Been doing business with pc Richard for 15 plus years, bought a speed queen wash September 18 delivered on the 20th. One week into using it it started making a funny noise like an owl only way I can describe it lol. Called for service which took a week. Technician told me transmission needs to be replaced. That should be an automatic replacement well ……. No it can be fixed. Speed queens no help. Just a heads up they don't back up what they sell nor does speed queen. Products used:Speed queenI purchased a gas range and when it arrived was told I had to buy a new gas valve for $150, cash or check no credit card, otherwise the oven wouldn't be installed - it would just be left in the middle of my kitchen. It seemed like an extremely high extortionate price but I was over a barrel and bought it. Fortunately, the delivery guy just happened to have a brass valve in his pocket. I found out later that these valves sell for between $7.00 and $16.00. And a friend pointed out that it would be incredible if I really did need a new one since brass is more corrosion resistant than stainless steel and gas lines don't transport corrosive material like water. That made me feel even better! $150 was a staggering ripoff - almost 1/4 the cost of the entire range itself! - and I fell for it. Congratulations, PC Richard. I'm embarrassed by how easily PC Richard scammed me but I won't let that stop me from publicly telling my story in every review forum I can find. There's a Lowes and a Home Depot within 2 miles of the PC Richards in West New York, NJ. I've purchased many major appliances from them over the years (decades); their prices are competitive with PC Richards for the same machines and they've never once ripped me off the way PC Richards has. Please do yourself a favor and avoid PC Richards like the plague. Go to any of their many, nearby competitors.Stay away from PC Richards. Remember Gordon Gekko, the evil guy from the movie "Wall Street" that said "greed is good" and then destroyed people's livelihoods? PC Richards is the Gekko of appliances. They do everything to sell you, at which they are excellent. Then they stick you with people who do measurements to make sure your refrigerator fits and they do the measurements wrong (and you pay them for the measurements). Then they send delivery people who verbally threaten you and do nothing when you report them; then they leave refrigerators outside your apartment (when they have been paid to install them); and then tell you that you have to wait 10 days for service when the refrigerator does not work. STAY AWAY. Tip for consumers:Do not let them bamboozle you into purchasing their applicances. They will hang you out to dry and then bar you from publishing a negative review.
