They took our money right away and one months later informed us that the reservation was cancelled. The hotel had no idea what was going on. Three weeks later we still have not received any refund despite multiple emails and phone calls. Date of experience: December 10, 2018
DO NOT USE hotelsclick.com under any circumstances! They take your money and don't pay the hotel! This company is a complete SCAM! They took my money in July for a vacation that we booked for November. I call the hotel the night before check in and the reservation was cancelled due to non payment! Hotelsclick.com did not pay the hotel but took my money! The hotel was in Mexico and we live in California. Stayed on hold for 4 1/2 hours and didn't get a hold of anyone. Also emailed every email I could find and got a standard response. Never received any explanation for the nonpayment. We didn't want to lose our airfare so we had to book a different hotel on our flight to Mexico. Booking with Hotelsclick, com was the single WORST experience ever! Will never, ever use them again! Please stay away from this company! Date of experience: December 12, 2018
Scam, scam, scam. Paid them, got their email confirmation... Then, 4 weeks later they "cancelled" our reservation. Emailed & called asking about them returning our money - after several tries, finally got someone & they said that it would be returned to our bank account in "7-10 business days". Two weeks later, nothing. More phone calls & emails - and ZERO responses. Opened a fraud claim with our bank, providing copies of all of our emails and a statement of phone conversations. After another month, we finally got our money back from the bank - not from HotelsClick. Just don't do it folks, it's not worth the small amount of "savings". Date of experience: April 1, 2019
As other reviews tell you they offer hotel prices which are too good to be true. You get an instant confirmation but 2 weeks later are told the hotel has not accepted the reservation. I was offered another hotel for no extra charge... problem was the other hotel was a few hundred dollars cheaper for same dates on other sites! Date of experience: May 18, 2018
Read the terms and conditions carefully before using this site. While they claim you have a cancellation period, they charge you a administration fee of $25 Euros. It is buried in the Ts and Cs. Very deceptive practice! Date of experience: July 28, 2017
Booked a hotel in Dubai 3 months in advance. Received confirmation emails and vouchers etc. arrived to find no booking received. Attempts by hotel and myself to contact them came to nought. DONT use hotels click. Com. Date of experience: August 3, 2018
I paid for a hotel room in March 2018 for March 2019. Got an email in November saying room was no longer guaranteed and they would refund me. Weeks later it looks like they have gone bust and no refund. If you used a credit card claim back on that. If you used a debit card contact your bank and ask about chargeback. I used this site to book a hotel at a good rate, and paid upfront. I got my confirmation message with the correct hotel. When I reached the hotel, they had no record of my booking. When I contacted HotelsClick, they said everything was fine. Later, the hotel told me that HotelsClick told them that they had booked the wrong hotel, and this was my problem! It wasn't until I told this to HotelsClick that they gave me a refund a few days later. I was out of pocket twice, and lucky the hotel let me stay there! What's worse, for a hotel in Asia, HotelsClick only answer emails during European business hours (and don't answer the phone at all). Avoid at all costs! Date of experience: September 15, 2016
I made a booking on Hotelsclick.com, the accepted payment and sent a confirmation email. Then almost two months ago they sent and email cancelling the booking, I have yet to receive a refund even after multiple attempts to contact them with out response. Reference no. All, Never use hotelsclick.com again We booked our holiday in Austria for Christmas with our little son. We payed almost 1000 and now we got a email the reservation is canceled. I tried to call them but they don't answer the phone. I sent them a email and hope they will answer. If not we will go to the police. We were looking forward to have a nice vacation and they ruined that for us! Date of experience: November 28, 2018
Hotelsclick response to my review is simply not true. They never sent a cancellation email and they did send a confirmation email on the 15th February. This is a clearance shop for the hotel and not a very good one at that. Do not believe any email they send you as it is almost certainly untrue. Date of experience: March 2, 2018
Avoid, avoid, avoid. We booked through hotelsclick in feb 2018. We arrived at our hotel to be told your booking is cancelled. We had no email, no record, nothing. On phoning them from reception we were repeatedly told check your spam, check your spam. We told them we already have checked all our email and there is nothing. They offered no help so we were left to find another hotel online in an unfamiliar city. Will never use them again. NEVER AGAIN!” December 16th, 2016 I booked an all inclusive trip to Cuba on December 2 and immediately cancelled the same day. They do not advertise ANYWHERE their cancellation fees of $25 euros. They charged the cancellation fees immediately and sent me an invoice, however it's 2 weeks later and i still don't have my refund. I have emailed them repeatedly and they are unresponsive. Their customer service is horrible. NEVER book with them, their are unreliable and they do not respect the customer. READ all the fine print BEFORE you book any reservations with them. I went to this site and booked and paid for a 4* hotel in Albufeira. The reservation came from a 3rd party site hotel.de something I was not made aware of on booking. Cost was taken immediately from credit card even though it was supposed to be paid at hotel though now I know why it was a total rip off. I did not know there were several hotels here with the same name there was no address or hotel info on reservation. We were put in a 2* hotel and not the hotel we booked constant phone calls and emails later and still no resolution. Appalling service with each blaming the other. Avoid at all costs Date of experience: August 25, 2015
I booked a condo in Hawaii as a back up while waiting on confirmation from VBRO on a similar unit that was over $1000 less expensive for the week. Less than 12 hours after hotelsclick.com accepted my payment of $4500, I called them to cancel the 'fully refundable' reservation that had a cancellation deadline of 6 weeks from today. As soon as I gave the customer service person my booking reference number for cancellation, I was placed on hold. I have been on hold now for over 40 minutes, radio silence. I called the CS number on another phone and it has not been answered, asking me to hold, for 25 minutes now. Wish me luck! Date of experience: October 25, 2017
I wasn't sure this was even a real company for a couple days as I couldn't get in touch, no email responses, the phone kept going to voicemail. All their formats are in European, which makes it confusing. Hard accents to understand as well, adding to the frustration. Great deals, obviously due to cutting pay on customer service and adequate staffing. Tip for consumers:Know everything is in European format - backwards dates, etc. Plan far in advance if you need to call - and be persistent Service Value Quality Date of experience: July 9, 2015
I have pretty much same situation as others above. I should have read reviews before I booked my trip to Aruba in November. They charged me right away, got a confirmation. In November 28 I received an email that my reservation was cancelled. I called the hotel, they said the 3 rd party cancelled my reservation, the hotel never got my payment. We booked the non-refundable air fare tickets. The hotel can't do anything about it. The price was amazing, that's why they tricked me. Now if it was for free, I would never trust this company hotelsclick, terrible customer sercice, never called me back after lieaving so many messages, not taking phone calls, not responding to my emails. I can't get my money back from them. They work with Tourico travel agency, which is another scammer travel agency. Stay away from them. Use legit companies and read reviews. I booked with hotelsclick for accommodation in Perth over Christmas. Hotelsclick confirmed my 2 nights accommodation for 3 rooms and the reservation was paid in full. A few months prior to my stay, i received an email from hotels click advising that my booking had been canceled due to an admin and technical error. I contacted the hotel directly and they confirmed my booking had been canceled by Hotelsclick. After numerous emails back and forth, Hotelclick have advised that they can't refund my money as per their policy. Their service is absolutely appaulling Date of experience: January 14, 2019
Made reservations 3.5 weeks ago for 3 hotel rooms for 2 nights. All of a sudden this morning I received notification that my reservations were cancelled. When I inquired as to why they were cancelled since I did not initiate this action, I was emailed a note that the "supplier pulled all reservations" and that I would be unable to rebook at this rate. Oh, and by the way, did I want my money refunded? Duhhhh. Date of experience: November 26, 2018
I booked in October for a holiday in June. I paid in full. In November they told me they were having technical issues and to check with the hotel about my booking. The hotel said Hotelsclick.com had cancelled it. Since then I can't get any response from them, and they have my money. AVOID HOTELSCLICK.COM A complete scam Date of experience: December 19, 2018
I made a reservation for a hotel in Orlando on the 19th, money was taken from account and I was told i had to email them my photo id or passport photo and pic of my checkcard showing last 4 digits. This didn't sound right to me so I didn't send it. They said I had 12 hours to send it or reservations would be canceled. Well they put the money back in my account and now on the 23 they took it back out again but website says they cant confirm reservations. So its 4 days before I go and I'm in limbo if I have a room or not. Just want my money back so I can book somewhere else. Date of experience: May 23, 2017
Rude customer care when called, raised voice and condescending. Hotel booked said cancellation policy is active however it expired on the 27th when I booked on the 28th! Who does that? The cancellation policy was in fact that you dont get a refund however it does not say that clearly, the cancellation policy being active is only so you can cancel it but still pay for it full and for them to resell the room to someone else. I mean why even give that option to a customer to pay in full but cancel so you they can you make more money on it. Terrible site Date of experience: June 29, 2017
I booked a room in Tunisia via HotelsClick.com. I aid in full by CC. When I took the confirmation and the voucher to the hotel they couldn't find the booking and I was forced to pay the full room rate. Avoid them and stick to Booking.com. Dr A El-Modir Date of experience: April 10, 2017
Here is the message I sent to Hotelsclick: Hotelsclick, Please explain to me what's going on. Yesterday I purchased a four night stay at a hotel in Havana, Cuba, for our honeymoon. My fiancee said I should read up on your customer reviews before booking with you, but I didn't. I should have... Your site said it accepts Pay Pal so we used that. You took the payment, and displayed an"Acceptance of order" and "Confirmation of payment" screen, with five different sets of reference numbers that quickly disappeared if you try to print the page, and then sent no invoice or confirmation of any reservation at the hotel. It's a good thing I screen captured it. Your site warned me that my ". Payment, requested on line, has been switched to offline processing" and that "... it's status will remain waiting until the end of the offline process". My account page on your website actually says, that I have no bookings with you! What kind of shady scam are you working here? I got no response from your "Customer Care"phone number other than a voice message greeting that sounded like it was being played from an old cassette playing message recorder, and you never even responded to my email, even after your site claimed to have sent me an email. I don't appreciate being ripped off by someone who can't be found by an American, because you can just lay low in Venice Italy while you borrow my money for ten days until Pay Pal makes you pay me back! I want a clear confirmation from the hotel I payed for, or a full refund from you. Date of experience: August 25, 2015
I booked a room in Kuala Lumpur through this site basing it on photos and info provided. When we arrived at the hotel were told there was no booking and sent us downstairs. This smaller lobby said they had no booking and then a guy came from under the stairwell who had our booking. Turned out it was a privately owned room with no relationship to the hotel at all! There was no hot water, threadbare towels and the room was dingy and unmaintained. I complained to Hotelsclick through email. They said the guys would sort things out and then we were constantly approached by the man under the stairs so decided to book into the actual hotel we thought we had booked. Final response was no refund or any form of compensation. I would rate 0 if possible. DO NOT BOOK THROUGH THEM NO MATTER HOW GOOD THE RATE IS. Date of experience: September 6, 2017
I was trying to book a hotel to Siesta Keys for my anniversary weekend and TripAdvisor was showing a good deal, at least I thought it was until it turned out to be my worst nightmare. I was redirected to this site called hotelclick.com and as soon as I realized I was being redirected somewhere else that I know nothing about I hit cancel but guess what they already took all my information and not only did they book the hotel they chose their own date (wrong date). I clicked cancel again not even 30 seconds after I realize what a mess I was getting into and you know they sent me an email saying I will be charged a cancellation fee of $10. As of today I am still out $21.26, the price I agreed to was $158.25 they decide to charge me international fee I'm in the USA I was trying to make a purchase in the US at no point did I agree to making international purchase. So I was charged a total of $163.00 which I never agreed to and again I am short $21.26 after fighting with the bank about this problem. Stay away from scammers like this. If you have money to throw away fine but every dollar counts for me cause I work hard for my money. I think the good reviews here are done by their employee they pay them with the money the scam from people to write good review to make themselves look good. Be careful people and be smart.
