They started out as a limited time brand discounter but evolved into an order consolidator with lots of low quality merchandise from numerous Chinese retailers and QVC rejects, with some recognized brand offerings from time to time (which you usually can find for the same or close to same price on Amazon). Their shipping times (often a month or more) are ridiculous and their return policy is onerous. They suddenly cancelled items twice when I inquired about their status after waiting 3 weeks. They apologized and gave me $10 credit. Obviously hoping I'd be gullible enough to order from them again.
Tip for consumers:Unless you recognize a brand name proceed with caution and believe customers' negative product reviews. Expect to wait for your order.

Told the vendor did not have inventory, checked directly with vendor and they show "in stock." Horrible customer service. And get ready for the constant SPAM emails once you make an order (2-3 daily). Do better Zulily.

Date of experience: June 13, 2023I've been shopping on Zulily for more than 12 years but I'm now done. The quality over the years and their customer service has waned. I understand they were sold and are under new management but if you make your products look amazing on your website then expect the customer to be happy with poor quality while paying a typically hefty price tag PLUS shipping then requiring another shipping cost to return it, in the age of Amazon, how do you expect returning customers?!

Date of experience: September 30, 2023I've purchased quite a few items from Zulily. It's my opinion to only order trusted name brand items. Anything else can't be trusted. Either quality is poor or sizing is for elves! Shipping is absolutely atrocious so don't be in a hurry to receive your item(s). Expect 3-4 weeks. Frustrating!
Date of experience: June 21, 2023Bought a pair of shoes that was clearly irregular when I received the shipment. Returned them and stuck paying for incoming and out going shipping cost. Owe $10.95 for shoes I don't have. Thank God I had open their credit card so the return went back to the credit card and I am not stuck with a "store" credit to use on another purchase. I am now cutting up their credit card and will NEVER order from this company again. First and last time.

Changes have also been mage to their platform and some great services are no longer being offered. I have been a Zulily shopper for over 10 years and once I get this resolved I will delete their app!

Date of experience: November 16, 2023When Zulily started, it offered good products from reputable brands. Not anymore. Clothes, for instance, are made of cheap materials, with poor craftsmanship. Some clothes actually fall apart before they are even washed. In summary, Zulily's "good" prices are way too expensive for what you get.
Tip for consumers:Just don't buy there.

Date of experience: February 4, 2023I give props to whoever Zulily uses to photograph their junky clothing, because everything looks amazing in their website, but then you actually get the item and it's crap! And let's not even talk about the sizing, because I think they use miniature people as their size guides. Yup. Their stuff used to be decent, now, it's just badly sized garbage.
Date of experience: April 30, 2023Do NOT buy from Zulily. Their return policy is absolutely horrible. I needed to do an exchange for my sons shoes for his AFO's (not shoes you can just go in and try on) Zulily makes their customers return through Canada Post (who they have an agreement with) and the customer has to pay the return shipping….so I paid $5.99 for shipping from the company originally. All I need is a size down in shoe and now I'm required to spend $25 a box to ship back. Canada post is expensive. So now I have eat close to $50 plus tax. My son has a disability and they don't care about taking money we need for him. I guess I'm out shoes and the money! So annoyed! Lesson learnt. Will never order through them again.
Date of experience: September 13, 2023I purchased a dress nearly 4 weeks ago with a shipping date of 5-10 days. It has still not arrived. The only way you can contact them is through a computer "chat" line. They kept telling me it was going to be shipped shortly, and now just the other day it shows up that it was out of stock and they have no idea when it will be shipped yet they had no problem charging my credit card. I am now going through the hassle of cancelling the order and trying to get a refund.

You are responsible for reading each vendors sizing so you have to pay attention. And everyone complaining about the return policy you should always read the return policies before you order something. If your concerned don't order it. I have over 100 orders and had problems with one. I will continue to shop their great deals.

Customer service hasn't refunded me for an order paid in full.
Store credits are not available from the site. The codes provided are not working.
Unable to change Country currency to CAD from USD (default)
I'm done with Zulily. Yesterday Customer service assistance had me on hold throughout breaks of 10 minutes for a total of 30 minutes and refund and store credit haven't been resolved.
Do not shop here!
Tip for consumers:The new website is not user friendly, unable to view past orders history. Store credit is no longer available, need to wait for Zulily email with codes which don't work. Long calls with Customer Service who seem not well trained to handle certain requests. I will no longer be shopping from Zulily.

Shirt arrived, was probably 2-3 sizes smaller than listed.
In order to return, I have to pay return shipping. But they won't refund, I'll get credit for them. No, I don't plan on wasting more money with a bad company. I'll take my business somewhere better.

Date of experience: April 6, 2023Bought a leather jacket. Arrived wadded up in a plastic bag and it was polyurethane and smelly. Returned it two months ago for store credit which doesn't appear in my account and customer service keeps telling me they've emailed me with the credit code, and there is no code in my email. Do not buy from them. Used to be a great bargain place for deals but this year it went so far downhill that I'm done. I'm sure I'll never get my credit after about seven emails from them telling me they already sent it.

Then the item doesn't fit and they charge you $5 to ship it back and give you a store credit for a future purchase. I decided to just donate the item because I won't be shopping at Zulily ever again so I would not be able to yse a store credit. Awful shopping experience. Clothes are not true to size.

They won't do anything because it's been too long. So frustrating. They messed up and sent the wrong product in the correct box.

Date of experience: September 4, 2023All three pairs are very poor quality and each shoe came in a plastic bag along with other items in another plastic bag and the bags were torn. Shoes are all flat with creases. The shoes are not made of leather material. Stitching is showing and material is cut poorly on the red shoes. Toe strap is loose.
When I walk in the brown and white shoes they will not stay on my feet. The straps are too loose. Both have creases. Again, I show the picture of the shoes on line and then as I received them.
Products used:I will throw the shoes away. If I return them they give a store credit and I will not buy anything from them again.

I ordered a size 44 and was sent a size 40, they got shipped out of a state that's 2 hours from me and I asked them for an exchange and they wouldn't handle that. I said I would get the item back to them asap and all they can say is "there is nothing we can do for you" the supervisor is way worse than the representative. I will never ever shop from there, again!

Date of experience: October 24, 2019I still shop frequently from Zulily, with the understanding that I am taking a chance. Ordering clothes and shoes online is risky, especially with no returns. I've received items I have loved, and others I've hated. If the quality is really poor, I will express my opinion to customer service, which is quite good and quick to respond. There are brands I know. Can trust, and I do like the ever changing items on offer. Overall, I'm pleased with this site. I will say, sometimes shipping takes a long time but I'm mostly ok with that
