    I never understood why do we keep buying anything from Guitar Center. Their merchandise is in very low quality, and their guitars look cheap even though their prices are up in the sky. Whatever you want to buy from Guitar Center, you can find it anywhere for way less. Moreover, the resale value of their guitars is zero, according to them. 10 months ago I bought a guitar from their Sherman Oaks store for nearly $500. I went there earlier today, I wanted to exchange the guitar for another one they have and I was willing to offer money on top. They offer to buy my guitar $75! A guitar that I bought 10 mo ago, from the same store, for $500, and wanted to sell it back in the same condition I got it, they offered $75 for it. By that they told me "Do not buy anything from Guitar Center, you won't be able to sell it later". I didn't ask for $500 and I knew to expect way less than that. But $75?!...It happened to me a few times before at their store. Why will you buy anything from Guitar Center? No wonder they are bankrupt, we are suckers but only to a point!     The man the was helping me tried to get me to buy a bass that was way out of my price range, seemed like he took me for a sucker because of how young I am. He jumped in to help me for commission when the first gentleman walked away. The first gentleman actually had to step in when the first guy tried to sell me the bass I wanted for full price when it needed to be fixed because of fret buzz.     I have had several good visits to our local Guitar Center in Evansville, In. I stopped in today to buy a guitar case that was on sale. A younger male with bushy curly brown hair asked if he could help me. I pulled out my phone, showed him the case I had in my cart online. He looked it up, said he had 2 of them. Told me it may be a few minutes before he can find it. I replied no problem, I will look around a bit. Well the next thing I see him on the floor, ignoring me, talking with another employee, then reorganizing something in a box, looked at me, turned the other way. I am thinking what did I do... Then I went up to another man with beard, I think he is mgr, and told him what I was looking for and the more I thought about it, hell no, Ill order online and have it shipped to me. I wont be back.     I placed a simple online order for one book. I get an email stating I need to call in the complete verification in order to release the item for shipping. Erik Cisneros From Guitar Center answers and literally demanded a bank statement to prove this wasn't a fraudulent charge. They suspected fraud because I used my husbands debit card, which is a joint account we share, and the shipping address had my name on it instead of my husbands. The other option was to call my bank and get some verification merchant code? Complete waste of time and very frustrating. I will not be shopping here ever again.
    I was given a snare head for Christmas. Clear Remo black dot. As it turns out it's awful. I chatted online with an associate on Dec 31st. He said I could return for a refund. Today, Jan 1st, received a text msg being told drum heads non returnable. I said, not even 2hrs on it, no marks at all. I didn't want a refund. I would like to exchange for another snare head.     I recently bought a Squire bronco bass. Sounds great, and after you adjust the action, it is a band worthy bass. However I also recently got the nut of my guitar fixed. Yikes! $90!. Which is absolutely outrageous. (In my professional belief). The tool kit is $30, and a good quality nut is $10. I get having to pay the bills, but $90, is a bit much.     I've been emailing with an Eric Eldridge with guitar center and he sent me a bad Ibanez and won't exchange it for me. I took my guitar into guitar center to get looked at and they didn't recognize they sent me a bad one. Instead charged me $100 for a horrible setup and sent me on my way. Very unhappy customer with Eric and guitar center. Don't ever buy from them. Sweetwater seems to care more about their customers than guitar center.
    Be careful buying any guitars right now, lots of counterfeit knock offs have been retrieved by border agents custom's and DHS if memory serves me correctly..     Customer is beware if you buy used equipment online from guitar Center don't. I purchased two acoustic guitars online but before I did, I called up and spoke to a sales associate to take a look at the guitar the first time and they said it was an excellent condition. It wasn't. It was broken the second time I tried buying a guitar eight months later, I called up again, spoke to the sales associate, and they assured me that the guitar was in great shape, a day later, I got a phone call after purchasing the guitar from the sales associate telling me that the guitars got a huge crack on the side of it and if I still want it and I just said no that's it. I will not shop at guitar Center anymore.
    Just purchased my second Evolve 30M online through Guitar Center. The unit arrived yesterday in great condition but was missing the backpack case for the poles and speaker. I called customer service and they said that the used unit didn't show any accessories. I told them that the photo for the listing clearly showed the case. They would not budge. This will be the last time I will buy something online from Guitar Center and not sure I will even buy anything from our local store. Buyer beware!     I had been shopping for a taylor guitar for my daughter. I found one here but I live in Chicago. I called and asked if it came with a gig bag, the associate told me yes. I ordered the guitar online the next day. I got the guitar... no gig bag. I called the store. I spoke to 2 managers and now the 3rd one interrogated me like I was trying to steal a Les Paul from their showroom floor. He asked why I didn't order it when I called the store. What was the associates name. He told me that there was no way they told me that it came with a gig bag because it didn't. Finally I said "we are talking about a 20 dollar gig bag here sir" and he said FINE will 20 bucks appease you? That was the end of the conversation as I told him what he could do with the 20 bucks.     I called and ask a question about one of the Gibson Las Pauls. The person on the phone had zero interest in answering any of my questions, and was giving me one word answers.     I ordered a used DigiTech 2120 effects processor for $249.00. The condition was listed as "great" but that wasn't my reality unfortunately. The unit listed looked perfectly fine, faceplate lettering knobs screen (display). All looked immaculate. Do they even test this stuff before it leaves the store?     3 months ago I purchased a DigiTech GSP5 online from GC. It arrived on time and shipped well. Upon finding a power cable they did not provide, I discovered that the clock battery was shot. No big deal, $3 and ten mins I had that in. Annoyed, I moved on getting the equipment into my rack expecting to use it for modulation more than anything. Well, it emits a squeal and horrible noise on every setting. It just does not work. I contacted GC and was promised a refund, they were sending a label to me to send the item back. After several emails, I still do not have my refund. No label. And a boat anchor in my rack. Suffice it to say I will not buy another thing from them again. GC. NF. Never again for used equipment.     I ordered a new $1500 acustic guitar from guitar center.com (had it shipped to my house) it came in exactly 5 business days, the receipt said it would email you when it was on the way... But I didn't get one, so be on the lookout for you guitar or equipment on the expected date. It was wrapped up in thick bubble rap; around a hard case, It was brand new just as I'd bought it. Very pleased. I'm sorry for everyone else's bad experiences but this gets a five star from me. Service Returns
    Just try to unsubscribe from this CO. You can't through the website. I called 2X.They said I was removed. I still, after almost a week waiting, get one to two emails a day. I even forwarded one of their emails back to them as they requested. No luck. This company needs help with their own day-to-day communication operations. If you are reading this, Guitar Center, I promised that I would keep giving bad reviews and telling people not to shop with you, if you did not unsubscribe me.
    I was in the market for 2 Alto TS312 Powered Speakers. First, it shows they inventory at store, got their but no they don't have it. So sameday on Sunday I ordered online. Wednesday no tracking info. Called their customer service and "they have to reach out the store to see if they have inventory". No one were available. So I got fed up and canceled. The process I learned is just Stupid. They don't warehouse is fine but the store doesn't update their inventory status.     They typically have a great selection in both new & used instruments, and a friendly staff, however the staff I have found is generally not very knowledgeable at all about specific questions about a particular guitar or piece of gear. They seem to just have "general" knowledge. Not bad, but not great either. I guess if they paid more they could probably afford to have a more knowledgeable staff.
    I used to love browsing the guitar center site. I was a regular costumer while I live in the US, but now that I'm in europe, I can't even access the site anymore because they are not gdpr compliant. Please fix this!
    I purchased a drum kit online. Their site states that it will be delivered via frieght and customer wil be contacted to set up a delivery time. I called and spoke to 2 different people at GC that verified that I would be contacted after the purchase to set up a time for delivery. After placing my order I rec'd an email that night that the delivery was set for 2 days. I called GC to let them know I need to set up a delivery for a time that I would be home. They told me not their problem to contact friehgt co. Well it is on thier site stating I would be contacted and I spoke to someone. They could care less. They also have no contact info for the freight co. I wanted to set up a time/day so I would be home and it wouldn't be left at my front door for someone to steal. I was also told it would be 3-5 days which was great as I would have been home on any day from 3 to 10 days after placing my order so I wasn't concerned about a specific time. ALSO there is NO WAY to get in touch with Fed ex about the delivery. What a bunch of lies about delivery just to get the sale. Products used:drum kit
