are possible scam. Don't use monster. Terrible terrible organization. We bought the Monster Employer subscription, sold to us by Sunny Arora, this dude sold us a service for unlimited searches and 50 AD posts for 1 year.at no point did we use up to 50 AD post. When I complained to Sunny he said we were supposed to update old posts and not use new ones, information that was not passed on to us as at the time of purchase. These folks then later cut off at the end at the beginning of a month, but still sent us a bill for a full month. These folks are a bunch off scammers and have terrible customer service, no time when we had an issue did they help to fix the issue at all which is why we choose not to resubscribe. If you love yourself run away from these scammers. Ruuuunnnnnn Service Value Quality
As a business owner, I am always on the lookout for efficient and effective ways to find qualified candidates for my service company. Unfortunately, my recent experience with Monster.ca has left me disappointed and frustrated. Here's why: Unfriendly User Interface: Navigating the website was a challenge due to the unintuitive and cumbersome user interface. It was a struggle to find and manage the features I needed, resulting in wasted time and effort. Unresponsive Customer Support: I submitted a help ticket to resolve some issues, but I never received an email response within the promised 1-day timeframe. In fact, I never received any response or even a confirmation that my ticket was received. Inexplicable "Paid Clicks": While I did get some clicks on my job posting, I was also charged for "paid clicks" without any explanation of what they were or why I was paying for them. This lack of transparency is concerning and frustrating. Overcharged: I explicitly requested a $10/day budget, but within less than two days, I was charged $50. This unauthorized and unexpected charge is unacceptable and reflects poorly on Monster.ca's billing practices. Poor Applicant Pool: Despite being charged for over 19 "paid clicks", I only received two applicants, neither of whom were located in Canada (despite my ad clearly stating this requirement). As a service business, this was a major issue and rendered the entire process useless. No Applicant Search Function: The platform does not offer any way to search for applicants or understand what you are paying for, which severely limits its usefulness as a hiring tool. I cannot recommend Monster.ca for your hiring needs. Save your time and money by exploring other, more reliable options for your recruitment needs. Tip for consumers:I would just recommend to not use it and to save your money. You should use other options. Products used:This is a recruiting tool. So I used the website to try and get applicants for a Marketing/Service role in my business. Service Value Quality
The monster platform is user-friendly for job searching, however the job postings are at times misleading. Also, when I receive job information, sometimes the location is so far away from the area that I am interested in or even in another state. Tip for consumers:there isn't any other services that they give you. You upload resume and cover letter and that's it, there isn't. No advice. Service Value
Posted a job. Did not get a single candidate. Emailed them to cancel. They charged me 130$ for one month for nothing Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
It may not have been specifically monster, could've been career builder, or any of the other sites I went to while looking for a part-time job. I have been inundated with spam calls for the last three months. If it wasn't monster, it was one of them selling my data.
I used Monster years ago to find a job. There were many that I was qualified for which I did actually stop because I went on disability. There are several job sited out there that I feel are just as good as Monster.
No trial period, they lock you in a contract and then threaten to sue you and ruin your credit because you want to cancel. Threats of litigation, intimidation and attempts to discourage you from filing complaints with any governing agency. They are NOT small business friendly, beware they will bleed you dry with their bogus contracts. They don't seem to realize business owners will speak out and tell one another. Its apparent why Monster.com is not utilized by other businesses or prospective hires. Lots of threats and intimidation, don't make the mistake we did. Cannot attach photos of our emails or they will advance the threats further to get me to remove this review. Tip for consumers:Find something else, don't sign any of their contracts its a scam Products used:Sold us a bogus membership to post jobs. Used the service for 2 weeks and they refuse to cancel our "contract" and are demanding full payment. They have threatened us beyond belief, buyer beware. Service Value Quality
I rarely use Monster.com because it's just not user friendly for job seekers. If I search by Remote, it doesn't only show remote jobs, you have to manually enter their filters and select "Remote Jobs Only" to remove all the in office/hybrid options. Why it doesn't automatically select that when we search for Remote makes no sense to me. Even after selecting "Remote Jobs Only" I'm still seeing in office roles. I would rather have no results than a ton of results that don't match what I'm looking for. Simply put, it's a waste of my time. There is also no way to report jobs that aren't truthful. Many say they are remote but then in the job description it says they are hybrid. There is no way for me to report this - a clear sign Monster only cares about the companies paying them and not the job seekers using their platform. Several have had differing titles, making it impossible to really tell what the job entails but again, there is no way to report these to be reviewed. Run away - do not use Monster.com if you can avoid it.
Monster will match you with any job that key words on your resume with no filtering. Looking for Data Base Administrator jobs? They will send you Administrative Assistant jobs. I also got calls for over twenty scam companies trying to get me to send my SSN. No one is verified, you might as well use craigs list to find a job. I had a terrible experience in the early 2000s with monster, I assumed they had improved in the last decade, they have not, stay away. Service Value Quality
Under no circumstances should you ever make a profile on Monster. I learnt the hard way after making one. I'm not exaggerating when I say I was harass endlessly. Phone calls, texts and emails every few minutes by these terrible "recruiters" that didn't even bother to look at my resume. Phone calls and texts at 6am! It's better now that I deleted my profile. I had to pick up a few of those calls and be mean. Id also ask where they got my information. Monster. I even selected the do not show my contact information options... got people calling me confidential...
The only job offers that i received by applying to anything with them were all scams. Sold my number to keep harrasing me. Service Value
We were hiring new employees and signed up for a free trial through monster.com. We only had one applicant in that free trial time frame, so we decided to sign up for a full actual month. It was literally hundreds of dollars to get 4 applications- 2 which were not even local and wouldn't be able to work anyway. We were hopeful that spending so much for quality applicants we would at least have one we would hire. Tip for consumers:See for yourself in the free trial, if you don't get any quality applicants in the first few days, you probably won't get many if you continue with the first month. Products used:Monster.com we used the mid-range site and did not glean much traffic for this job posting. Service Value Quality
My order ID is ******* I paid 3K for resume writing. Please b e aware, we need to follow up after payment and it will not be helpful. I bought there resume build and booster/xpress services after many phone calls, they claim the best service and guaranteed interviews with big companies, this was my understanding, after payment I discovered this is junk and they buy resumes writing from other cheaper resources and no interviews. I lost over 200$ Tip for consumers:Be very careful and don’t be fooled with this website
What a why to get your blood pressure pumping! For the past few weeks cus service would call to confirm hotel. They asked for all names of travelers and date of birth. Everything was great. Got plane tickets and all. Than three days before we set to leave they call and say, sorry kids are to old (16/15) and can't go. I flipped out on them could not believe what I was hearing. They gave me a refund for hotel but still had air plane tickets. So I had to find another hotel on my own. What's really funny is they called me again today and asked if I wanted to book another trip. Never again. The name Monster fits them well Tip for consumers:Monster travel sucks Products used:None Service Value Shipping Returns Quality
I have not been able to find any work from this site. I still use it though. Just keep looking and keep trying. The site glitches some times. They will also send you to another website to sign up for just to apply for that job. That's too much work.
